Never play this song with a pick (on bass), it ruins the flow of it. It's supposed to be mellow and cool which a pick can't do.

Wow, that was about as good as a cover gets! Really nice.
I recomend that the bassist fingers instead of picks. While finguring, the bass will be smoother
