  • gba

  • My opinion is the ds is the best

  • A..snes emulator on gba? Why? Thats fucking stupid

  • GBA and DS have a modified version of the SNES's GPU so they both do can emulate SNES partially in hardware as they have the same tile sets and 4 background layers as SNES.

  • I wish people would stop calling the iPhone a video game device.

  • i wonder if the 3DS could run a N64 and a GC emulator at fullspeed

  • @BlazingSoul333 A n64 emulator fo shu! The PSP can do it perfectly , so why not 3DS?

But about the gamecube one...No , just no. It's not even CLOSE to gamecube graphics , maybe a bit like PS2 , but NEVER like gamecube. Atleast not in a Portable console nowadays.

  • geez teh gp2x is like on 'roids!

  • gba = ~32 mhz ?kb ds =~67 mhz 4mb ...wiz= 533mhz + 64mb ddr

  • gba will always be my fave

  • Best of theese consoles is GP2x wiz i think.I'm going to buy that.

And i dont know why did you take there GBA,GBA is very old and nds has same functions + new functions...

  • GP2X wins

  • Thumbs up for the idea of putting the 3 videos together for comparison. Got a little confused sometimes with all those sounds though

  • My cell phone runs snes games full speed too :D

  • you press L+a and R=b

  • holy shit its an all supermario world gangbang

people that own this device are so cool i wanna be cool too damnit i want one

  • Wiz wins. Nothen beats wiz :DD

  • except dingoo

  • that's the 1st gp2x model, not the wiz

  • wiz winz lol

  • ya know , the DS version is alot better now , it can go 120% speed ! and it fixes graphical glitches like that black Sky over there!

  • Still not that good. Only a few games work really perfect.

  • gp2x snes emul speed :125 to 150%

    gba(sp)snes emul. speed 25 to 50%

    ds snes emul speed 100%

    (the ds is using passme,right)

  • q palhassada é essa voc filma mal paks e tira mo onda com o GBA ...

o game é mo loko e voc o deixou como c ele foc um polistation....

    seu cuzão...☺

  • what more of a classic on the snes can you find except super mario world it was even a lunching title with the SNES like super mario bros was packaged with the NES

  • ds rocks!

  • what is the snes emulator of ds PLZ!

  • VBA pwns all emulators

  • The gba's screen is dark.

  • Nintendo DSi was upgraded to 130 Mhz so emuation should be smoother and faster if the tweak the DS's emulator to take advantage of the extra speed.

  • ds ds

  • thankyou!!!about time I see someone that notices that I iphone is a load of shit...PPC'S from 3 or 4 years back are more advanced that lump of shit...XDA flame for life....

  • gp2x F100? F200?

  • Super MArio World rules!

  • get psp emulator it plays the game at nirmal speed

  • some games run at normal speed i got mine cheaped first generation and i will say THIS IS NOT TRUE! some due but you can adjust. ill say this. the emulation for super mario kart on the GPX2 was alot nicer then psp's did and DS was decent i would say the psp is a tiny bit slower but still good and enjoyable too.

  • i think ds and gba are same..

  • i'm not familiar with the gp2x, but this video made me curious about it, so i'm wondering, how much does it cost, and what can it do?

  • GP2X can emulate almost everything perfectly, even Sega CD and Sega Genesis! Preordering the GP2x WIZ, which is the latest and fastest model, costs about 179.99 at the official gp2x store. When I receive my preordered one in February when it is released, I will try to post a video of it in action of emulation.

  • > i'm not familiar with the gp2x, but this

    > video made me curious about it, so i'm

    > wondering, how much does it cost, and what

    > can it do?

First, you don't want the GP2X - get the new Wiz, it's the next generation of the 2x.

Second, it's a handheld linux computer. It can do anything a computer can. It will play movies, it will play music, and it can emulate machines up the wazoo. It can run anything up to (possibly) the PS1.

    $180.

  • SP

    FAIL!

  • FAKE video!

gp2x is not faster than Ds...

  • u sure?

  • you have to realize that this video is from 2006, so the SNES emulation on GP2X is nearly perfect now, and will be completely perfect when the WIZ falls into the hands of SNES emulator developers.

  • > FAKE video!

    > gp2x is not faster than Ds...

    GP2X is 200 Mhz.

    DS is 67 Mhz.

    They are both ARM variants.

The new GP2X Wiz is 533 Mhz - faster than a PSP or that crappy iPhone piece of shit every moron raves about.

  • > 533Mhz? The iPod Touch ALONE has been tested

    > NUMEROUS places to be clocked somewhere around

    > 533Mhz

The iPhone runs at 412 Mhz. You can of course overclock it.

    > GP2x & EVEN the Wiz lags

You've never run a Wiz. They're only available in China and to developers. They will be for retail sale at the end of this month.

The Wiz is an integrated GPU/CPU chip with ARM as it's base processor, compatible with OpenGL 1.1.

I can tell you've never tried to run any emulators on the iPhone.

  • The iphone sucks at emulation.. the games run but with piece of shit sound.. so haha to you

  • ive seen a bunch of emulation videos and The PSP has the best emulation i think it can even emulate all those hand helds on the video

  • Obviously not...except the GBA at a slow speed. Otherwise no, but the PSP is a great emulator too but you have to hack it while the GP2X (and the new GP2X Wiz which is twice as powerful as the PSP) are 100% already open so you can run any kind of code you want on it/them.

  • ds cant render all layers but plays mega drive allmost perfect

  • Anyone know which SNES emulator is best for DS?

  • DS SUCKS ASS ???

  • lol, no PSP, which would have been the best version. Anyway, GP2X doesn't speed limit, so DS wins this one.

  • P.S. PSP plays Mario Kart flawlessly. None of these can do that.

  • so does gp2x, just get the best emulator and speed it up to 270 and Its perfect for me

  • gba is too slow,gp2x too fast, and ds on par with psp with better sound

  • my psp has emulators, & il say that snes aint perfect. ive not seen any1 with a perfect run of super mario kart. hopefully 1 day i wil

  • you know the gp2x has video out for a tv?

would probly make it more like the origional with interlacing.

  • I think I will just wait for VC on Wii to bring the cool games.

  • Well, the Wii may be small, but it's not a handheld.

  • True, I wouldn't mind emulating some of the games I own on DS, however I am not sure the exact process. I know it's flash cards and USB addaptor port, and some sort of thingy that jacks into the GBA port to play, not to sure beyond that. Roms are no problem for me Uturrent and all:)

  • Not to mention, we always enjoy something more, when we pay for it. fact, because there is more sacrifice. Although it may take some work to collect all the Roms, the individual game has practically Zero value because we get what we paid for, if you pay nothing, well that's what you get= a shadow of the the fun there once was. besides, on a handheld, can you even play 2 player Co-op games with others?

  • A Virtual Console game is more fun cause you paid for it? I realize the value of owning an original cart and box for a game, but I don't see how a Virtual Console version is more fun than an emulation on another system. Besides you're missing the point entirely. This is about playing SNES games on the go.

  • True, I just found it odd to see Mario Kart, a 2 player game which I get little or no Joy from playing by myself. Then again that further reflects my motives for buying Wii, more togetherness gaming and less Shut-it lifestyle. I think it would be very neat to take a lot of games "on the go" however I still prefer being content with buying a select few instead of having an a bunch and and always wanting more. Bangai-O Spirits designed by Treasure, DS Action shooter 4 player Co-op Blast fest.

  • Mario Kart isn't even emulated on the DS... (I'm not a big fan of the SNES game anyway. I'd rather play Mario Kart 64, DS or Wii)

  • Wii Mario is awesome. I noticed That DS Mario Kart had "Problems" ;P I used to spend a lot of time downloading Roms, I got sick of it and don't play them on my PC or anything. It may sound foolish but I own Fantasy Zone cartridge for SEGA master system, and I own a Sega master system, I also have the Rom for Fantasy Zone, but I never enjoyed the game more, now that I have it on Wii VC. Call me a burned our Emulatorist but I like to take my game collecting slower now.

  • Sorry..Spelling= "Burned OUT" . It's like gaming in general for me, I am sick of controlling games with the lmited control scheme of analog sticks, the Wii really brought some excitement and nostagia back into gaming for me.

  • and the fact that the image wont be streched beyond its original resolution....

  • one word the R4

  • one better word CycloDS Evolution

  • one better word CycloDS Evolution

  • Scratch that, I'll play the games on Dreamcast:)

  • i love my dreamcast

  • Talk about emulation. The dreamcast emulates that feeling of actually sitting in frot of the TV playing the old games. NEO4ALL!!! 52 roms CDI!!!

  • how do you do spiltscreen vids

  • Using quicktime pro, you can keep adding video layers and then set their position. Otherwise, you'd have to use something more expensive.

  • @amiga2000 unless you have 1337 H4X1N9 skillz or some shit. LOL!

  • @agentgamma or just don't use windows movie maker.

  • how do you do spiltscreen vids

  • The truth is-all the portables emulate certain things the best. The psp is great for ps1 games and genesis. It can do a lot of snes games, but it has its issues. If zsnes could make an emu for psp, it would be awesome. DS wins the gba award hands down. It looks like the GP2x emulates the snes the best and the fact that it can do neogeo and others makes it pretty useful. I have a DS and a psp and may just have to get one of these at some point. Can it play the original gp32 games?

  • GP2X

  • where can i get this emu for ds

  • RIght now I think the DS has best emulation...

  • ...you must have an overgrown blind spot or something...

  • Wow GP2X emulation looks like shit.

    Ever hear of speed limiters?

    Jesus Christ.

  • PSP emulation is way better

  • Fucking retard.

I hope you liked paying a total of $300 to get it all working that way

  • wtf are you talking about i didnt spent $300 on nothing i bought my psp for $200 like a years ago i hacked it with custom firmware which is free downloaded the Snes emulator and now i have over 500 snes roms on my psp plus Nes, Sega, GBC,GBa,N64,and PS1 games and all of them play perfect

  • Funny considering SNES and N64 emulation on the PSP are horrible.

  • NOpe almost all snes games run perfectly on my psp the only one i have problems is with doom but they have a hombrew for that anyway and its online so its alright but yea n64 games do suck on psp only games ive tested that work almost perfect are Mario 64 Mario kart 007 and super smash brothers with the n64 emulator daedalus r13 and more games are gonna be added to that list when r14 is released

  • If my SNES or N64 game needs to run at even 1 frameskip I consider it unplayable, which they are.

  • I would be surprised that you would be able to tell a 59fps vs 60fps run without the fps meter in the corner.

  • are you retarded? no offence but the snes emulator works perfectly for the psp... if i were you id download another emulator.. maybe you just got one that sucks

  • Hardware wise, which is more powerful, the DS or GP2X?

  • The Gp2x has dual 200mhz cpu's and the DS has a 67 mhz and a 33 mhz cpu structure. Also noteworthy, is that the DS has 4mb of RAM and the gp2x has 64mb of RAM.

  • is there a way to play MAME roms on a DS using the R4? I can get SNES/NES, and DS roms to play using emultors made for the DS, but not my MAME roms using my MAME emulator..anyone know of if there is a solution

  • The DS is too slow to play regular mame. There are however some specialized / optimized versions of mame that lets you play certain games at full speed.

  • @amiga2000 Mame works on the new dstwo cards. Alekmaul ported it

  • how did you get those on ds?

  • there are several ways, check out my other videos with the DS, there are a couple that show how to copy files, etc.

  • ds isnt that dark...

  • The GP2X emulation is too fast...is this normal?

  • The only fast thing I noticed about the GP2X emulation was the music and possibly sound effects. The gameplay itself looked normal.

  • haora as la prueba con el SNEmulDS 0.6 alpha

  • Well the GP2X is open source so non of any of the current handhelds is going to compete with it when it comes to homebrew or Emus.

  • THAT WAS LAME... NO OFFENSE LOL!?!

  • nice video

  • my poor ears!!!

  • lol DS fwked up worse then the GBA XD

  • ehh, PsP sucks? That's why I can play N64, Sega, GBA, PSX, SNES and some PC games on it o.O, but I must mention this is really cool:-D

  • Well the PSP is cool but sony is the one being gay with all the firmware crap.

  • custom firmwire?

  • but still. you have to admit sony is being pretty gay about the firmware crap.

  • ^^yes but they have to earn money! atherwise it will be never a ps4 in 2010^^

  • Haha, as a PSP owner, N64 is crap. Bloody muppets.

My DS can play all those at full speed too. Barring the N64 which even the super fast PSP can't handle properly.

Silly fans putting attaching their name to a system.

  • The best would ba a PSP-DS thing...

  • NO.. the best would be PSP/DS/XBOX-PORTABLE/IPHON... awesomeness!!! =)

  • Nope. Just a more powerful, larger screened DS, but something more portable than a PSP.

With the multitouch tech licensed from Apple.

  • I was actually asking about the frames per second on the ds emulator.. But I'll see for myself in a few days, just placed an order ;-).

  • How is the fps on the ds snes emu, and which emulator was used?

  • I think it was a late 2005 build of snesDS. It's worth mentioning that SNES emulators on both the DS and GP2X have gotten much better. I can't say the same for the GBA though...

  • i'm -thinking- about getting a gpx2, but... are they bad about frameskip and speed issues? it sounds as if the gpx2 is trying to play the rom too fast, then slows back down...

  • Thia is a good idea, but split screen was a bad idea. Really bad Idea. Its too busy and you cant see and understand everything.

  • Nice comparison video mate. I am currently doing this on my DS and having mixed results.

  • Thanks. Make sure you check out the forums and use the new squidge optimzed version instead of the one in this video. the wiki pages are a great resource too.

  • How the hell can you emulate a GBA???

  • you can slow the frame rate down.

  • The GP2X sounds like it's on speed. Why would i want to play a game at double the speed it was intended?

  • Maybe he was trying to show it running wide open-but running normal speed would be a better show I think...it really was going quitefast wasn't it!!

  • Is it just me or is the GP2x running the game too fast. Why even bother doing snes emulation on gba you should have had psp instead.

  • PsP suck, and why would you buy a over priced piece of shiny plastic when you can just play your snes

  • so where did you get your mario rom from?

  • stupid you make slow the video of gba

  • wow did the gba $%$#$% up

  • GP2X Wins

  • SnEmulDS is much better now...

I finished Super Metroid with it : almost perfect !!

  • u should have replaced the empty space with a MAME cabinet emulation of the game.

  • that's a great idea.

  • wow... you're kinda terrible at super mario.

  • gp2x is slow as molasses. and sad how even the DS has probs. ill just stick to putting emulation on a laptop :\

  • You should check out some of the newer SNES emulation videos on the GP2X and PSP. I think the PSP ones are much faster.

  • yea i hear psps are the best for emulation, but DS's have the best game library :\

  • How I can play SNES games in my GBAMP???

  • Shoulda put a PSP in there to replace that poor GBA.

  • Now put a psp in the scene

  • i'd do it if i had one. anyone care to donate?

  • Gp2x seems to one up the DS & GBA, although the DS seems to have a few issues on sprites & pixels, whereas GBA is as slow as a grampa. I'm think'n it's probably the emulator and not the game system, but hey, who could keep up? PSP doesn't seem to have any issues, unless you keep it to a 1.50 firmware, so in short,

  • I'm gonna take my thoughts with the emulator itself to be a factor amongst the 3 all together. Unless you knew that or not, but hey, I'm not trying to judge. I'm just taking a shot in the dark on that one all together.

  • whats the thing playing the Snes emulator on the Ds so i can get. i really want to play killer instinct

  • lol the DS crashed on Super Mario Kart

  • The black screen of the GBA looks like the most fun lmao..

As for the DS, please note that this is not the lite version and that the SNES Emulator for it is in a quite early stage, while the GP2X one is almost two years in developement. The DS sure has enough power to emulate the SNES accurately but it will take some more time.

  • I OWN ONE ITS AWSOME PLAYS ALL SYSTEMS EXCEPT N64 PLAYSTATION 2 and ANY others that are high on graphics

  • Just a quick note, the SNEmulDS emulator for the DS is getting better with each release, so many games now run very well on it. See my videos for a few demos.

  • The GP2X version looks much better, and when did that handheld come out?

  • I think the gp2x came out late 2005 or early 2006.

  • uh oh!!! dont make me think about it! i have too many video games! i dont want to buy another one like this! cus it wastes of money!!

  • Gp2x version seems to be running faster than it should.

  • Agreed... the DS seemed to be running at the right speed, but had graphics glitches. I assume it's easy to throttle the GP2X to the right speed tho.

  • I'm so getting a GP2X :D

  • as far as i kno u can even put game on a pod and shit dont be dumb and pass up my offer.if any1 know then message me.

  • i put it on everything i love if some1 can show me how to emulate these games.ill literally hand, mail, wester union you a thousand dollars in your hand.

  • chickenhounk911 (at) yahoo (dot) com

  • What's a GP2X?

  • It's an open source linux based gaming handheld. Wiki for it and you'll see a whole lot more of what it can do. As you can see from these videos, most ppl use it to run retro emulation.

  • wtf is that system in the top left corner?

  • just gp2x

  • hmm..never heard of it

  • "how to get a headache..."

  • good vid, but what about the psp?

  • all i can say is its a hit or miss situation. the gp2x seems to load it somewhat ok the nintendo ds just has minor bugs but i notice no slowdowns.

  • gba rox :D

  • Its not your system, it's the emulator you're using.

  • This must be what hell sounds like. Both the gba and ds can play this game by the way... buy it and stick it in the slot chum.

  • gpex had the sound go to fast, NDS was really good, and the SP just failed miserably

  • sony suxxxxxxxxxxxx....so does PSP, PS3

  • People, you gotta try pocketSNES. It's much better than the emulator featured on the GBA here.
