  • What a touching song, remarkable words.

  • A lovely thought. After losing my parents last year - I can relate to this. It's so important to have meaningful music. Your uncle must be very brave so be able to have got through it. x

  • Bravo! Ron Sexsmith is an amazing performer, and I love his work. Kudos for this video!

    Love ya lyrics Ron

  • I saw him in Auckland, New Zealand maybe 4 years ago - with Leonard Cohen and Gillian Welch without doubt onw of the best shows I've seen! This is a great song, and he keeps them coming.

  • @ThePad82

    Very Jealous! to amazing musicians!

  • Ron's a soulful singer with talent, longevity and not a hint of pretention - for this we can all be truly grateful - go Ron!

  • Babies speak a language we grown ups can never understand. They see things we used to see. Oh the "blood of the Lamb". All of us will receive a new name and a new Home in the Kingdom of Heaven. The poet William Blake has a question for Mr Ron Sexsmith....... "did He who made the Lamb make Thee? from "the tyger"

  • Beautiful song. Ron is a wonderful artist.

  • Yesterday we barried our grandad, My oncle sung this song. Goosebumps all over my body!

  • The only good thing to come out of Canada as well as Joni , Leonard Cohen Neil Young , need I go on,,,

  • dont forget leslie feist

  • Ron Sexy! I've always loved this song, Ron is an immensely talented guy, genius. Yet his music is not as popular as what it should be.

  • just saw him last night in Chicago, opening for Nick Lowe. Didn't know much about him but now I'm a fan

  • Further on "the only gtood thing to come out of Canada"- The Band, Rush, The Guess Who....meat head

  • Actually the lead singer of Rush is poster boy for a new show on satellite radio called " The Soft Cock Cafe"

  • Cute.

  • Great Song! Got to him through loving Leonard Cohen. Wish he knew how to connect with Kimmie Rhodes out of Austin, Texas USA.

  • One of the best singer songwriters to come out of Canada. I own all of his cd's...

  • Great video Ron is the only good thing to come out of Canada

  • What about Leslie Fiest, Owen Pallett, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Wolf Parade, etc...You dick

  • What about the Weakerthans or Neil Young... You dick!

  • Noone agrees with you here I don't think

    he's inspirational

    and fantastic

but there's many great Canadian Artists

    and "things"

  • what country do you come from bud? Let me guess...

  • That's a tad myopic even for a right winger. Let's see: Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, Leonard Cohen, Joanie

Mitchell,Cowboy Junkies, K D Lang. I could go on and on. If it were'nt for the winters I'd move there
