  • @SabrinaPandora You are never to old to be a Girl Scout! Adult volunteers are always needed. Look into it, you won't be sorry, especially if you help more girls turn out like the wonderful young lady in this video! :)

  • Nice. "Peace out G-scout!"

  • I love it!

  • I am MTF transgender. good video!

  • Thank you for being such an amazing person and role model.

  • Love love this! you are amazing such a good role model! :)

    all sisters unite! <3

  • I love you AloisaMaria

  • I loved your video...just bought 5 boxes of cookies myself. Was a girl scout for several years, loved my troop...we were awesome. :)

  • You are awesome, this video gave me goosebumps.

  • YAY! As a straight, Christian man, I wholeheartedly support this video. Marvelous sentiment, and I can only hope that this mindset can be allowed to spread.

  • I'm sorry I just have to say it...your voice is amazing! xD

  • You go Girl Scout sister!!!!!

  • Wow, talk about vomiting hate. You are such an exemplary GS. *sarcasm*

  • you go girl!!!

  • I always find it comical how "open minded" some people are until a person opens their mouth about how they think homosexuality is wrong, or how transgenderism is perverted. Then suddenly, the people who are so "open minded" foam at the mouth, go out of their way to attack and bully the person who expressed something that they disagree with and THEY are the real narrow minded hateful bigots. Haters of God.

  • @warriorspikes51 When we DON'T "foam at the mouth" we're always attacked by conservatives for expressing different opinions.

I'm a Christian, but I'm also ME and I will fight to be me if necessary.

  • @warriorspikes51 Pro-tip: Tolerating intolerance is not a thing. IT is absolutely ok to be 'foaming at the mouth' about intolerant, bigoted, and racist idiots. The 'They are the real closed minded bigots' is such an old line that has never stood up in the arena of public discourse.

The original video was homophobic and transphobic. Attacking these disgraceful views is not a sign of intolerance or bigotry- You are not intolerant for criticizing bigoted behaviour.

  • What does God have to say on the subject? We are all sinners and must REPENT of our sins.

  • I feel the love and happiness. Right!

  • As a fellow lifetime member of the GSUSA - Right on Sister Scout

  • Note - keyboards issues being experienced. Anyway, for people not in the know - a teen girl was the person giving this message of hate. She's mimicking her parents feelings.

That girl does not realize she's being a bully. I think turning off comments was to enable them to link it to the website directly. Kind of stupid the video is after thinking about it. Peace Out!

  • Thank god for people like you AloisaMaria. Standing up for people who were wronged the minute they left the womb and entered this sick, biased world.

The mere notion of banning transgendered girls from scouts is absurd, and I was thinking society had evolved past such primitive ways of thinking.

The people who support the banning GIRLS from girl scouts are scum, and nothing less. God forbid they have to put up with the pain and misery a TG individual has to endure every day of their life.

    :/

  • @Coldchill83 what god are you thanking?

  • @warriorspikes51 I'm thanking the Christian God friend. And before you go off on me with the whole "Homosexuality's a sin!" trip, I believe God loves us for who we are INSIDE because that's the part of us that goes to heaven or hell.

Unless you're here to tell me our bodies have as of late begun to ascend to the high heavens after death. In which case ill be pretty frightened <=/

  • @BRexxors Shows how ignorant you are. Only 3% of PP funds go toward abortion services. So, tell me, being such a pro-lifer, you must not vote for candidates who send soldiers to war or who support the death penalty, right? I bet dimes to donuts you're a white male Christian. You are typically the ones getting up in women's health choices rather than focusing on the men who get them pregnant. Typical weak male BS. Blame the women for your shortcomings.

  • @rrenfro12 I'm really not sure what you are referring to (as I've been away from this thread for awhile. Maybe you could read over my previous comments to find your answer? Are you more open-minded for putting me in a box and assuming things about me? Seriously, help me out here...I'm not sure what part of what I said made you so upset.

  • I'm soooooooo happy to see all of the love for transgender youth over this issue!!!!! Thank you so very much!!!! You see the exact opposite in the Boy Scouts (which is so very sad). I only wish I had the chance to join when I was little. As a transgender woman, I'd be happy to go camping with ya!!!!

  • You're terrific.

  • @aThinkingChristian You're not listening. "God" has changed his mind. Multiple times. In his own holy Bible. You have no proof of your claims, and you are logically making no sense. There is a reason slavery was condoned in the Bible: it was created by man. You seem to be missing the point on the "flawless moral foundry." It doesn't exist. For a "thinking Christian," the easiest points seem to just slip by you.

  • @aThinkingChristian Have you stoned your children for not listening to you? Did your parents? What did the New Testament say about homosexuality? What did it say about loving everyone? You can't have it both ways.

  • @aThinkingChristian It's not a theory, it's a logical fallacy. Mr. Scotsman is sitting there, reading his newspaper, when he sees a story about a man who kills 11 men in a shooting. He says, "No Scotsman would do that!" The next morning, he reads the paper to see that a man from Scotland has committed the crime of shooting 11 men. "No TRUE Scotsman would do that," he says. Do you see the error here?

  • @IncredibleEdibleGamr The fallacy of the fallacy is that the Scotsman who prejudged was mortal and apt to error at any turn. The New Testament is the Words of a omniscient, omnipotent God. It's the PERFECT measuring stick to define "Christian," and it can and should be used as such. I don't know how many times I've had someone tell me "I'm a Christian and I do XYZ." To which I reply, "What does the Bible say about that?" They pass or fail based on that standard alone.

  • I love you and I love this video response!

  • u tell em girlfriend

  • This is awesome, but for some reason I can't get over how your vest looks like it is in a mirror.

  • This is perfectly expressed!

  • As a Girl Scout alumni myself, this is beautiful.

  • I would ride into battle carrying your banner. <3

  • You are a perfect person.

  • Thank you!

  • I love you :)

  • You're my new hero. G-Scout Avenger! You rock.

  • I literally got chills from watching this. So much respect to you and I want to be your friend. lol :)

  • @planetery Needless to say, I'm not promoting that children should receive reassignment surgery; it's risky for anyone, especially smaller bodies. However, I feel that children should have the opportunity to explore the possibilities. Forcing children to conform to a specific mindset and tell them that they're wrong to feel as they do does nothing but promote unhealthy mentalities in the next generation.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!

  • People can be SO nasty when you question their preconceived notions.

It's especially ironic when those people CLAIM to be "progressive" or "open-minded", but the sad truth is that most of the people commenting on this page are equally closed-minded regardless of which side they are on.

Both sides think they have the truth. Both sides are unwilling to listen to the other.

And NEITHER side can accept the existence of a THIRD path in dealing with these issues..

    You all deserve each other..

  • @planetery

    NO there is a difference.

On one hand, you have people who hate gays, transgenders, and others because of who they are. Because they don't like differences.

On the other hand you have people who hate bigots because of the choice they make and the pain they cause to others. YES. I AM close minded in the sense that i will NEVER accept injustice. I AM close minded to systems, laws, and people who spread hatred and not tolerance and acceptance.

  • @MsThunderpaws Yeah, i wasn't talking about that.

You;re very brave and question many things- but can you question your preassumption that certain human beings are somehow "born in the wrong body"? Can you accept that this is a psychospiritual issue that is wholly in the mind, and that "transgenderism" is a temporary state of being as the soul comes to an awareness of its own androgynous completeness within one body?

And do you believe i am a bigot for saying this?

    THOSE are my questions

  • @planetery Souls don't exist, sorry.

  • @planetery Finally, seeing as you love this "battle of the thesaurus," and I have class in 8 hours, I can't wait to see what other nonsense you choose to throw out here the next time I happen to check. I'll thoroughly enjoy combating your truly ignorant, and misinformed viewpoints some more. Have a fabulous day.

  • Aw, man. This girl kicks total and utter ass! <3

  • Thank you! The world needs more people like you! And I am so happy to find that the majority of the people I associate with are accepting and supportive like you. Hugs! <3

  • right on G-Scout....we had Girl Guides and Canada and you are right...acceptance and tolerance of others is a major part of being a GG

  • You ROCK!!!

  • this was fantastic. loved the ending. you are brilliant.

  • This was a wonderful video. To be honest, mine was not a knee-jerk reaction and I could see how some parents would be troubled by a trans-gendered kid being in their daughter's scout troupe. But then I thought about it and came around to what you so articulately said in her video.

I don't normally buy Girl Scout cookies but I'll be loading up on them this year. It's amazing what happens when you take the time to think about something.

  • AloisaMaria, you just gained another subscriber. =)

  • wow

  • You are awesome for standing up for the TG community!

  • I LOVE this response video. Congratulations AloisaMaria for doing an amazing video!

  • You are awsome. As a boy scout from the UK, I salute you!!

  • One of my absolute favorite videos - well spoken; you make lots of valid points, and you just seem like an all around cool person. If I ever have a daughter, I hope she gets into scouting and meets awesome, open-minded people like you

  • I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST.

  • I agree with littlewolfe44! You are awesome.

  • i kinda want to be your best friend.

  • peace out g scout so sick

  • Thank you! I love this response and support! Bisexual Girl Scout 14 years now, looks like it's cookie season, even with our college budgets!

  • i wanted to be a girl scout so bad when i was little but they wouldnt let me cuz i was born in the wrong body :/

  • @dragonknight8277 that is why you become a boy scout

  • This video brought tears to my eyes. We are all sisters. We need to stand together.

  • You are an amazing person! Good on you for standing up for the right thing. =)

  • Brilliant!

  • Couldn't have said any of it better myself. Love it.

  • YOU ARE THE MOST AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU!

  • As a trans man who was a girl scout as a kid, I appreciate seeing this response to the call for a boycott. Thank you for promoting the building of communities and not ignorance and hate.

  • I'm trans and this beautiful. I seriously almost cried towards the end. Mad respect to you and the other open minded scouts!

  • as a CD and at one time active in west of scotland Trans community.I am gladdened to hear the mostly overwhelming condemnation of this stupid girl.only bigots and religious nuts agree with her nonsensical view

  • This was really good to watch. Thank you. As a trans person, I was really touched when you called us sisters. I want more of you in the world. And hey, look who doesn't have to shut their comments off... You might be onto something with this whole not spreading transphobia thing.

  • Damn! You tell it, girl! :)

Seriously, that was amazing. You get some serious kudos. :)

  • YES. YES. YES.

  • Loved every second of your response video!!

  • I'm trans and this almost made me cry. In the best possible way. Thank you so much. God I wish there were more people like you.

  • You are just....awesome!

  • LOL...u rock!

  • Yes! You totally rocked this. I've been seeing the controversy for a while, and finally decided to look into it. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that you posted this, thank you. Not just for little girls facing hurdles, but on behalf of womankind everywhere. You're awesome!

  • this girl who made the video is so pretty and she seems a beautiful person inside too. I will buy as many cookies as possible.

  • In any case, transsexualism is a medical condition, not a choice. People can't just understand that this is a medical condition and the sooner you treat it, the better. The things that enraged me were the safety BS and when they were saying that a boy is too young to know what he wants

  • why is it that the girl scouts is only for girls? transgendered? sure. But why not allow boys in the girl scouts? -not doing so is so intolerant and hateful-it's not considerate and caring. what's wrong with boys who indentify as boys? why are they excluded? Girl scouts--Boys Scouts is wrong-it should be Scouts! just Scouts!........This sanctimonious/self righteous woman is not aware of her flaws in logic. sad. I once knew a man who was transspecied .He thought he was a chipmunk which was OK

  • I would like to thank everybody commenting on this page- you've finally shown me why conservatives hate liberals so bad. You claim to be SO open-minded, but you can't question your beliefs for even a second. You're like those crazy inbred Christians who just Know that their way is THE way, and anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy AND stupid.

You want to be a Girl Scout, little boy? Of course you can! You can do Anything!

You can do Anything! : /watch?v=UM73_-y41yE

  • @planetery In my case at least, it's not a matter of questioning my beliefs. It's just pointing out the holes in your baseless arguments. If you made good on actually showing me a study done be a reputable institution then I promise you I will question my beliefs for far more than a second. You keep ignoring what i'm saying to you and respond with profanities. But I figure that's the most you're capable of giving me.

  • @hollahalo415 Show me a credible study that says that people who identify as transgendered ARE really "trapped in the wrong body." You are asking for proof to disprove something that was never Proven in the first place (& like I said, a doctor on NPR was talking about it).

FYI- I left Wesleyan after a year because it became painfully obvious that the entire American medical establishment was corrupt on every level, promoting destructive ideas & methods of treatment and kotowing to Big Pharma.

  • @planetery show me credible stories that depression is a "real thing" cause the recent UK study says that anti-depressants dont work, and thus depression isnt real. same stupid logic by someone who is close minded, such as yourself. and she NEVER asked for proof for anything. and why dont you open the DSM4 to get your studies.. you moron

  • @planetery Since you asked, try mental - health - today . com / gender / dsm. htm, then try apa.org and search "transgender" under psychology topics. When you're done there, if you aren't satisfied, I'll give you more.

"Bigot" is a term to call someone close-minded who refuses to do their own research and undermine others due to the lack of education that choice inflicts on their character.

  • @hollahalo415 BTW- "Bigot" is an asinine remark trying to disparage another view from your own. All I'm saying is nobody is "trapped in the wrong body", that all people have an androgynous soul & thus resonate BOTH genders in one body, and that the BELIEF that one is "trapped in the wrong body" is due to gender roles in society.

Just because you do not comprehend the thoughts being expressed does not mean it is "bigotry", you ignorant toad.

You are an ideologue, & this exchange is pointless.

  • @planetery what are you actually arguing. she was supporting transgendered people.. get off your uneducated toad.

  • @planetery and....cue the silence....

  • What's it really got to do with you anyway? You seem to harbor a lot of anger and frustration, that's really not good for you. I wouldn't even think to bother wasting my or your time attempting to educate you. It is pointless. You think you know what's right and I couldn't care less. I am trans and I have no interest in what you think. I am not looking for your approval. I have nothing that I need to prove to you any more than you to have to me. All I ask of people like you is to leave me alone.

  • @ChristinaClowes moron she is responding to a video.

  • @mona7938 Haha, Well my message had an @planetery at the beginning of it when I posted it. I don't know what happened to that!? Please don't call people names. I am not a moron nor will I push off. Of course I was not posting in response to AloisaMaria! She is awesome!

  • @ChristinaClowes ok good.. i hate that planetery person..

  • @mona7938 Yes, well @planetery is clearly trans in one way, but in their case they appear to be almost complete in their transition from human to an asshole. I wouldn't bother responding to folks like that any longer, as it only makes them feel important. They have nothing of value to contribute yet they feel their opinion about something which they will never understand is somehow important. They frankly make me laugh.

  • @ChristinaClowes Funny how you have to deride people personally just because you do not like what they are saying.

It's even funnier since I'm talking about freeing people from incomplete thought structures and coming into an awareness of themselves as Complete humans..

Nothing makes people angrier than giving them responsibility over their own minds and existences.

Regardless, this is a PSYCHOLOGICAL issue, and for doctors to perform surgery over it (especially on minors) is MALPRACTICE.

  • @planetery No Dear, you talk down to people in a way that makes you appear like an asshole. I really couldn't give a hoot what you think you know, your thoughts and opinions are of no interest to me whatsoever. You came here to comment argumentatively on something that you truly have no comprehension of. You are not unique with your thoughts but I can tell you this for nothing, you have no clue about what it is to be transsexual. I have nothing more I'd like to say to you. Peace out G-Scout.

  • @ChristinaClowes Did you ever stop and think that maybe I talk like this because whenever I express my opinion politely, mindless ideologies call me a "hater" ANYWAY just for promoting increased self-consciousness and changing society's gender roles over the internalized external that is "transgender" identity? Of course not, because you have no meta-awareness.

And even IF I were simply an asshole with no point, you would be no better with your rude, dismissive worlds. Hypocritical bitch. :)

  • @ChristinaClowes (continued) And for you to say something like "you have no clue about what it is to be transsexual" is so arrogant, egocentric, and OFFENSIVE that I have no words for it. You are so cognitively dissonant that you actually think I am some random hater just because I had the same experience but came to a different conclusion! It's PATHETIC. And the fact that you are so repellent yet wholly unaware of it is WHY I talk down to thoughtless people like you in the first place!

  • @ChristinaClowes (continued, pt 2) AGAIN-

All I am talking about is personal responsibility, and the goal of self-directed personal consciousness evolution.

And you ideologues keep attacking me for DARING to say that this is all in people's minds and is as much a result of overly limited gender roles in society as much as anything else.

THAT is what is so offensive that people have called me every ugly name under the sun, and THAT is why I don't respect mindless dissenting comments.

  • @ChristinaClowes and she is supporting you.. so push off.

  • @mona7938 where did you come from? and what's your point? I can't even figure out what your motivation is, there's no common thread through all your comments besides insults and name calling.

And the burden isn't on me to supply articles. Planetary was making claims that I find hard to believe and I was simply asking him to provide credible research. If he made good on that request I'd be open to believing it. And if you want to call UC Berkeley a community school I guess that's fair.

  • @hollahalo415 if you wanna kill the hate you need to throw hard core research at them. what would be particularly relevant is the emergence of gender identity and when it solidifies.... mostly around 7 children can confidently say "im a boy or im a girl".

  • @planetery what are you talking about? im questioning your sanity as you continue to ramble on

  • @mona7938 You don't understand because I'm talking about the evolution of personal consciousness, but most people are too dumb to even know what that means, thus misinterpret the entire reason for my posts & call me "bigot" or some other ignorant bullshit that only proves they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Most people are just mindless TV drones, though, and don't even HAVE any higher thoughts, so of course the concept of personal evolution is a bit beyond their grasp at the moment...

  • @planetery flawless argument if you didnt try to discount popular scholarly journals.... face that makes you a complete and utter bigot, particularly when you language and words have a restricting and constricting quality about them.

  • Young girls need more role models like you.

  • You are awesome! Make more videos :)

  • Well said. And definitely appreciated by this Trans woman who didn't get to go to girlscouts.

  • @leslea001 It's okay, boyscouts was just as good :p

  • Tell 'em, girl. Girl Scouts Together, always!!

  • You are my HERO, g-scout! You exemplify the best of what Girl Scouts as an organization has to offer the community and the world. Here's to teaching tolerance and fairness! <3

  • Thank you AloisaMaria. YOU are a TRUE girl scout role model! <3 you! Thank you for your support of the transgender/transsexual community. :-)

  • LOVE U!!!!!!!!

  • <3 thank you, sweetie

  • :))) !YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! (((:

  • peace out, g-scout XD

  • AloisaMaria If you don't stand up for something, you can fall for anything. Thank you and GSUSA for standing up for the Transgender community. -Peace.

  • @kyleb2112 A girl can also rape a little boy. Doeant mean it is going to happen. That, and Girl Scouts are always supervised by leaders, a fact that has been highly ignored. GSUSA is adamant about supervision of the girls in camps and troops. Little dose of reality for you.

  • A "transgender girl" can still get your daughter pregnant--a little dose of reality people like AloisaMaria will never mention. In fact, after that happens they'll be even strident about their support of transgenders in GSUSA. Compared to that self-righteous glow they get from furthering their ideals, the girls mean nothing.

  • @kyleb2112 Also, we are discussing transgender girl scouts who have been admitted into troops and are seven years old. They haven't gone through puberty and sure as hell wouldn't be able to get anyone pregnant, not only based on the fact that their bodies wouldn't produce sperm at that age, but due to the fact that they are young girls who are in the Girl Scouts on the basis that they are gaining values and character, not on the basis to make babies in Girl Scout camp. Be smarter.

  • @kyleb2112

It's highly unlikely that someone who is presenting as a girl, who is possibly post-op and is very likely 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or ten is going to go get another girl pregnant. In fact, it sounds like you don't know shit of what you're talking about. Nice try though, it was kinda cute.

  • Bravo! - also very very cute -

  • Thank you so much for this video!!! I was also a girl scout, and both of my daughters are scouts. I could not imagine denying a transgender, or ANY girl who wanted to be a scout that opportunity. Peace out G-Scout!!

  • THANK-YOU!!!!!!!

  • NOT a hater!

  • oh hell yes, you go gurl

  • Thank you!! You're an amazing ally!

  • Over half of all children who identify as transgendered do not do so as adults.

That means that over half of the children society is proclaiming to be "transgendered" AREN'T.

This is why anyone who supports reassignment surgery for minors is supporting child abuse- they are forcing a PERMANENT physical change based on a TEMPORARY state of mind.

Kids want to be all kinds of things- cowboys, princesses, ballerinas, fire fighters- you don't permanently alter their physical being because of it

  • @planetery This is bogus research you are "quoting." BOGUS. Don't just make up facts or take them from non reputable non scientific "studies".

  • @hollahalo415 Uhh, NO it's NOT bogus. Google it yourself, moron.

  • @planetery Google research? Really? haha i rest my case...

  • @hollahalo415 Of course you rest- because you are too lazy to bother looking for truth.

whenever somebody tells me something I haven't heard before, I ALWAYS do a couple of searches on it just to see what I can find- that't how you discern truth, after all- you LOOK for it.

You are too lazy to even do a google search- what does that say about you?

Anyway, NPR did a story on that very subject a couple of years ago- that's how I first heard of it.. Not all trans kids are really trans- period.

  • @planetery and what i would question is who does this study label as "trans?" Their definition may be very loose. Researchers may be allowing many children who experts within the LGBT community might never consider to be trans to be labeled as trans in this study. And my point is that good research isn't on google and as I said, all studies should be questioned, i.e. who did the research, who funded it, how many subjects were in it? controlled study?

  • @planetery and btw I think name calling is the only moronic thing going on here. But maybe that's just my closed minded liberal opinion.

  • @hollahalo415 I didn't call you names. You said you're not going to even LOOK for the truth of the subject in question- THAT IS LAZY (and closed-minded, if you want to get into that). You're just mad because somebody told you you were wrong and told you how to prove it for yourself. You're acting like a child..

  • @planetery Didn't call me names? I'm sorry were you using "moron" in an endearing connotation that I'm not aware of? If you say I'm acting like a child then all i have to say to that is you started it!!

And finally, what am I supposed to google? Transphobic research? Planetary's transgender research? And you are dead wrong on me being lazy and not wanting to question my beliefs. I question ALL studies. And oh wait...you don't seem to be questioning this study at all.

  • @planetery so this is where the discussion ends? it's ok not at all surprised.

  • @planetery You need to look up the definition of "clinical." You have stated no clinical facts. And I don't believe for one second that you would have fit into anyone's clinical definition of transgendered.

And once again, you say I'm acting like a child and yet you've called me a moron and a dumb bitch. Take a minute and think about your behavior and after that look at how my responses have been incredibly far more respectful. Even though you've shown me none.

  • @planetary oh and then when you're done with all that...think about what it means to act like a child.

  • @planetery Your facts are really skewed, so I'm jumping in here. Dunno where your statistics come from, but more trans* people don't even self-identify as transgender until they are well past puberty and into adulthood. As for those who DO identify as trans* at an early age, there are prohibitions over when and how they can transition. Beginning hormone therapy before a trans* person goes through puberty helps them prevent the difficulties of beginning it afterwards.

  • @barefootwits You obviously haven't been keeping up. They're starting reassignments on prepubescent kids now, and if you support that, you're fucked up in so many ways it's unreal.

I'm really sorry you can't deal with FACTS, but they exist regardless of whether you choose to recognize them or not.

Many people who identify themselves as trans at one point in their life do not do so later on. Surgery robs them of the possibility of going full-circle with it. When it's a kid, that's ABUSE.

  • @planetery You obviously are continuing to spew unreal facts that you haven't actually found anywhere, and thus can't give us sources to. How surprising. There are laws and SET GUIDELINES that surgeons and therapists helping transgender people have to oblige to. It's called the Harry Benjamin Standards and is easily accessible, pertaining that you actually look for it. (But you won't, of course.)

  • @planetery I'm sorry that you can't deal with facts, but they exist regardless of whether you choose to recognize them or not. (Your words, yeah? How about you actually read them.)

VERY few transgender people's gender identities change in their lives. The numbers are actually so small that they are pretty insignificant in the Trans* community and there have been no cases of someone fully transitioning and then re-transitioning...

  • @planetery Again, there are guidelines that have to be followed and the only transitioning that a transgender person can begin at a relatively "young" age is hormone therapy, because it's more beneficial for them to start it before they have gone through puberty. When you are aware of a person's gender identity and deny them the process of transition, even though transitioning later could be more difficult for them, THAT IS ABUSE.

  • @planetery barefootwits has actually CITED SOURCES. You haven't done that once, besides saying you maybe kinda heard something on an NPR report this one time possibly a few years ago.

And I'm sorry but I definitely am not just going to take your words for it. I'll call your bluff. Since I am in graduate school and conduct research at UC Berkeley, I have access to medical journals and peer reviewed journals. You can give me even the smallest hint on how to research these studies.

  • @planetery You should do some research as to what those major medical associations (The American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Psychological Association, to start) say about being transgender. It is classified as a gender identity disorder that can only be helped through transition, because our country doesn't practice brain surgeries to alter people's behaviours. Those surgeries are called lobotomies and they are highly immoral.

  • @planetery You're basically implying that trans* people who recognize their gender identities at an early age should have to experience the difficulties that beginning hormones after puberty can cause just because you don't believe that transgender people should receive care that puts an end to their dysphoria. We have these procedures available in medical fields for good reasons, and this is one of them.
