@PolariceSwiss hey, the ford mustang is great to drive, you got the V8 sound and power oversteer which makes the car a sort of challenge but also a ton of fun to drive!
However, i also recommend buying the Skip Barber formula car, but, you need to put alot of practice into it, since the car is really, really tricky to drive fast! If you do however manage to drive the skip barber fast, then any other car will be easy to control :)
Instead of punting him all you need to do is make a move to the inside and make him move down (like he did going all the way to the wall) then take the outside and pin him down so the only way to make the corner is to brake very early. If he moves up to get more room and hits you it will be his fault and if he over runs the corner and hits you again his fault. Then after the race protest him for reckless driving.
going across a second time to the wall was unnecessary though. I say give a small window and if they have the straight-line speed to pass just take the position back if you are quicker overall and continue to pull away.
@christheimperator and his blocking doesn't? I don't mind a good strategic block when in good competition, but when he is obviously faster than him down the straight, and he moves to the other side of the track to block him...more than once...that's slightly distasteful, and seen mostly by 13 year olds playing forza...or Michael Schumacher, who I don't like either
@Puma2113 well if you wanna give up a position without any fight then thats your choice, my defending was totally legal and after the race i had a nice chat with the driver of the orange mustang... You just seem to have no clue about motorsport, and i may add that i do professionaly race in the real world and there you see much more blocking / defending moves... oh well, you're just one of these sim racer i guess, that if they cant win easily they start knocking others out...
@Puma2113 That move was actually a fair one though. Technically, his streak across the start-finish straight counts as one defensive move, which is legal. You need to learn more about overtaking rather than taking the immature route and threatening to knock people off track for good, clean defending.
@Puma2113 Both times the driver made a move to the inside to defend his position (to get on the inside line for the next corner) in order to stop the driver behind getting an easy overtake up the inside. The driver behind was going with him in order to carry on getting the benefits of his slipstream and when he made a move to the inside there was no room- perfectly acceptable driving.
@Karto86 well spotted... but I do still race on my laptop... just this race i did on my girlfriends high end desktop pc... i wanted to see how it is with the graphics at FULL settings. Road iRating is 2608 and Oval is 1450 but i never race oval... which i think i should do. New idea... next video OVAL racing :D
