The dream act shouldn't just be focus on kids especially does who are already here. What about the parents of these kids? What about the adults who immigrated here? What about the youngest one in the family or the oldest one? What about the ones who are to move here in later years? It needs to be focus on everybody, not just education.

Why does The Dream Act apply to people up to the age of 30. They have had 12 years, from the age of 18 to 30, to accept responsibility for their continued presence in the U.S. No one wants to transfer the "sins of the parents" to the children, however, illegal immigration does not have an age requirement.

@CommonSensePeter Who says they will have to pay for colleges? They are minorities and with that said, you mark my words, if we pass this, they will be given even a bigger boost in the form of grants payed for through our taxes than the normal minorities get. The normal minorities will now have to take a back seat to them. I have seen personally how much they get from Social Services. I can see it now, I'm a Dream act Baby, I am more special than other minorities that are special over whites!!!

The playing field needs to be level for all blacks and hispanics to get the same education!! If a minority desires a college education, then our government should give them one!! Mexico is run into the ground and out of control. The government of Mexico is corrupt and unable to help it's people. Their money is so low that they cannot help but to flee to America. Of course Obama wants to pass the Dream Act. Put 2 + 2 together. It allows children who were not prior citizens of the United States to become a citizen simply by living here for a number of years. There you go... then it would not matter where he was born... ha ha

Most Americans agree that we need to get the "Dream Act" passed before the republicans take over!!!! The White House doesnt realize it, but alot of people would like to see this get passed!! My neighbor has 2 gifted sons!! Both were born of undocumented hispanics, but they deserve a chance at a good education!! They are both here trapped between a better life here, nor no life in Mexico, and all through no fault of their own!!!! Millions of people would like this passed!

actually...about 87 per cent were against the dream act or any kind of blanket amnesty for illegals...kids or not.
And yes, they do diserve a chance...right after THEY GET THEIR FUCKING PAPERS!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired of having to get all mushy over others who couldn't get the term "law"

How about this, If all the liberals think that these illegals need our help in staying here try this. Set up a volunteer organization too (Sponsor an illegal) If so many of you are for this then there should be no problem pulling your resources together and letting these people stay in your homes and you giving them work. You with your companion can feed them and cloth them and let them work for you. But that is not what your saying at all, You want a law that makes everyone pay. Not my dime!

@menotsane75 Most of my friends are black, and poor! A few other friends are white, and they seem to have money! Nice homes, family, cats, etc. When in jail, I see almost all of them are black, or hispanic! My white friends do drugs, other things, but nothing ever happens to them. Blacks, on the other hand, they get beat up and go to jail. I sees it, so I know tis true! If it happens in your neighborhood, you know!
