guys i just downloaded the new fear 2 reborn demo what is this is it a new fear game or is it a download add on for this game ? i love this fear 2 reborn the wepons and way it feels shooting is it the same in fear 2 the game if i go buy the game or is it not a download extended campaign is it a whole new game ?

Fear 2 kinda took a note from half life. Same engine just improved graphically, good story and continuation in its name. If you liked the first one then you will like teh second. Some people want a major leap but its not. Good improvement and continuation. a must have for those who enjoyed fear 1.

Awesome review dude. You know about games. I played FEAR 1 including the first expansion pack and yeah the story line wasn't very good. I've played a demo of FEAR 2 on the PS3 but i want to get it for PC. The graphics are a big improvement. Also the engine they use is much faster and has lesser bugs. The PS3 demo was fuc&&&& awesome. I'm saving to buy this game

I'd wait for the first patch at the VERY least. I, um, *borrowed* a copy of 2 for the pc (while i was waiting for amazon to PROCESS my order... it hasn't even shipped yet!) and it is bugtastic. Level ending glitches.

If you did not like Fear 1 you probably wont like Fear 2 because they are extremely similar in the gameplay.

I LOVE the first Fear and think its one of the best fps games ever so im really looking forward to Fear 2.

my complaints with Fear 1 were:

1 - You're always alone (insert convenient excuse to be isolated)

2 - Every level was the same

3 - Sole method of explaining the plot is answering machines (WTF?)

4 - Fire fights got repetitive and predictable

5 - Alma's scares were done to death and soon became predictable.

The game did have good AI, interesting fire fights, and ace graphics for its day though. Have they amended these issues?

1.-yes and no your with a team but then you run off by yourself but that is suppose to increase your fear(no pun intended)

2.-NO its really well done they spend awhile in a hospital but then break loose and the environment changes alot!

3.-the plot is easier to understand and now you have you little "hints" and "secrets" from Intel which you read(no more answering machines :D

4.-they are repetitive but well done something you need to experience

5.-haha no it gets fucking freaky just need to see

This is definitly a step down, the story absoulutly sucks, writngs terrible, the gore is like fucking jelly, I liked the first one way better, and the intel was better too. Fear 1 was at least 5 times better, this is dumbed down for COD4 idiots.

To be honest. I enjoyed F.E.A.R 2 in terms of Shooting and its graphics but thats all it really had. I was really disappointed with this game in its entirety. I did not enjoy the storyline because I felt I was rushed through it . The game was criminally short (7 1/2 short) I did not find this game scary to the slightest. Lastly the ending was another open-ending leaving for another expansion pack. So this game was a decent FPS but didnt do well everywhere else.

Also this trend about main characters who don't speak and don't care about anything has to stop. It worked in Half-Life, but that doesn't mean that you have to that in every game. I think it distances you from the story when your character doesn't react in anything, you feel like floating camera with a gun strapped on it.

But yea, I managed to enjoy the game pretty well. Good and fun game.

seems like people who didnt like or didnt play the original are enjoying project origin whereas fans and vets of fear 1 have been dissappointed. just curious why you only show footage of the first three levels in your review though, and you would be the first to say multiplayer was good. i posted a video review last night, but its a drastically different opinion.

*just one tip for future videos, the conclusion summary at the end was a little hard to read with youtube quality. it was a little better in hq (add &fmt=18 to end of link) but id say choose something a little less bubbly xD

good review, but I don't think people care about storyline no more, left 4 dead had no story and it was a HIT, most people care more about graphics, gameplay and weapons. I heard that FEAR multiplayer was better than FEAR 2's one.
