this is based of the shitty arcade version not the awesome SNES ports with the "new" bosses like Slash & Rat King and the "new" Technodrome stage. This might appeal to you guys but still isnt even the same game I grew up with. Besides the "new" bosses like Mudmonster replacing the Slash battle just pissed me off instead me being excited.
This was awful - I downloaded the demo at deleted it 5 mins later! I then switched my SNES on and played the original, its still great after 20 odd years!! The new 3D sucked!!

Turtles in Time is awesome, but not this version. The fun of the gameplay is that you only have limited moves (basic combo, jump kick, special, and throws) so you have to really pay attention to your stance in relation to enemies to succeed. I don't care what anyone says, there is a definite difference between a noob and an experienced player with turtles in time.

It wasn't that good when it was new either; when I rented it when I was a KID, with my lawn mower money, I got bored with it. The only way it was fun on MAME, was when I played as all 4 turtles at once. On MAME, you can activate all 4 "controllers," and play as all 4 turtles.
Too bad I don't have a 360 ^^; Man this game looks fun. ^^ It also looks like a wonderful game to play with friends too. Just because a game is maybe re-made or not as filled to the brim with graphics, doesn't make it a bad game. It's all in a person's respectives really. Turtles in time was epic in 1991, but I think I paid $10 for it in 1992 and played it til the cartridge fried, :(. But given the choice between Re-shelled and the original, I'd take the original any day. What's really funny is IGN trying to compare this remake that is meant to be nothing more than nostalgic(sp?) and to titles costing $70 game-play-wise if you put TIT against the other $10 games the gameplay is comparable. TIT Reshelled would suck hard if they turned it into Ninja Turtles Gaidan.
plus if you notice in the original TMNT TIT slash was the boss at the end of the dinosaur level and they also took out level 4 the technodrome along with tokka and rahza

Said reviewer makes a comment along the lines of "games have come a long way and this does not cut it anymore." Just because it is simple. Well Smash Bros is very simple, Guitar Hero is simple (Simon Says put to music), etc. I was pointing out that modern games are not inherently better than old ones. This review is INANE. and its WRITE not Right.
I loved this game as a young 4 year old sitting with my SNES. Can't wait to play this again.

I've baught this game 75% because of the memories it gives me from when I had a Super Nintendo :), The fact you say somthing about the graphics, why would you wanna have the old graphics when you're playing on either the PS3 or an Xbox360??
then again I bet you'd critisize if they left the old retro graphics. I'd rate this game a 9.0 but I do think they could have maybe added some extra stuff too it. I mean you do have alot of memorie capacity, right?

this is based of the shitty arcade version not the awesome SNES ports with the "new" bosses like Slash & Rat King and the "new" Technodrome stage. This might appeal to you guys but still isnt even the same game I grew up with. Besides the "new" bosses like Mudmonster replacing the Slash battle just pissed me off instead me being excited.

This was awful - I downloaded the demo at deleted it 5 mins later! I then switched my SNES on and played the original, its still great after 20 odd years!! The new 3D sucked!!

dont agree with the review...
The game is fun... But reviewer expected a totally remade / upgraded version of the game with the original Arcade thrown in.
The "I wanna see new stuff in it or I rather play my old SNES / ARCADE version" attitude screws it up.
would have been better if they used the SNES version rather than the arcade and added 4 player support since most people played SNES...but its still a nice game.

I played this game(The old version) on my PS2 a lot.... It is pretty fun... But a price of 10 dollars just seems expensive. Online sounds really awesome tough and the graphics are really cool. And IGN why would you need the old retro graphics as an option?!

Yeah 10 bucks is kinda expensive for such a small game i gotta agree with that, BUT the game is still good,challenging and also fun to play Off or Online.Hell i even made my Own TMNT Online Team with some friends, we play it on every dificulty and it doest get boring like the IGN Reviewers say.

But its still fun and challenging,i bought and let me tell you guys that this game is a must buy,even if you arent an hardocore gamer or and old timer,its always fun to play online with your buddies or family.

Turtles in Time is awesome, but not this version. The fun of the gameplay is that you only have limited moves (basic combo, jump kick, special, and throws) so you have to really pay attention to your stance in relation to enemies to succeed. I don't care what anyone says, there is a definite difference between a noob and an experienced player with turtles in time.

It wasn't that good when it was new either; when I rented it when I was a KID, with my lawn mower money, I got bored with it. The only way it was fun on MAME, was when I played as all 4 turtles at once. On MAME, you can activate all 4 "controllers," and play as all 4 turtles.

Just because a game is maybe re-made or not as filled to the brim with graphics, doesn't make it a bad game. It's all in a person's respectives really. I think people pay too much attention to reviews instead of playing the game itself to see if they like it or not. ^^;

Turtles in time was epic in 1991, but I think I paid $10 for it in 1992 and played it til the cartridge fried, :(. But given the choice between Re-shelled and the original, I'd take the original any day. What's really funny is IGN trying to compare this remake that is meant to be nothing more than nostalgic(sp?) and to titles costing $70 game-play-wise if you put TIT against the other $10 games the gameplay is comparable. TIT Reshelled would suck hard if they turned it into Ninja Turtles Gaidan.

No, my last paragraph is the point. This reviewer criticizes the simple gameplay of TMNT, yet does NOT apply that same criticism to newer games. Said reviewer makes a comment along the lines of "games have come a long way and this does not cut it anymore." Just because it is simple. Well Smash Bros is very simple, Guitar Hero is simple (Simon Says put to music), etc. I was pointing out that modern games are not inherently better than old ones. This review is INANE. and its WRITE not Right.
