When I become a parent I won't be bothered by my child's sexuality. It doesn't make them any worse of a person just because of who they love. I think that it is awful for parents to kick a child out just because of who they are. You gave some pretty good advice. I'm a christian & I find the bible confusing sometimes but the overall message is love. My pastor's daughter is gay and her parents still love her. I believe if my child was gay I would be hurt at 1st bc a parent has all these dreams of their child doing typical male/female things. @TheMrSpartanking Why shouldn't straight guys be able to? Don't we consider heteros as "normal" sexuality? Also, gays should be able to be what they are where ever they are and not be judged at all. We're all the same we just have different needs. If we want to kiss the one we love or hold their hand or marry them or do anything with them in public, we should be able to, we all have rights gays and straights alike. Just because we have different needs doesn't mean were not human or not the same.
I'm gay but last year I told my parents and grandmother I'm bisexual last year. My parents still have it in their heads that their daughter is going to have a husband and children someday. Funny enough, my seven year old brother knows I'm gay somehow and my 75 year grandmother is fine with whoever I marry. I'm going to tell them in one of my first three years of high school.

So... I'm bi. My parents don't hate gay people (we've just gone back from a gay wedding actually) but still I don't feel like telling them. We were just never that close. I mean, yes, we love each other and have fun but.. I've never really shared secrets with them, 'cause... every time I did tell them personal stuff, I always regretted it. I didn't want them to know. I felt they misunderstood everything and I disliked the way they reacted to it.. I'm not sure why. Guess I'll tell them later...

When I become a parent I won't be bothered by my child's sexuality. It doesn't make them any worse of a person just because of who they love. I think that it is awful for parents to kick a child out just because of who they are. In my eyes thats saying that all the years before the child came out were a lie and the parents never truly loved them or accepted who the child truly is.

You gave some pretty good advice. I'm a christian & I find the bible confusing sometimes but the overall message is love. My pastor's daughter is gay and her parents still love her. I believe if my child was gay I would be hurt at 1st bc a parent has all these dreams of their child doing typical male/female things. But I would get over the shock and love my child that I brought into the world.

My parents read a horrifying log of mine recently.. It wasn't a choice, but I wasn't careful enough. It was really rough the first weeks, and my mom was often sad/dad raged.. if I was 18 or so I would have been kicked out.. but for now I stay a teenager and confirm if this is true to me or not.. I'm not going to hurt anyone else in the process.. at least not physically. I can't chance what they think of me.. so I decide to just live with it. and it's getting better. It really is. (:

@TheMrSpartanking Why shouldn't straight guys be able to? Don't we consider heteros as "normal" sexuality? Also, gays should be able to be what they are where ever they are and not be judged at all. We're all the same we just have different needs. If we want to kiss the one we love or hold their hand or marry them or do anything with them in public, we should be able to, we all have rights gays and straights alike. Just because we have different needs doesn't mean were not human or not the same.

I'm gay but last year I told my parents and grandmother I'm bisexual last year. My parents still have it in their heads that their daughter is going to have a husband and children someday. Funny enough, my seven year old brother knows I'm gay somehow and my 75 year grandmother is fine with whoever I marry. I'm going to tell them in one of my first three years of high school.

I am Bi and extremely proud of it...but am to scared told my parents about it. My parents are extremely christian and I am an bisexual, gay pride, agnostic individual. My parents will kick me out on the street if they find out.

@music87wch try getting someone like a counseller who can help but my advice really is if they are super homophobic.. (or biophobic i suppose) then try really hard to keep your feeling to yourself as long as you can but of course theres no way you can wait 4 years so just tell them and I wish you the best of luck xx
