  • WTF is that for music?

  • i say SUPER HALL OF FAMERS!!!

  • Damn! i am born too late!

  • The best team ever assembled.

  • 00:35 was that like a 5 on 2 fastbreak??

  • My friends and I always joke about Chris Mullin being on this team. While he was truly a great player and maybe one of the 10 best in the NBA at the time, looking back in retrospect, it's just kind of weird. I give mad props to Mullin, he was good. If you look at the legacies of the rest of the players (with the exception of Laettner), he just doesn't stack up.

  • Carmello Kobe LeBron Dwade Stoudemire Shaq KG DRose Jason Kidd, would shit on them

  • @tispowwow You list 9 players. 6 out of 9 would have been the worst player on the '92 Olympic team (not counting Laettner, and why would anybody?) Lebron, Kobe, and KG are your only 3 who would even deserve to get off the bench for the Dream Team.

Even if today's perimeter guys could avoid getting embarrassed by Jordan, Magic, and crew...there's still the ass-raping today's "big men" would suffer at the hands of Robinson, Barkley, Malone, Ewing, etc. God all-f***ing-mighty it would be ugly.

  • @DuhIdiot1 Kobe coming off the bench for ANYONE on the dream team? pshh. Carmelo is a better scorer than all of them. KG would boss anyone on the dream team. Dwade would've owned them too.

  • @tispowwow FUCKING KOBETARD

  • @DuhIdiot1 Kobe coming off the bench for ANYONE on the dream team? pshh. Carmelo is a better scorer than all of them. KG would boss anyone on the dream team. Dwade would've owned them too.

  • @tispowwow nobody is going into the paint if you got mj guarding kobe. Plus if you do good luck scoring on P ewing and David robinson. Plus john stockton and magic would deliver passes and probably average 40 assist combined. Kobe is a shot jacker. GTFO KID. Melo is just a plain shooter tough d-fense and he crumples same thing for KG.

  • This wasnt a Dream Team, because you can't even dream of a team like this!

  • ... I MISS MICHAEL!!!! :'(

  • everybody loves this dream team!

  • greatest sports team ever assembled simply put.

  • They never stood a chance!!! Greatest team ever assembled in any sport.

  • Ok I haven't read everyones comments, but I'm sorry, this team would completely TORCH the 2008 team. Not because last year wasnt good, but these are about 10 of the 50 greatest players of all time. Go listen to Jordan's interviews. They would stay up till like 3 or 4 in the morning just hanging out, then go and win a game by 50+. We had to start a national movement to get this team to practice. The Dream Team came for fun n still killed it. They are the greatest team ever assembled in anything.

  • fuck this gay shit, fucking gay ass youtube taking audio tracks...

  • Bottom line, we still have have great players today no doubt. But before we say the new guys are the greatest, Who were they looking up to? There's your answer.

  • The original dream team definitely is the ultimate basketball team. But one man is missing. Perhaps the best small guy ever who also brought the Pistons back to back championships and gave Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird major headaches in the mid-late 1980's. Isiah Thomas!

  • yeah true, he was included but couldn't get along with the other players because of his shitty personality. amazing bball player, yes, shitty , shady mother fucker.. uh... yes!

  • Legendary team......makes me cry.

  • When you think of the Dream Team you think of one person....Christian Laettner

  • lol

  • As Larry Bird said

"I Don`t Thin Anyone Today Could Stop a Prime Charles Barkley" :)

There is only 1 DREAM TEAM

We miss you REAL NBA STARS :(...

  • A Prime Barkley would destroy todays pussy league. Man I Miss Real Players :(

  • who charles barkley

  • put the term SIR...before you talk about Charles Barkley. No player today can compare to Charles. No Player Ever!

  • funny they had john stockton and karl malone in '92, and deron williams and carlos boozer in '08. if there was a time machine i bet the '08 squad will win, but not by much.

  • i agree

  • you're kidding, right?

the first dream team kicked butt :)

they worked flawlessly together, and won by a greater margin of points. granted, international basketball has gotten tougher, with more and more foreign players joining the NBA, including Peja Stojakovic, Dirk Nowitzki, and Yao Ming, but if you pit legends like Malone, Jordan, Ewing, Pippen, Johnson, and Bird against the likes of Paul, Williams, Bryant, James, Wade, and Bosh, the former roster definitely wins. it might be close.

  • the '08 squad has the size advantage in the crucial positions in international play, the wings. Jordan and Kobe could cancel each other out (but MJ is MJ), but James and Paul have the quickness and ability to be play-makers, with the talent and athleticism, the '08 squad simply has too much for Bird and Barkley. Robinson and Ewing would own the paint, but Howard and Bosh could hold there own. Anyway, the match-up is a real DREAM, and we will never know.

  • Size advantage at wing? Really?

    '08

Jason Kidd 6-4 Chris Paul 6-0 Kobe Bryant 6-6 Michael Redd 6-6 Dwyane Wade 6-4 Deron Williams 6-3 Carmelo Anthony 6-8

    '92 Larry Bird 6-9 Clyde Drexler 6-7

Earvin Johnson 6-9 Michael Jordan 6-6

Chris Mullin 6-7 Scottie Pippen 6-7

    John Stockton 6-1

I think '92 team had the size advantage at wing?

  • LeBron alone is the size advantage on the wing. I'm surprised you forgot he was on the team. I don't even think Pippen would stop him, and MJ would guard Kobe.

  • My bad, I thought I had him on the list of 1s,2s and 3s. I still think '92 team has the size advantage on the outside. They had Drexler and Stockton and Mullin as the 2nd unit in the backcourt, not to mention Malone an Ewing on the inside. The'08 team cannot match the depth of the '92 team.

  • pippen has 8 NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. he has the most career steals for a forward, with more than 2300. Pippen can stop James. but he would need a little help from other players with less potent matchups.

  • dude really for crying out loud! pippen wasn't even on the starting lineup. magic johnson is much bigger than any of 08's point guards. they would put larry bird on james, and if worst comes to worst, they could rotate barkley and bring in another superstar. lebron is only 6-8, and bird's outside shot creams king james.

  • rofl the translations are in cantonese :)

  • i have the full game in english on my page, come check it out and subscribe

  • REAL NBA "SUPERSTARS"..."REAL"!

  • por favor qual é o nome dessa musica instrumental que toca nesse clipe do Dream Team USA? David

  • going home by mark knopfler......it is a slow version

  • we pretty much just clowned on the entire world that summer

  • Definitely the Local Hero theme by Mark Knopfler. The version the DS always played live is a little different because of the instruments they used on stage - this might be the soundtrack album version, not sure. But it is definitely Local Hero.

  • nice song!!!

  • i dont think its the dire staits one. it sounds different that this one, but maybe im wrong. also, whats the spanish song?

  • the greatest, most talented, most dominating basketball team ever assembled EVER!

  • i wish i wuz around when this happened

    this guys where unstopple

    AWESOME PLAYAS

  • whats the song name?

  • to cowghjkt: the song is "going home"by knopfler mark...it is a slow version

  • they didnt play like show offs, they played with heart, and they played like a team, in 08, this usa team has to come out and show heart and show team-work!

  • this really was the dream team

  • No team can ever beat the original dream team... not even the current teams of the 2008 olympics... watching the original play.. and you'd know right away.. even with the level of play been elevated by the other countries competing in today's Olympics(2008)... the original can't be beaten... imho, not even in the next 20,30 or 50 years from now(though this is an exaggeration).. again, trying watching today's Olympics and compare the moves the original dream team displayed and you'll know.. peace

  • You are damn right. But 2008 team is second best so far! They are disciplinary targeted.

  • this is legend.. ah history of great players....

  • sin palabras.. unos mostros.. los mejores atletas de la historia del deporte

  • a msg to my parents

I wish you had made me at least 3 years prior to my birth date

I was a little baby to even know what basketball was all about

I mean i can just see this shitty videos with sad songs playing

DREAM TEAM is the best team ever assembled no matter the sport

  • 1992 Olympics is the one & only Dream Team, because they were the ones that started it all for USA. I have high hopes for the Redeem Team this years Olympics to bring the gold back to USA.

    Thanks for the video clip

  • They started with the name of dream team. because nba was that time universally the best basketball asociation and the best of the best players were taken out of ths association to build a team, when you saw them playing, it is like a dream: Dream Team '92. Peace.

  • yes i know that...thanks

  • There can be only one...

  • it should be "going home" by the Dire Straits, i think

  • what is the song in the backround starting in the beginning of the video?

  • el mejor equipo de la historia del baloncesto.

    Un equipo de dioses....

  • Glad 2 c someone has some footage of the best team ever put together!

  • really what was the point

  • My team, based on combinations and team moral would have been:

C: Olajuwon (if he was elligible to play)

    PF: Malone

    SF: Pippen

    SG: Jordan

    PG: Stockton

  • nice fastbreaks :D

  • Just watching these dudes play makes me want to cry with joy and nostalgia

  • CHARLES BARKLEY MVP!. NUFF SAID :)

  • Think about it: The Dream Team not only had at least 9-10 players in the all-time top 50 but they also had (some positions could be argued) the best player (sometimes the top 2) at EVERY position except center...where they were, ah, "forced" to make due with David Robinson and Patrick Ewing. There will never be another team like this. Ever.

  • imagine if they had kareem and hakeem at center.

  • Or Bill Russell for that matter.

  • Micheal Jordan is Enough.....

  • sorry, i was trying to put a positive when i inadvertently clicked on the thumbs down.... i'm all in agreement with you bro... Micheal Jordan is TRULY enough... Peace bro

  • Croatia, wow. Didn't you guys just get the internet? Maybe you should worry less about "black monkeys" and worry more about your neighbor stealing your goats and which one of your sisters military personnel plans on raping.

  • Thats a stupid comment "Saying Black Monkeys" I guess he feels proud of Kucoc-Petrovic an All-Star Caliber Player but not an TOP 50-60 NBA PLAYER which these guys where. Great Team but Croataia, we know Europe has elevated its game due to the fact that after a "Great Generation of the 80s" , after a Peak there is always decline for some years. Then again no European Team of the 2000s could handle this line up: SHAQ-DUCAN (C), KEVIN GARNETT (PF) LEBROM JAMES (F), JOBE BRYANT (SG), JASON KID (PG)

  • Exactly.

  • Even though the NBA`s Level of REAL STAR CALIBER PLAYERS (not these low shooting FG% highschoolers that i see) has down after the 90s there is no way any 2000s European team could handle this line up:

    CENTER: SHAQ/TIM DUNCAN

    PF: KEVIN GARNETT

    SF: LEBROM JAMES

    SG: KOBE BRYANT

    PF: JASON KIDD

What if the Usa Took Those Players To the World Cup in the early 2000s? What Would Have Happened?

Croatian dude, answer and get owned!

  • hmm point guard id go with chris pall

  • Awesome line up, especially using 2 PFs, James with Bryant would also be devastating and Kidd to playmake. WICKED!!!

  • wrong spelling..jobe bryant???

  • I mised up Kobe i know? but its understandable i clearly ment if the USA would have put their most competitive teams in the late 90s and late 2000s they would be unbeatable

  • Quite possibly the greatest team to ever be assembled. A team like this will not come around anytime soon, this was simply a remarkable moment in NBA history.

  • oh wow coach k was an assistant coach back then on the dream team and now he is coaching the usa team this year hopefully to bring back the gold home to the usa since the us lost at the last olympics.

  • this dream team did lose one game.they lost to the college all star team once in practice.mainly cause of bobby hurley.

  • Yeah, and the next day in practice that same college team manage to score something like 2 points; they were off of free throws.

  • Amazing team. Best team ever assembled in all of sports. The only thing that would've made it better would've been if they replaced Laetner with Shaq.

  • in 92 shaq didnt have all that weight yet and laettner schooled him twice in 91 and 92 when duke played lsu.shaq only dominated when he put on all that weight and bullied his way to the basket later on in the nba.because lets face it shaq cant shoot.

  • can anyone name the first song ?

  • The first song is the "Wild Theme" by Mark Knopfler.

  • The first song is called "Coming Home" and it's on the soundtrack of "Local Hero." It also appears on a few of the Dire Straits live albums...

  • what an incredible team. the thing i always thought was funny is that christian laettner was on the team, because of his then recent success at duke. all hall of famers, and then him and chris mullin. great video, great memories

  • i dont see how thats funny since they had to have one college player on the team those were the rules and they picked the ncaa player of the year.laettner went to the final four in all of his 4 years.how many players can say that.

  • yeah he was a great college player, but i didnt know they had a rule that they had to take the top college player in 92

  • well it didnt have to be the top player just a college player but i think they took the best college player.

  • definitely at the time he was, too bad he never had a great nba career, just a descent one

  • es el mejor equipo de todo la historia del basketball y de las olimpiadas

  • beautiful music to go along with a beautiful team to watch the greatest basketball team or any team ever assembled

  • a este equipo nunca se le va a comparar con otro este es el mejor equipo de la historia viva el dream team

  • hey man can you tell me where you got all this footage (assuming u didn't take it off of other youtube sites)
