  • I WANT it!

  • can you put the epoxy on the outside?

  • @sodalover789 The outside is epoxied. My first popsicle boat was only epoxied on the inside and requires supergluing joints every spring because they crack. This one is done inside & out. No cracking problems.

  • @lisahutch98 thanks. if you want to see my popsicle stick boats look on my page. oh and what kind of epoxy do you use.

  • would you be able to put the epoxy on the outside of the boat or just the inside?

  • Outside looks a little ruff but in my eyes as a fisherman it makes it all the more true to form or scale whatever.PLease dont take the ruff part as disrespct. Its an awsome boat.one of the more realistic ive seen..

  • you need to get a little net for it then you could trawl for minnows

  • what kind of epoxy did you use theres so many kinds know lol

  • where did you get the reciver and the other stuff from and how much it cost?

  • Are you able to like put plastic to cover the hull?

    Yes or no

  • @zr1driftmods The hull is coated with epoxy which is just like plastic.

  • thanks anyways spear

  • Spear can you make a new vid that has the DIAGRAM of this boat that will be great.

  • @zr1driftmods I don't have much time for anything these days, but I'll keep it in mind. Maybe I'll get a chance sometime.

  • Hey Guy, dont know if U remember but I contacted U a few months back when I built my BROOKLYN class cruiser out of pop. sticks. Im wondering if U have any good still photos of the motors and wiring? Im building 2 more boats and intend to motorize them so any drawings, pics, diagrams would come in handy.

  • @dlharwood Check my video of my first rc popsicle boat, the tug boat. I think there are some close up stills of the internal parts on that. I don't really have any other pics than what's in the videos.

  • thanks

  • what kinda of glue did you use thats waterproof because im built arc pontoon boat, and im having trouble with the glue coming off in water and pontoons keep coming off cuz glue dont hold in water????

  • @heathdspain It is glued together with regular wood glue, but is then coated with EPOXY inside and out. The epoxy is what makes it waterproof.

  • how'd you get the marks where the mini bildge pump whole thing has algy growing when water is always getting pumped out

  • I just dry brushed on black paint up & down. Get most of the paint off the brush, then brush what's left up & down.

  • good job man i would like to see it at the ocean but the bad thing is that all the ice cream is gone! =-(

  • Real nice Dude. I've built a couple of boat with popsicle stick even tought of sealing it with epoxy but never got to there lol youre awesome mates.

  • Thank very much!

  • Spear can you make a new video with the diagram of the boat and some more pics please that will be awsome

  • what's da song?

  • is that a brushless motor i see in the trawler?

  • No it's an axial 20 turn brushed can motor. It got so hot in the small space it was in, I had to add the cooling fan from a computer.

  • Congradulation!

  • thanks

  • whats the best thing to use to cut the popsicle stick?

  • I use a tin snips or they may be called sheet metal cutters. They have long handles and short scissors like blades. They cut them really easy and clean.

  • your a really talented fucker. love it.

  • Thanks!!!!

  • nice, great details.

  • Thanks so much! !

  • the next irwin allen

  • how fast

  • The bottom of the bow lifts out of the water at full speed, but the stern sinks down pretty close to the water, so I don't go full often. Not really fast, but fast for a wood fishing boat.

  • Its not fast, but a good scale speed. A M A Z I N G design! 5*!

  • Thanks. You should check out my other vid of this boat. There are construction pics.

  • wHat did you use to seal the popsicle sticks?

  • I glued everything together with wood glue, then brushed on a layer of epoxy both inside and out. There is another video of this boat if you haven't seen it, check it out. It gives more construction pics and info in the video description.

  • That's a great idea with the kayaks. There's nothing like being out there in your boat.

  • great boat, saw the first one to and both are sweet. I like the idea of using the kayak as a mother ship too!

  • Thanks!! Yes the kayaks are great when your boat is new and you don't know if anything may go wrong or not. I've been lucky with my boats so far...knock on wood...
