  • Very cool, very helpful. I just transferred over from using reason. I understand all the theories for the "why", just haven't been able to get all the "how's" yet.

  • Thanks! I've been tearing my hair out trying to get the fx channels working in Cubase LE5 and this video sorted it for me!

  • Thanks so much that was great!

  • Hey men! Great video! I have one question.I want to put the fx only in one part of the channel. Maybe with a small fade in and fade out. Can I modify it from FX Channel too? And if yes how?

  • Forget it men. I Found it :)!!! Thanks again!

  • Thanks Harold! Awesome!

  • cubase for cowboys... awesome

  • grate tutorial i was sending my reverb at about 20% and i was like why is it just getting louder and i dont hear the effect. Very helpful video thanks alot.

  • This video did help me a lot, Tnx :) Small question; what screen capture program do you use for recording this video?

  • Thanks guv.

  • thank yyou very much

    !

  • very helpful thanks

  • Thanks sir, you're awesome!

  • i know this is a VERY noob question but.. how do i control my " Hi's , Mids, lows, Etc"?

  • where should i set the FX channel fader? i noticed when i set it higher, it adds volume to master channel. It seems like adding verb this way adds another variable ( FX channel fader volume) to deal with. Also, the more channels you send to the FX channel to get your verb for different things, like vocals, guitar etc....the higher you have to set the FX fader? its this volume adjustment on FX channel (where it should be) that i dont understand.

  • thanx, man! good explaining!

    greets from holland!

  • Fantastic, i had been trying to figure this exact thing for hrs because my vocals kept getting louder when i add it reverb and its because i had it at 60% wet thank you so much

  • thanks for the tips it was really helpful

  • very good tut

  • great tutorial, very well explained cheers :-)

  • good video regarding fx... Is there a way in cubase sx, to take a stereo drum loop and split it up. EXAMPLE: from that stereo drum loop I want the snare on a seperat track, the hi hats on a seperate track, the kik on a seperate track, etc... etc. I had seen this done on a cubase sx seminar many years ago and did not take the proper time to learn how to do it.

  • how do you add an effects channel to a vst instrument? the send dropdown doesn't show my effects channel

  • cubase is all new to me but im getttint there slowly, your video is very helpful, just one question......... when i add an effects track and go to edit the channel, there is no sends slots visible, ive gone into track settings, sends has a tick next to it to say they visible but they arent visible so i cant control the effect via sends in fx channel, is there something im doing wrong... i use cubase le4 by the way, hey if you can hola back dude, its driving me mad lol

  • Your tuts are good but you have the cam too near to the monitor and you move stuff around way too much. Very confusing.

  • great video, you literally saved me throwing my laptop out of the window

  • howdyu add verb to just 2 bars? can it remember to do that? dyu just have to make new tracks with send to verb for 2 bars?

  • Great Tutorial, Many thanks

  • I would like to add a FX channel which contains amp sim and impulse loader, and send it to my tracks. But, when I do that the gain also increases and that's what I don't want to happen. i just want to send effects to my track without boosting. How should I do that? Thanks

  • @elaith9 That's because there is still "dry" signal in the effect. I can't remember off the top of my head if there is a mix knob on the amp sim but if there is it should be %100 wet...if it isn't available then you will have to either 1) mix it the hardway or 2) insert the fx on the channels individually.

  • great video!!

  • Hi.

    i have got cubase 5.

and how come in the Reverb section i haven't got Roomworks SE?

  • Hey man, I just wanted to let you know how helpful this video was. I racked youtube to find some hints to the fx problem I was having (in Nuendo 4, which is close enough to Cubase) and you solved it on the dot. Thanks so much!

  • thanks for the tips.

which way is less cpu intensive?

my computer is not the best

  • Adding the FX channel then using the sends per channel to feed the FX.

  • thanks dude

  • @HaroldNixon ... thank you very much ... great lesson

  • @HaroldNixon yeah, using send is only one plugin with multiple tracks routing to it. Using insert is one plugin per instance, which is more CPU intensive
