Tom Morello is arguably the best guitarist in the world and even played with "The Boss" Bruce in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. From 1993-2000 (when they broke up) they were undoubtedly the best band out there. If you dont like their music so be it but just realize Rage started out in a slum in LA. Look where they are now

in fairness to Joe, he can sing. However, he lacks charisma to people of all ages.... unlike Olly, he has got the charms to tickle people from all walks of life. Olly is a good singer and a good performer. OLLY IS A TOTAL PERFORMER.

Didn't you see the YouGov poll in The Sun projecting a landslide victory for Joe? He was the finalist who appealed to ALL ages, Olly was most popular among under 35s.
The competition was only really for second place once Joe broke clear of the field following his stunning performance of DLTSGDOM in week 7.
Olly could have won but he needed nothing short of a series of spectacular performances, in addition to Joe's golden voice failing him to win - and even then it would have been close.

Its funny that you claim Rage aren't "music", when your backing up a guy who just sings. He isnt even that good. He has no 'X-Factor', and to claim he IS music over Rage is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Can i just say that Joe Mcelderry is probably one of the best singers to have won The X Factor after Leona and Alexandra, and I think he;s going to do very well. Also, Rage Against the machine didn't get to no.1 b'cos of "talent" it was a protest that X Factor didn't get to no.1, it wasn't against Joe personally! Rage were chosen randomly, no one is going to buy their single, they did it to get to Simon Cowell, they won't be spoken of until next Christmas...
