i know its been a while for the whole v6 vr6 debate just a quik question. a vr6 has one cylinder head and a v6 has 2, and you can clearly see all 6 intake runners going to the same side, which would lead me to assume there is only one head which if it was v6, it would be missing a head, so therefore it must be a very narrow v6, hmmmm.... im gonna say thats still a vr6 lol dumbasses

correct, VR6 means V-Reihenmotor 6. Basically V In-line. It was created by VW to put big CC engines transversely mounted into smaller cars that usually took the 4cyl. wikipedia VR6 its very informative

OK. Let's clear up the V6 versus VR6 debate here. All VW and Audi 6-cylinder models that have the engine mounted transversely (side-to-side) use the narrow-angle V6 better known as the VR6. This includes ALL Golf, GTI, R32, Jetta and Bora models as well as the Audi TT. VW simply changed the badging at some point during production of the MK4s. In Europe, they also sold 2.3L 5-cyl versions of some models they marketed as "V5". The V5 was basically a VR6 with a cylinder chopped off. Hope this helps

mk5 r32 is still a vr6 the only difference in the way all these cars sound is the congiguration of resonators,(or lack thereof) and cat-deletes, and straight pipes, its all ehaust!!! but the cars all have the same 3.2 liter 24 valve vr6 engines
