I can't believe that people really are offended by the video, Ridgestone Church gave me the chance to find god and bring him into my life. Isn't the point GOD and worship so if comedy and song is the way we do church then the people who have a problem should find another place to worship. But you do need to give it a chance before you judge!!

I live in Canton and go to church in Cartersville. Our motto is..."NO MORE BORING CHURCH". I think it's awesome. God has a sense of humor, after all, we were created in his image. And God made butts too. Great job church, just think, heaven will be even more fun!!!

Maybe some of the people criticizing this video should look around and wonder why their Church is not growing. Although the Butts are a little much the video is meant in fun and may reach people that traditionally would not attend church. I attend a Contemporary Church in Canton and have visited Ridgestone. I feel bad for those people who will stand before God and have to explain why they let their denominational rules keep them from reaching the unchurched.

what does it matter what a pastor shows his church. this video was made to remind MEMBERS that the service would be in the morning rather than at night. those members are going nowhere and if you are truly offended and feel like calling fire down from heaven, then know that the video wasn't made for you. we have couches in the sanctuary where i go to church...is that wrong too?

there was this guy a hundred years ago named hudson taylor. he was one of the first missionaries to china. he believed that the way to reach the chinese was to look like them, talk like them, and yes even act like them("i have become all things to all men, so that i might save some 1 cor. 9:22). the result was hundreds of thousands of chinese coming to know Christ and today, many mission organizations in China continue to take on this mold. this is what RSC is doing by engaging the culture.

the video is intended to get "butts" into the seats. Once in those seats, rest assured the message is all about Christ. How many pastors do you know that would go to these lenghts to reach the "un-churched".

If the whole idea is to simply "get butts into the seats", why not go a step further? Offer everyone attending a beer and a sandwich-they'll pack the house. Whatever you "win" people with-that's what it will take to keep them. Comparing Hudson Taylor to a pastor that will "go to these lenghts (sic)" -not quite the same. We actually do offer coffee, hot chocolate, juice, and chai tea every Sunday morning. And we have seperate places for all of the youth to attend where they receive the good word without being bored.
