  • daar word ik nou niet opgewonden van ofzo

geef mij die cr 500 maar !!

  • i9 is the shit. i have a pair and the pros heard me coming up the mountain on race day they turned round to say that sounds like money!

  • @BMJ2008 Lollllllll not at all watch how the wheel ends if brakes were rubbing it wouldn't just slowly coast to a stop it would slow down and then have an abrupt stop

  • @trifloow any decent wheel would never come to an abrupt stop. and good wheels roll forever. obviusly u never owned industry nine. let alone chris king wheels. not to include hope hubs, saint hubs, and many others.

  • tire is scrubbing the chain sway wrap you've got. i have the same problem with my spec grom 26" my rear tire was close to 3" and scrubbed out my arm pretty gnar.

  • ONDE EU CONSIGO ROLAMENTOS DE CERÂMICA ? ALGUÉM PODE ME DIZER ?

  • it´s gonna take off!

  • That would be the sound of the brakepads on the disk..

  • which rotors are those?

  • mine make better sound .lol

  • your wheel has a buckle!

  • This is pointless and crap. This fella has no life!

  • they are the least precise hubs on the planet. Im sick of fixing them! watch the rotor and youll see how non centric the hole drillings are. They also come with shit for lube in them. We use Chris King driver lube in the clutch mech to keep it going strong for a season in Whistler.

  • Oh god! Can anyone tell me whr to get it?

  • Dont sweat what folk say about your clean bike son, Soldiers go and do the dirtiest Jobs in the world in the most dirty places yet they are the cleanest men on the planet ;) outstanding.

  • GOB SHITE

  • That bike is way too clean... ever ride it off road?

  • @flintlocks84 Yeck yea he has. He's a Military man. A soldier, A perfectionist, get it ? ;)

  • or only needs some grease

  • hey man, the tyre can be taking in the frame next to the crank

  • zerada

  • do you have my cat in there? :(

  • You didn't want to put that tyre on properly huh?

  • They are wayyyyyyy to loud. I have a set and had to take out three of the six paws because of the noise and the drag. My ride buddies hated me for about a month.

  • Gay...

  • now put ya knob in & see how fast it stops!

  • waaw is that magic =P

  • в чем прикол?!

  • lmmfao.....rubbin........bearing style goofs.......old skooled onced a-gain

  • @Forikat LOL

  • sound like landing plane

  • holy shit - that must be SCREAMING when doing 25mph downhill

  • just tape some baseball cards on your frame so your spokes hit it. Its cheaper and sounds alot better.

  • I am surprised too

  • why does this shit have 93572 FUCKING views ??

  • @halfpipefreak you looked to it too...

  • @benjowski yea but i wasted a minute of my life doing that.

  • that bike doesnt look dirty enough!

  • You can get the same sound far cheaper, just make sure a knobby tire rubs on the frame all the time ;)

  • GIMME!!

  • sounds like a jet holay sheet!

  • that has to be the worst sounding hub ever

  • Whats your POE for this thing it sounds crazy good

  • looks like the sound is coming from the tire rubbing off the grip acting as a frame protector.

  • @ooJ0HN0oo your retarded its suppose to sound like that

  • I was gunna say, the sound, isn't that the tyre rubbing on the swingarm??

  • Please post something worth watching. Pointless, dude...pointless. Get out and get some dirt on that bike.

  • amateurs. dude i changed my forks to bombers.... and i my forks do not leak i said it's my friend!!!!! is my english not clear...? zzzzz

  • almost sounds as good as my chris king iso hub

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like a planeee :D

  • you're spoiling and letting your front suspension fork to leak you dumbass! don't ever treat your bike like this.

  • @kelcandice I don't know what cheap ass forks u've got, but most of them will have no problem with this.

As long as it's not RST or Suntour or some other cheap ass brand he's fine..

I don't like the sound, it sounds like a whining cat..

  • @kelcandice lol wat!? The only way that happens is if you've blown a seal. How do you think inverted forks work? There's oil 24/7 on the seals of my dorado, they don't leak by just sitting there.

  • @spec01 dUDE not all forks are the same expensive ones like yours... and trust me i saw someone that happened to their bike.

  • @kelcandice You must be riding some pretty shitty forks. Even my old marzocchis from the year 2000 didn't do that. Are we talking walmart bikes here?

  • ich denk mal es liegt an der nabe

  • sounds like chris king :))

  • i think it sounds like sex

  • @racerfreak8 Only if your having sex with a Japanese girl

  • @evilamish LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • oh sick *-*

  • i bet its the tyre not seated properly pulling the wheel and makeing it woble

  • @canda1986

no his wheel is out of true, the spokes need adjusting

  • @firstling1 nope his wheel is fine look at the rim it folows the same line but his tyre is up and down

  • now put ya finger in & see how fast it stops

  • @TheMcAussie Haha! I would like to see that..

  • haha

  • @TheMcAussie kerr me son i put my finger in a rotor once when cleaning it while it was spinning, took a nice chunk off my index finger and the rotor stopped DEAD.

  • @patpat070 that was silly wasnt it

  • @nags555 yes maam

  • @TheMcAussie chops

  • @TheMcAussie my buddy did that! going nowere near as fast but it still claimed the tip of his finger

  • @TheMcAussie i did once. lol on accident of course. degloved the tip of my finger. had it sewed back on. not pretty. hahaha

  • lol... nice but i prefer the Hope!!! u can recognize it from a mile away!!! lol...

  • dunno why you think his cassette is loose and his disc looks straight to me, and I think he does like the noise and making the springs looser wont change the sounds thats the pawls in the hub (its got summat like 3 times as many pickups as a normal MTB hub)

  • disc brake obviously... (the noise)

  • its his i9 hub..

  • why do u want the sound?? sorry i just got into biking this summer

  • it's like your bike's 'engine' noise :)

  • @DrummerNigel7 cuz its cool to ride a trail with that noice...

  • @DrummerNigel7 ITS NOT FOR THE SOUND, THAT "SOUND" HAPPENS BECAUSE IT ENGAGES FASTER.

  • thighten your cassette!

  • LOL

  • it sounds ur disks of brakes

  • amassing it would be weird to hear that roll up behind you

also you need to true your rim

  • Sounds nearly as good as my Reighly grifter!!!!!!

  • Very good your disc brake..What is your rotor.??

  • some hope floating rotor

  • Hope ?

  • industry 9

  • is that good or bad?

  • good, it shows that the hub has an ass load of engagment plus that wheel jst spun for a minute

  • ok i was just wondering because its pretty anoying..

  • I would be willing to bet that that bike costs more than teh car you drive.

  • People who LIVE ride bike! You're just jealous.....

  • It looks/ sounds like ur tread is hittin the chainstay guard

  • buckled tire much :L

  • kinda sounds like a air raid siren.

  • genial the equip

  • Thanks for posting this I'm thinking about getting I9's and wanted to hear them.

    Great idea.

  • hehe mind you, rubbing is friction, which brings about heat, which builds-up, lessening the amount the system can take-on under braking...

..... it hacks the ability for the rider to Brake... : \

    It basically shouldn't touch : )

  • You're an idiot, mainly because you think you know something and speak like you're an authority on a subject about which you are apparently painfully unaware.

The hub should sound exactly like that, and it has nothing to do with the brake. It is because there are 120 points of engagement and 6 pawls in the freehub mechanism, which means that the "click" noise you usually hear in a hub is happening hundreds of times more often.

  • Agreed, the freehub should sound like that.

In addressing MihailTube's & thug0gr3's points Re.: brake rub, my contribution shows goodwill, as opposed to painful idiocy.

Here's to hoping you cheer-up, draw your sense of significance in non-abusive ways, and enjoy your rides ; )

  • no, it's meant to sound like that.

  • mine is the same lol

  • Ok...

Now, put your finger on disc rotor.XD

  • ha,hahahaha!it hurts

  • Correct. The bottom line is that you get the power to the back wheel sooner when you push on the pedal.

There is more drag on this hub than, say a standard Shimano, Mavis or DT Swiss hub (POE between 30 and 40), but the guys at I9 says it is less thena with King (72 POE).

When I switch bikes to one with even a King hub, I notice the slower engagement. When you first ride an I9, especaily if coming from sopenthing with about 36 POE, you can't believe it!

    These wheels cost around US$900.

  • nice

i just got myself a try-all 108.9--(that stands for 108.9 POE) thats second best next to your hub. very nice sound btw.

  • if i hadn't read earlier today that it has 120 POE, i wouldn't believe this is from the hub!

Too bad this Enduro set is almost 1k € here... :S

  • has anyone else noticed that I9 built in a bit of drag in their wheels? Not terribly noticeable but definitely more than king hubs. I still love them though,i grew up in asheville nc and love having a wheel set from a local company. They do great follow up service for local people.

  • Anyone who thinks this noise is made by anything other than the hub should not make such comments. You need to hear one of these hubs to know. They 'click' 120 (or 60 if you take out every second pawl) times a revolution, which as FAR more than any other hub (King is 72 POE).

I have a set and when I am riding I don't hear the noise over the sound of the gravel/dirt. I only hear it when coasting on tarmac.

The front hub will take normal QR plus 15mm, 20mm and I think 24mm through axles.

  • whats POE? the higher the POE the lesser drag there is izzit?

  • Points Of Engagement. Basically, there is a ratchet system that allows the rear wheel to spin when you are just coasting, but then it locks the hub when you pedal (engagement).

  • thx =) hmm... but i dont really understand. haha. but what ure saying is actually the same as your earlier comment izzit? icic

(from what ive understood, pardon my knowledge, haha) comparing I9 hubs to other hubs I9 has a faster engagement when u pedal, comparing to other hubs where u have to depress the pedal to a certain angle to start the engagement.

correct me if i'm wrong =)

  • thats an industry 9 alright

  • you're so fucking dumb with your shitty material piece rubbing

  • the noise is from the material on the back end of the bike protecting the bar on the opposite side of your disk-break the material is rubbing against it

  • no you dumbass it would make that noise when he was pedaling too because the wheel is moving but it didnt. think about it

  • wtf me the dumbass you need to go to school its called commensence if the was going forwards obvcorece it wou;d make tho noice becasue the material is rubbing against it look a tit in the vid its rubbing !!!!!!!!!

    fucking PRICk

  • first off you should learn how to type. and then take a physics class at school. that is the sound of the hub. no additional noise. i've been a mechanic at a bike shop for 4 years so i think you should learn your shit before making yourself sound like an idiot on the internet.

  • he is fucking pealing how the fuck do u think the fuckin tyer is fucking moveing hyou fucking dumbass

the big is just upside down fuckin dumbass

  • wow you are so fucking stupid

  • I love it when retards think their smart

  • * they're

  • I don't know what context this is, but I agree.

  • retard...

  • life?

  • .....a

  • get

  • my springs just fucking die :( do you know to price of these springs?

  • those are 08 Magura Louise BAT, yeah, rotors are Hope

  • Sexy bike. Best sounding Hub I've heard by far.

  • Kind of sounds like my chris king iso disc hub. Also ryanv769 don't burn it till you own it, then post your opinion. I hope I could use those wheels on the niner sir nine I am going to build over the winter.

  • its sounds like 120 poe but its not dat loud as my bmx hubs are much louder

  • nice! 120 POE is superb!

  • how many engagement points?

  • i think its every three degrees which would mean 120 points

  • i dont get it
