  • hey what mods did you have to do to get 10 psi? im doing 5-6 psi and i want to upgrade to 9-10 psi, i have a bigger fuel pump, i am going to install 39lb injectors from an 04 cobra and obviosly a smaller vortech pulley and the cobra mass air flow sensor, im thinking changing those things out and get it tuned, any suggestions or other things i might need that you guys reccomend?

  • @aman450r well for one you have to have the proper pulley size. I bought my procharger kit with the 10 psi pulley. I also have the walbro 255 pump 44lb injectors. and other bolt on parts

  • @Spright0 yo noob, you never race a forced induction car with a 1/4 tank. fuel slosh can cause a temporary lean condition and all of a sudden youre picking up pieces of the shit inside your engine. whoever came up with that shit is a retard, and if your car is fast enough(i.e. not a honda) then how much gas is in the thing is a nonfactor.

  • @ryanathan2 Really dude? Why would something with 260hp(stock Mustang GT) need the same fuel pump as something with 550hp(stock Ford GT)? If that was the case, 90% of Mustang GT owners wouldn't need to upgrade their fuel system when going supercharged. I'd love to see a 99-04 Mustang GT make 500hp on a stock fuel pump. You are the one that sounds like a troll... dumbass

I would never race someone with a full tank of gas well I cant say neverf but with a returnless fuel system I wont race at a 1/4 tank, Unless I am racing in my 2010 STAGE 3 Roush. How about post some of your car??

  • @azdentguy Best I ran was a 13 flat. Had problems with traction. Its sitting around 400 hp. That 13 was with the stock 327 Rearend

  • @eustispanther I put the Ford GT super car fuel pump in. I had to rewire it to work. should have went with the cobra tank and fuel hat.

  • @albee26 as far as I know 99 and up mustang's come with GT supercar fuel pump (255LPH) right??? If u didnt know that and waste all that money that was a fail

  • @tusobreviviente No dude... Before u call someone's setup a fail u need to know what you're talking about. 99-04 Mustangs did not come with supercar pumps lol. Actually, most Mustang GT owners upgrade to a SVT Focus pump or a supercar pump if they need more. And Cobra's don't have 22 gallon tanks either... lol. Its still a 15.7 it just has baffles in it to keep fuel from sloshing away from the pump.Also, Cobra's don't have (2) 255's either... people upgrade to that or supercar pumps

    Steve can build a great engine. He did my long block with a Boss block. Came out to 304cid. Over 650rwhp with the YSi @ 19psi.

  • yeah this run was with the 327 in it. I just put 373 in it last week but I have to shim it again that was my first try kicked my butt lol

  • I can't say its the cause of these problems, but you do need one. The Ford GT pump draws a lot of current, and can cause your FPDM to overheat and shutdown the pumps. You can get them at lethal performance, and they are easy to swap out (FPDM is inside the trunk).

  • So I found out that three of my injector harnesses were not all the way on. I think that fixed my problem!!

  • Just an update it wasnt the harness, I had bad sparkplugs!!!

  • No I dont. I do have a Wide band commander though. I really need to get it tuned right.

  • If you read all of the posts you will see that I put on here that I am having fuel issues. I dont know why but it ran awesome when I first got it installed. I live in GErmany and dont have a dyno shop here. I think I am running into a fuel issue. seems like it hits a wall when I get up around that MPH I need toget it back to the USA to check it out or find a shop here in GErmany

  • what spark plugs are you running and at what cap?easy way to find out if ur running lean is install a wideband,i just did a AEM wideband and a steering column mount,fucking love it to death! i would try that,i cutt and welded it into the xpipe so i got both banks on 1 reading.what is ur fuel system

  • Thanks, it runs like shit though. It cuts out at about 4k like it is starving for fuel. I dont know what is the problem? I cant find a Dyno shop in Germany to fix it so I will have to wait until I get back to USA.
