For example, the melody is a lot more important than BPM, the drops and builds, like those (in this music), are all from trance and its sub genres due to it's original mix, which is trance (from AvB)

But what defines trance the most is the sound (colder and more tech than house), the buildups that are like 3 mins long, and the breakdowns.
