That's interesting that you are growing elderberries from seed. Should come up with some new flavors, that way. But did you know that, if you take some woody cuttings of elderberry, especially when it's dormant, and place the cuttings in a bucket of water, or in bottles on your window sill, that they will shoot roots in a matter of days,and can then be potted up or planted out in spring? Of course, the wood is toxic, though, and kids have been poisoned making blowpipes out of them So water is ☠☠
Its a shame that it seems like people can quietly go about their lives in ways that are truly beneficial and yet go entirely unnoticed and yet if someone spends a few seconds smashing a banks window then it makes the front page. I guess that its in the nature of community to appreciate less showy contributions and its in the nature of mass culture to highlight empty sensationalism. Thats not to say that I would want to promote pacifism particularly.
I believe that all protest is self-destructive, and removing any outwardly destructive elements does not remove the self-destructive nature of protest. Media teaches self-destructive methods of protest, precisely to negate the effectiveness of those who want change. We affect change in celebration of, and building the world around us.
