No offense intended, but I've traveled through N'Olreans a couple of times and just driving throug town (on I 10) I found it to be a creepy, creepy town. But I'd still love to visit instead of just passing thru.
The Supernatural is a part of our universe and science that we are just barely begining to understand. There is so much more to discover in this area. Thanx for putting this video on!
Once when I lived in NOLA, I saw an old house on River Road. It was a three story house with a winding staircase. The roof was falling in, but it was huge,a real antebellum house. We thought we heard ghosts in the back yard, but it was someone living in the servant's quarters.
I was there one day when they were cleaning out the bones from some mausoleums. When all the relatives die, they just dump the skeletons and make room for more dead people.
Not exactly, in New Orleans we do not dump the skeletons. We remove the corpse from the old coffin and store it in the vault below the tomb or mausoleum to make room for the newly deceased. Now we do dump the old coffins.
I did not know there was a vault below the mausoleum. I thought that was the purpose of the mausoleum, so one could be buried above the ground where water could not damage the corpse. I saw them taking the old skeletons out.
The main purpose of a above ground tomb in New Orleans area is to stop coffins from floating down the street in a flood. I did witness this during hurricane Katrina in the flood. I saw one family had two coffins in the front yard of their home.
yea its because they don't have enough room to bury them in the ground, and when it floods the bodys wash up. So, they have to make room by taking the other bodys out and replacing
Is death really the end? it seems so. All concerned with the SELF is obliterated. (I have never seen a ghost, except when I was little and then it turned out to be a sheet draped over a chair in the morning.)
I have a question, why is it louisana? And not somewhere like new york or some really populated place? ALOT of people get killed in the city (but in the country back then there was those race hate killings) but my point is, why don't ghosts haunt people in the city and more in suburban areas?
Hi! Really like haunted mansions is a really cool vid!I'm trying to write a story of a haunted mansion on Louisiana and I want to a least know if one of this house is near a mall or a least near some where I wish you could help me really
love the video!! I'd love to have any of the houses....were there actually human bones there in one of the pictures...it was a broken down crypt....what do you think?
I would too its the mystery of the place. and there is really nothing to be afraid of. they were once people too. you should try talking to them its really great.
it was just the hurrican that did that omg u actually thin that that is haunted just because its old and some parts of that house broken and because there is a grave open stupi stupid stupid
Those aren't "parts of a house that are broken" tard. The house in the beginning,Nottaway Plantation,is far upriver from New Orleans. Those were of old NO cemetaries.
Just thought I'd mention Nottoway Plantation is haunted. My daughter saw a spirit run into the run down building on the grounds. In the broad daylight.
Why, the plantations/mansions are survied Katrina because they were built on high ground 150 years ago, long before leeve systems. If that is what you mean.
If you like that one, check out my other video Haunted Mansions of Louisiana II. I live here in Louisiana and I love to take pictures and videos of all the plantations in the area.
These are Real Haunted Mansions of Louisiana. See my video Haunted Mansions of Louisiana part II. In that video is the Myrtles Plantation know to be the most Haunted Mansion in the United States.
bit rude to open someone graves O.o what a losers who opened those graves.. the ghost didnt lol, cause it would be possible to fly through it xD (note: ectoplasm)
Louisiana is the bomb. New Orleans is freaky. You can see ANYTHING there..literally..be prepared! I was born in Louisiana, lived in a few other states, but eventually moved back to Louisiana. There is no culture like Cajun. The food is fabulous!
did you guys know that i louisiana there are hotels that you can stay at for a vacation. and those hotels are haunted. I went there one time to acctually see if it was really haunted and i saw a ghost!!! I was so damn scared.
Louisiana is beautiful. Such an interesting and exciting state .... the history is incredible, the culture is amazing, the food is the best, and the people are unique and enjoy life to the fullest.
You're tryin to tell me Uptown NO is haunted? Well apparently all the rich folks don't mind..lol
