  • I was at that game... it was the greatest day of my life.

  • I wish someone could find and upload Ron singing(?) "I like it, I love it, I can't get enough of it" He did this during a game years ago.

  • made me tear up when i heard ron santo scream. i love you ron, i really miss hearing him on the radio.

  • This is great. I really miss hearing Pat & Ron together on the radio. I remember watching this game with my dad & brother and jumping up & down when the game was over. Sooo exciting! It's hard to believe that this happened almost 4 years ago.

  • i was the first to dislike, just because im that kind of hater

  • @shrteve yeah thanks for admitting your a pussy bitch

  • @TheSportsfreak23 <333333333333333333333333333333333333333

  • why was the game in wisconsin is the cubs were playing Houston?

  • @TheyCallMeMItchell There was a hurricane in Houston, and Milwaukee was the closest stadium available.

  • i was going to go to this game with my friend but i was too tired so tht SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! haha lol

  • i bet they let bonds in before they vote santo in. the HOF is a fucking joke.

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME OUT... HOW DOES A TEAM GET A RUN IF THE OPPOSING TEAM PITCHER THROWS A NO HITTER??? DID HE WALK A BUNCH OF PPL??? CLEARLY I DONT WATCH MUCH BASEBALL SO HELP ME OUt

  • @Ruest420 walks or errors. there are some ways to get a no hitter and give up an UNEARNED run.

  • @bcmbattle understood butttttttttttttttt if a batter hits a ball.... hands down its the pitchers fault, i understand it should be an easy play and what not... but a "no hitter" should be when the other team "does not hit the ball" pretty simple... its like saying peyton manning having a 100% completetion rating in a game just because he hit the receiver in the hands everytime but he failed to catch it... if a team hits the ball, im sorry it should not be a no hitter.

  • @Ruest420 if you think a no hitter is when nobody can hit the ball in fair territory than your wrong. if that were the case than nobody would ever throw a no hitter. its not a pitchers fault if they hit the ball. a lot of pitchers gameplan that way and pitch to contact on purpose. now if they hit it where theres no defenders than yea, its the pitchers fault.

  • @Ruest420 obviously comparing two completely different sports is gonna make sense. If you really wanna compare baseball to football than I see it like this. A no hitter equals a perfect quarterback rating (i.e. you dont actually have to be perfect to accomplish both). A pitcher throwing a perfect game would be a Quarterback with a 100% completion percentage then. Which is why its so rare...its not easy because it relies on the whole team than just the pitcher.

  • @olheiser01 nice reply.... well put.

  • @Ruest420 If someone reaches on error or gets walked. Then he could steal. then someone could bunt him over. and then a sacrifice fly, another bunt, or a wild pitch. so theres a number of possibilities.

  • Lilly almost threw one the next day

  • Of course, the Astros minds were probably occupied, seeing as how their homes in Houston were in the path of a hurricane that night.

Bud Selig moving the game to Milwaukee, a little stroll from Chicago, was a horrible idea.

  • miss ron

  • Oh, Ron! We miss him!

  • Hey someone had to get a no hitter at that park, might as well be a Cub!

  • still get chills :D

  • you gotta love 'em.

  • i was gonna go, but my dad decided not to cuz my sister didnt want me and my bro and dasd to go. i said ill be pissed if he pitched a no hitter, and of course he did.

  • It gives me goose bumbs

  • one of the greatest nights i have ever watched as a cubs fan i never forget this day i was so happy for big z r.i.p. ron :'(

  • I WAS THERE! will never forget this night :)

  • This is the game that really made me think 08 was our year. Thanks Z, douchebag.

  • it would of been great to hear Ron call a last out for a world series win. R.I.P

  • Miss you Ron.

  • Very Cool

    Kelly

  • I still remember this game. Cubs and Astros in Milwaukee. What a strange but great game. RIP Ron, you'll be missed by all of us Cubs fans!

  • The BEST THING about that day,is that they broke into the White Sox game, and showed this, instead of their own game LOL

  • CHECK OUT MY RON SANTO TRIBUTE

  • First Time Since 1972 that the Cubs ever pitched a no-hitter(Milt Pappas vs. the San Diego Padres on September 2nd of that year was the last Cubs pitcher to do so)

  • Best Game I have ever heard those 2 call! Now we are left with just Pat Houghes...Love ya Ron RIP Buddy

  • I was at this. Not kidding. Everyone wuz chanting z in th part they didn't tape. Mark de-ro saved th no hitter.

  • RIP SANTO YOUR VOICE WILL BE MISSED ON CUBS RADIO

  • I could listen to this over and over again, and not just because of the "el no-no". Just to hear Patrick call it, but even more, to hear Ronnie with the "OOOOH YES!!!". We will miss you forever Ron! Part of my childhood was lost when you passed on, but my childhood memories of you wearing number #10, ad giving us the calls like you did, will live on forever with me.

  • fuck the hall of fame voters

  • @nkslnkvl really....big z? come on. mans career was done 3 years ago

  • R.I.P. Ron, we love you!

  • Legends Never Die

  • rip ron wrigley lost a hero

  • It was due to a Hurricane in the Houston area.

  • Actually, I thought it was because of a hurricane about to hit Houston - or something like that.

  • Why were the Cubs playing the Astros at Miller Park?

  • @brianswine something with rain at wrigley when it was a make-up game

  • @camalcigs96 it was actully cause of hurricane ike i remember cause i went to this

  • @theoochable oh I forgot the cubs were the vistors in this game

  • @camalcigs96 well it kinda felt like a home game since there was like 20000 cub fans and they were 90 miles away from chicago

  • @theoochable oh ya there are more cub fans then brewers fans when they play them in Milwaukee. I always go to Miller Park or Wrigley North to watch the cubs sweep the brew crew every year

  • @brianswine yes

  • you were great ron, you were great. thanks for the memories. Rest In Peace.

  • I'm going to miss Mr. Santo.

  • Goodbye Ron. U will be missed. You will forever be This Old Cub!

  • Moments like his won't be the same without Ronnie ♥

  • RIP i cant believe we wont hear you call the game anymore...

  • RIP Ron, wont be the same without you

  • This Cardinals fan extends condolences to our rival Cubbie fans and the Santo family. There will never be another like him in the booth. Nobody loved a team more than Ronny loved the Cubs.

  • @SoonerBro I would expect no less from a Cardinals fan. Just class. Thanks!

  • @SoonerBro Ummmmm Ummmmmm Ummmm Ummmm your fucking crazy Ron Ummm sucked.

  • @SoonerBro Thank you Cardinals fan. You guys have a first rate organization and a great knowledge of the game. I have enjoyed our rivalry for many years.

    Cubs Fan

  • RIP Ron!

  • RIP ronnie ):

  • Nice job and fitting tribute to Ron Santo as a broadcaster...

  • That was a great moment - no doubt his career highlight. Too bad he sucks now.

  • i personlay like to watch it on tv with lenn and bob

  • Ron rocks!

  • They shouldn't have allowed fans to that game because it was suppost to be in houston.

  • this should not count because they were not in Chicago so HA!

  • @lookadrunk it was supposed to be in chicago assclown

  • no it wasnt..fucking fag.

it was suppose to be in houston

  • @FranchiseRockets i meant to say wasnt cuz lookadrunk said it didnt count cuz it wasnt in chicago so i meant to say it wasnt supposed to be in chicago

  • @FranchiseRockets do you 'tards have short memories.a hurricane battered houston,so mlb decided to have them play at a neutral site, which was miller park.sheesh, lay of the glue, guys.

  • @lookadrunk well it did so shut the fuck up it doesnt matter where its at if the other tem doesnt get a hit thats amazing

  • @DonPBeast16 learn how to spell..you must be a cubs fan because you cant spell

  • @lookadrunk cubs never threw a world series, ass.all the words spelled right?

  • @lookadrunk it's an official major league game,so it does count.you must be a sux fan because you're an ignorant cocksucker.

  • @lookadrunk every major league game counts dipshit during that time your were living in your moms basement a hurricane hit houston

  • @f22cool tell me where is your fat ass pitcher now? Hes a nothing now

  • @lookadrunk im not a cubs fan asswipe dont talk shit when you dont know shit "MY" PITCHER yeah right my pitcher is josh johnson asswipe

  • @f22cool lol sure you are..why u sticking up for him then..i kw i would be embarrassed to call myself a cubs fan..i mean they are the loveable losers lol..Go Braves baby! We about to take back whats ours from Philly!

  • @lookadrunk look on my channel you asswipe i hate the cubs i love steve bartman and the marlins and the rangers RANGERS 2010 WORLD CHAMPIONS FUCK THE BRAVES CHIPPERS LAST YEAR AND BOBBYS LAST YEAR

  • @f22cool whos in 1st place in the east son?

  • it's all bout the cubs fk them sox they choke on dick

  • Zambrano pitches a no hitter and all you can say is Cubs suck...you got a video of you pitchin a no hitter?

  • Hah, well played sir!

  • WUZ AT THE GAME IS WUZ AWSUM! CRAZY!! EVERYONE CHANTIN "Z, Z, Z, Z,!!!! it wuz freakin awsum!!!! best baseball moment of my life EVER!!!! D-RO (Mark DeRosa) saved a hit.

  • Ask me.. Im there :) Im a Cubby but also a BASEBALL FAN..

  • The Cell can hold about 41,000 .. just under Wrigley Field. But if you wanna talk Sox shit I can still whoop your ass on that. Or even try me with the Cubbies. You worthless piece. CUBBIES!!!

  • wow you just had to post this right when buerhle gets his perfect game. were you waiting for a year? example of why nobody likes whitesox fans.

    fag

  • no i wasnt waiting for a year. it just happened and i posted it cuz last year it wasnt even worth it to mob zambrano because the astros were as tallented as a little leage team. and ur wrong, nobody likes cubs fans cuz u fuckers r sore losers and blame a curse for your losses.

  • We are sore losers? We have stuck with the Cubs over 101 years of losing. I would say thats the most dedicated fans their are. Its easy to like a team when they win the world series. And don't bring the curse crap up again, the only time I hear about the curse is idiots like you who need a reason to hate the Cubs. I am sure if mark got his perfect game against the Nationals you would still be bragging about it.

  • Yep your done, good talking with you.

  • ok bye, have a nice day :)

  • lets face it, sox fans will always be fair weather fans. there were 28,000 at the buehrle perfect game ( US NEVER CELL OUT FIELD holds about 40-45 thousand???). better worry about the tigers dipshit. perfect game hangover= a sweep by the tigers.

  • what the fuck do u mean us never cell out field?

we sold out 2 of the 3 previous games against the rays. and it not like we will sell out every fuckng game we have lives unlike you inbred faggot bitches, im not gonna waste my time on a guy who has his username as habby does your grandma call u that u fuckin 5 year old

  • ya because there were more rays fans than white sox fans. the white sox have the 6th worst attendance decline since last year. fair weather fans. fuckin losers. selling out every game means that the fans appreciate your team. dasoulslasher? thats a ghetto ass name a sox fan would have. maybe thats why people dont go to games, they dont want to get stabbed or shot in that ghetto piece of trash. FIRST PLACE CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ill believe you if u prove of the 6th place thing. and obviously u r either blind or u have to lie to make "decent" comebacks if u want tto u can look at the buerhle videos and see that there were more white sox fans. and no one will get shot in our stadium because we have decent security unlike all you "wrigley ville brothers" id rather have dasoulslasher than talk shit with the name habby

  • And considering Lester first game since returning from fighting Cancer was a no hitter, that's amazing. soo i don't pal..

  • Stfu, the rays aren't all that, look where they are at, plsu faggot the red sox have had a lot of no nos against good teams so stfu before you try to compare shit.

  • compared to the teams i listed, yes the rays are all that and they have the yankees and the redsox in their division, every year the yankkes red sox or rays will suck for a period of time. its called a slump =) and im not hating on lester im just sayin he got his against the royals wich is not a good team.

  • HURRICANE Z!

  • yessir. Go Tigers!

  • Gotta love Ron Santo

  • @FenderFabulous Gotta love Ron Santo if you love horrible radio commentators. Seriously, he is by far the worst. You cannot tell what the hell is going on when he talks.

  • haha i love ron

  • Pat; SWING AND A MISS

    Ron; OOHH YES!!!!!

best radio anouncers of all time

  • @alexcub25 Pat is good, but Ron is god awful.

  • @alexcub25 Not even close!!!!!

  • Ohh yea i remember Houston had to play there because of the bad storm?

  • hurricane ike

  • im betting the astro players had more important things on their mind than playing a damn baseball game, especially when ones own life could be in jeopardy, they are forced to keep playing. Bullshit,

Cheap no hitter and one that i cant recognize

  • I would have to agree with you, but if I was getting played millions of dollars to swing a bat and catch a ball, I would be sure to actually perform.

  • kewl

  • watching this video made me love the cubs even more. ron santo is frikin awesome. that guy better be around for a lot longer

  • the scoreboard says reds vs. brewers?

  • So ready for the season to start tomorrow.

  • i was at that game it was sweet, we bought the tickets the day of the game... it was sweet!

  • Milt Pappas would have been proud of Carlos Zambrano! Pappas threw one for the Cubs against San Diego in 1972! Jack Brickhouse called that game!

  • I saw it too, and prayed from the seventh that big Z would get his well deserved no hitter. Amen

  • hhahaha i saw this like 6 times once live the other 5 on Best Damn, so funny Ron's reactions to evrything the cubs do.

  • yeah Ron is goddamn funny

aaaaaah! yeahhhhh! OH NO OH NO!

  • I Was THEre!

  • haha yeah i remember that game also peaceonearth....i

  • I was there

    i remember it

    it was freaking awesome

  • His second no hitter. That game years ago in Arizona was a ridiculous call at first base. He retired 5 straight after. Should have been one. Now let's get some post season wins!

  • this was the first no hitter in history that was followed up by a 1 hitter

  • That was a night to remember always.

  • And who could be more passionate about it than Big-Z?

  • Ronny Santo, that is who!!!!

  • i swear they muted Ronny cause you all know he just started yellin "F$*% Yeah, CUBBIES, F*$&, F*$& Yeah, GO CUBBIES!!"

  • i was there baby!!!!!

    section 426 row 16 seat 12

  • OOHHH!!!! OH mY gOD OH!!!!! love u Santo!!! thanks a ton for ur autograph on my baseball!

  • ted lilly almost made it back to back no hitters, but then they got a single in the 7th and that was the only hit

  • Hopefully the first no hitter of many.

  • Go Big Z!!! GO BIG Z!!!!!

  • Great!!!
