I don't think England and Germany will meet in the group stages. If England comes second in their group, which is possible as they rarely play their best in the group stages, Germany will be able to alter their gameplan in order to avoid them. A meeting so early on wouldn't help either team, especially Germany, who've got a tough group anyway.
