you could learn to become a steamfitter who would focus on the installation of boilers, start up, and the piping involved with it.
You could learn to become a boilermaker which may focus on the construction of boilers and other pressure vessels often much much larger too.
You could also go to school to become a power engineer which would be the type of person who might run this boiler or be in charge of it's daily operation in a plant. Those would be the three main people who work on boilers.
because all the colleges I've looked around only focus on residential stuff. I hava an associates in Hvac but when it comes to boilersm like this>>>> i get really lost.
@rolando7120 I go to SUNY Maritime. We have two D-type boilers on our ship, and we learn/ work everything in the engine including the boilers. Maritime schools are the only place I know you can really learn boilers.
can someone explain to me the step by step process? I'm kinda lost..

@rolando7120 Bismarck State College in Bismarck, ND, has a power plant program that's nationally recognized for its operator training. Consider it.
