  • Wow people, the giant thing that looks like guts that he pulls out and shows at 5:10 is the poison sack. The reason he shows it, is to show that it isnt cut. Cut that and its over. The reason that you pick them out of the tank is just for novelty, and mainly to show that the fish is fresh. @shadowknightsliph of course the fish is dead, EVERYTHING that humans eat is dead. Plants get pick and die, you eat them, fish/ meat get butchered then eaten. What are you some sorta idiot?

  • @mar3bissshU Actually... A lot of people eat LIVE things... Mostly in Asia, Some sushi restaurants serve the food while it still moves, and there are even "fast cooks" that prepare the fish so fast that it is served fried and still moving.

  • Incorrect. Look at the start of the video. There's a massive cut in the "forehead" where the fish has been swiftly killed and severing the the spinal cord. Look at 30 seconds just in front the guys hand.

  • @lnwreal9 that is why they skin it/cut/gut while it's still alive and conscious. they stun it by hitting it on the head. that is all i know, the rest to me is a mystery. i saw a bit on it on "how do they do it" on tv

    さばいている方なら分かっているはず(笑)

    カエルのお肉を頭に付け過ぎなイメージも受けました。。。

    頭はダシとしての役割を考えているので、切り口を変えた方がいい­と思います。

    色々なさばき方を知り、改善してきた方なら分かると思いますがこ­のはがし方は、身に内臓が残りすぎます。先に頭を切り離してから­、内臓と身を分けた方が掃除が楽ですよ^^

  • i was in japan in 2009 ad one of the japanese sponsor told me that you have to be licensed to serve this . they actually train you to cut this fis properly or better yet safely. the fish is served thinly sliced and has a tingly after taste

  • It is kinda of scared me rite now! I remembered once when I was a little child I swam and saw blowfish float on lake. I catched it and bbq by myself then I ate a little bit. I didn't know that it has poison, may be I was lucky to live or maybe it has no poison!

  • In Japan, when a person invaded by the poison, we say "shot by the poison," and in the western part of Japan, "balloonfish" is called "Teppou" or "Tetsu" (both mean a gun), which means the fish kills people like a gun.

    Sasimi (sliced raw fish) of balloonfish is called "Tessa," which was originally "Tetsu no Sashimi" So, "Tetsu no Sashimi" is abbreviated as "Tessa."

    I believe this is what he is trying to say.

    its not dangerous to cut without gloves but is lethal to use the knife that way. the poison is on the skin and the organs. please never serve fugu to anyone

  • Not much meat on the outside part of the fish.Dosn't look much not to die for.I've seen a tv show that this one guy had Fugu&he got poisoned he didn't die but got paralyzed and the dr-s thought he was dead.He could see and feel everything but cause his heart only beat 5times a minute all thought he was dead.He finally came out of it 2 days later in the fridge.

  • Extremely. In asia cooking a globefish is considered an art mostly because cutting the good parts require a lot of expertise and is expensive.
