  • a hug, an instrument and a puppy... lol

  • My dad is a Sociopath. He left BEFORE my brother was born. My brother IS a Sociopath. It's definitely NOT learned. They say it's not necessarily hereditary, and I guess that's true, because I'm not a Sociopath. But, then again, my Mom isn't a Sociopath, either.... Idk what to think. =\

  • @TheChannyj28 We had a good home life... even though it was just my Mom raising 5 (4 girls, 1 boy) kids on her own. She was a great Mom and I wouldn't trade her for anyone else. Maybe him being the only boy and being w/out a dad helped him along with it?

  • @TheChannyj28 typical statement a psychopathic would say

  • @frisky2dingo Ahhh, thanks. Appreciate it. lol!

  • There is no such thing as being born a psychopath or a psychopathic gene. There is, however a predisposition for psychopathy. Some people are more predisposed to become a psychopath than others. But that doesn't make them psychopaths nor it makes it without a doubt their future. That predisposition is the only genetic link to psychopathy, the rest is environmental. The sociopath, however, is entirely environmental, no genetic predisposition whatsoever.

  • it s absolutely clear to me why these therapies do NOT help. it s bcs the psychopaths r constantly confronted with their "sickness". every time u do trigger the sickness, with every talking session. it s like putting ur finger into a fresh wound all the time, again and again. IT WONT HEAL. u need them to focus on the opposite, showing them "society" behavior if such a thing even exists. get away from the sickness and walk towards HEALTH...damn it, u ppl really make it harder than it is

  • @schnecki07 They say that Sociopaths' are impossible to treat because they WILL NOT tell the truth... you can't fix what you don't acknowledge.

  • the psychopaths do feel emotions very intense, i assure you. but it s more focused on the "giving emotions" process to charm you and make you fall for them. at the same time they can control how much emotion will touch and influence them. their emotional self-control is VERY HIGH and their emotional system is higher developed than with normal ppl. they just know how to use it in order not to feel anything they dont need.

  • @schnecki07 this is true man...

  • @schnecki07 i agree, i can do that- no wonder i never feel stressed before exams etc

  • Dr. Hare's book says that psychopathy has a genetic source while sociopathy has an environmental source. The characteristics are very similar and this research is still in its infancy so there are still a ton of unanswered questions. It is very important to understand the source of these behaviors if a clinician is going to properly treat this condition. @llel11 I also suspect that the gene that is associated with psychopathy will also show up in non-psychopaths but will be recessive.

  • I don't understand the need to find it the product of genetics OR the product of environment. Clearly it can be one or the other, or some combination. It's very lazy of these 'scientists' to want to put it up to genetics. Just the assertion that childhood in a 'third world country' should create psychopathy and the surprise that it doesn't is the heighth of ignorance about what constitutes child abuse. I suspect that once they isolate this 'gene' they are going to find it in non-psychopaths.

  • @llel11

You make some very good points and I'm inclined to agree with your last statement.

  • If they'd been allowed to diagnose psychopathy in children perhaps it would have prevented the torturing to death of that toddler who was taken by those two ten year olds, who now, I believe have been sent here to Australia; as if we're still a dumping ground for criminals. We have enough of our own psychopaths thanks.

Scientists should be looking to isolate the psychopath gene so that tests can be done in early pregnancy and nip it in the bud, so to speak.

  • If you see a psychopath improve from therapy then question your original diagnosis. You can't counsel the spots off a leopard or improve eyesight in a person born without eyeballs.

  • that guy at 2:40 is wrong

  • @kenobr how so

  • Comment removed

  • @kenobr

You know more than a dedicated specialist in his field? please enlighten us all.

  • @30Ciaran

I never said that I did

I just know that not all people are born with the disorder and I know this from the specialists I have spoken to and who diagnosed me

  • @kenobr no he isn't YOU are.

  • @evelsteev

Well why don't you just go fuck yourself IT IS VERY SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND YOU STUPID RETARD SOME PEOPLE ARE BORN WITH THE DISORDER SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT that guy is wrong he was merely expressing his personal opinion, not proven fact

Look at the life of Adolf Hitler he wasn't born a physcopath he developed it because of the way his father abused him and the rough childhood he had

How the fuck are my wrong you absolute fucking moron

  • @kenobr Has it ever occurred to you that Hitler could have BOTH been a psychopath AND abused as a child? Are YOU a pyschoanalyst? Because if you're not, then your simply FULL OF SHIT.

  • @evelsteev It would be silly for someone to say that all people who are physcopaths are just born that way I have spoken to many specialists like the person In the video at 2.40 who have just as much experience and a majority of them don't believe that ALL physcos are born with the disorder However as I have said countless times already I believe some people are born with it but not all are if you can find me evidence otherwise then i'll believe you

    okay.

  • @kenobr is it silly to say some is born with autism? No. Your specialists didn't develop the checklist, as well as the fact they don't work with the same scanning equipment as the specialist above. Whatever people "believe" is not the same thing as actual research and PROOF. There's your problem right there. You need to know the difference. Besides, the scanning device in the video, is not "belief." It's evidence.

  • @evelsteev

I honestly don't give a righteous fuck anymore

  • @kenobr That's wonderful. But guess what: facts and evidence will always outweigh mere opinion and speculation.

  • @kenobr Millions of kids are abused but almost all don't grow up to be criminals. By the way your just stating an opinion just like this therapist. No reason to cuss at everyone and act like a child.

  • @TheMightykaz I honestly don't give a righteous fuck anymore

  • So maybe there can be remediation for psychopaths if they receive the correct intervention early enough when their brains are still elastic enough to grow new connections.

  • Dr. Hare describes the psychopath's brain scan differences as looking like they may have processing disorders similar to dyslexia. Instead of problems learning to read, of decoding language, the psychopath's processing disorder is in decoding human emotional, nonverbal communication. But there is a window of opportunity for teaching children to read. That window is age 5-10 years old. If kids get the right reading instruction (multisensory, explicit, intensive, 1 to 1, they can read as adults.

  • anyone can manipulate, not nesessarily a psychopath, it's incredibly easy to do so. all babies learn this technique, i got better at it tho. i could detect them easily. this is a joke.

  • @unwantedshit Psychopathy is not just about manipulation. It's a complex mental condition where the individual has not conscience. They feel no remorse over things they do to others and in society.

  • @peetred why is conscience needed? its just a polite word to use by cowards. It is only a pointless obstacle that no one needs.Grandmother died yesterday and i could see all the idiots praying and crying, it was really pointless to watch them, but i was stuck with them. And what a boring ritual it was, the lady is already dead, whats the need for doing all that?

  • @unwantedshit If you really want an answer to your question ask yourself why is a conscience needed and actually look for reasons. The people you saw crying weren't crying for her they cried because they lost someone they cared for and it hurt them. You apparently have no emotions that you admit to, so you either lack the empathy to understand, which makes you kind of retarded, or you're lying and are just repressing your emotions because they scare you, and it makes you feel superior.

  • @omegasher why would i need to lie to any of you about that? you are unimportant to me. I know why people would say they need a conscience, but it's just just doesn't seem useful to me to have it. i do have emotions, i feel content at times. and i am superior.

  • @unwantedshit it's yourself you would be lying to if that were the case. It's just one option , there may be others. either way if you truly want to understand other peoples emotions you may want to be open to feeling some other than contempt.
