@DJGE619724mex Are you surprised? It looks like a God of War ripoff, and it's a reboot, and it's a 3D castlevania game. Not to say that 3D castlevania games are inherently bad, but they seem to always lose out to their 2D counterparts.

The video game itself is very well done, but it doesn't give that castlevania feeling. It's like an entirely different game and story. It's good, but it's just not castlevania. Nonetheless, I bought the game and actually enjoyed playing it. To each his own opinion.

@MD2x Yeah I love it. I think it is more divers than any of the other percussive banks out there. (I love the glithc drums etc.) Also the small percussion can be used in a wide variety of ways, when you are a little bit creative with effects...

Man I don't know why people didn't like the new Castlevania game. It was epic on so many levels and is a masterpiece in my opinion. I thought the game blew God of War away.. i'm more into gothic architecture and morbid dreary stuff like this than Greek mythology though so maybe im a little biased. I don't care. When i first saw this i thought, "Aw, Its probaly just going to be another not-so-special remix!" but at 0:34 i spit out all the Pepsi i had in my mouth and my face brightened.

At 0:54 i littalarly jumped out of my chair and started dancing like a reatard given crack to the beat of the song.

When the song ended, i replayed it and did the same thing.

Sure this Castlevania has some similarities in gameplay with God of War... But many of the concepts were already there before GoW was created, the cross grapling thing and even with the Super Nintendo and N64 versions. It is an awesome game, that enjoyed a lot more than GoW 3 for PS3. Sure, GoW has the great graphics, it starts with a great Poseidon battle... But I can relate a lot more to Gabriel's story than Kratos, who becomes this big maniac jerk who kills anyone for no good reason.

SOTN is a great game but the true Castlevania games that define the series are 1, 3, 4, and Rondo of Blood. Castlevania SOTN is too overrated and IMO took away a lot of what made Castlevania great. Castlevania Lords of Shadow borrows a lot from these classic games and at times even from Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest. From what I heard they were also the influences that allowed for the creators to make Lords of Shadow.

Put a Belmont and Kratos in a Soul Caliber game together and I'll own Kratos' Greek ass any day. lol On a more serious note, Kratos is half God/Full God at some point so comparing him and a Belmont it moot. And Castlevania is not a God Of War rip off really, I mean Lament Of Innocence had Huge monsters and this style game play before GOW came out. Plus this type of Castle game was first seen by me for the N64. Kratos is too powerful making him not as fun to play with as a Belmont just my thought

He just means the bald head is'nt very creative (nor the mean disposition). I much prefer Heavenly Sword. There is not as much icing but definitely more substance, and the fighting is realy intricate. I am kinda looking foreward to Castlevania however, but I sampled the demo and one poor quality that hasn't changed is the repetition of dying and trying again over & over till by chance you finally squeeze by. It just destroys the fluidity of gaming & too much time is spent in loading, shame.

I was able to buy the soundtrack along with the collectors edition of the game and it is EPIC, melancholy and beautiful. I have never had the patience to listen to Orchestral music but I seem to be getting into it now. I play bass for a couple OC bands and this does inspire me in a different way. I am also listining to Ys SEVEN and Assassins Creed. Good stuff!
