  • fuck the police

  • genious

  • and blow their minds.

  • Careful with that axe, Eugene... (or "careful with that pole Daria")

  • pink floyd bring me here

  • Back in the seventies I bought Z Point by mail order not even knowing it was a movie. It had Floyds name on it. That was enough. I wondered for years where or what Z Point was. Some 7 years later I was doing a solo road trip in the US desert in the middle of Summer and stopped for a piss in the Nevada heat and initially I didnt even look at the old rusty bullet riddled sign that I was pissing on. It was only when I stepped away that I realised that my question had been answered.

  • @chanctonbury63 Except for the fact that it's in California, not Nevada. You must have been pretty off track. But hey, I'm not knocking you, I got lost out in the very same dunes this film was made in WITHOUT any water! I'm just happy to still be alive!

Pink Floyd also drove me to this film. I would bet that many people's story.

  • @sex6cult9revolution 9 mths late...I dont recall where the state line was/is. This was 1980! All i remember is the sign and the view.

  • oh yeah thats how u use a pink floyd song ;)

  • "how you get there, depends on where you're at"...I mean, in fact that IS true. not seeing the deep meaning there lol

  • a masterpice !!!!!!!!

  • if pink floyd was involved in it... then i gotta watch it!

  • @moham7ad sure,dude!

  • the movie is visually beautiful and there are are a few sublime moments but mostly it is pretty bad. horrible acting and dialogue.

  • oh my god. Mark Frechette. What a babe.

  • You'd be better off to watch the trailer than the movie.

  • Ha Ha Ha! "How you get there depends on where you're at" is perhaps one of the worst taglines I've ever heard, mostly because it is grammatically incorrect. At any rate, it means the way a person gets to any given point depends on where the person starts the journey.

  • @teeckard but it does matter, it's a movie, art, what ever you want to call it. So what if it break rules that's what art is about :)

  • @teeckard that's kind off logical isn't it? if i travel from australia to new york would get me a whole different journey than if i'd travel from washington to new york... right?

  • @teeckard Dude, it's hippy slang. Cool out maaaan.

  • @teeckard Possibly one of the most clueless comments in the history of YouTube. I suggest you stay clear from all counterculture films.

  • I'm italian..I cannot translate "how you get there, depends on where you're at" what does it mean?

  • @raccatacca "How you get there, depends on where you're at." = " Come ci arrivi, dipende da dove sei."

  • I like Antonioni but I think a few people would know this film without Floyd's soundtrack

  • The movie is unfortunately not half as good as the trailer.

  • min.0:23 "Zabriskie Point : Where a boy and a girl meet, touch and blow their minds"

    Fu%$in awesome tagline...

  • inspiring countless people to lose their virginity to Pink Floyd. (The music that is, not the actual band members)

  • @embeleshow band would be much better ;)

  • @embeleshow

    YEAH!

  • but the only films to which pinkfloyd gave music to are la vallee and more

  • @Napoleon476 You could also include The Wall

  • 30 listopada 2010r. godz. 18.00 kino Forum Białystok zaprasza na pokaz klasyka kina ZABRISKIE POINT

  • long live pink floyd songs:D

  • your right, but it reminds me of careful with that axe

  • @brunic11

its a reworking of the song in e major chord...

  • you mean the song played in this video right now?? this is careful with that axe Eugene from ummagumma

  • no careful with that axe eugine is different this song is Come In Number 51, Your Time Is Up its on the Zabriskie Point Album

  • This is an alternate version they made for the film it is called "Come In Number 51, Your Time Is Up". I perfer the film version, much louder :D

  • is that first track Come in Number 51, Your Time is Up? by Pink Floyd, it's so intense, but i'm not sure exactly what it is despite probably saying it and going to look for it now

  • F@#$ yeah! I've been listening to the album for so long and i never looked up the actual film. Have to say, Lovescene Version 4 is one of my favorite piano solo's. I'm almost afraid of the tainting of my perception towards the album.

    pink floyd forever and ever

  • @bloveslove Well, got the soundtrack album on CD and they just released the film on DVD last year for the 1st time ever. Great movie. Best of all time!

  • saw a screening with a brand spanking new print in NYC a year ago and it blew my mind. the fact that this isn't Criterion-released and in every art film lovers collection is beyond me.

  • the film is better than the trailer

it broke the bank for MGM

the producer was Carlo Ponti the husband of Sophia Loren

  • wow great trailer

where a boy... and a girl... meet... and touch... and bloooow their minds...

  • @jrftemuco yes!

  • This trailer is amazing !

That contrast between real love and violence...

    Beautiful.

  • I download this movie just for the music, but it seems a good movie

  • u jebote!

  • how you get there depends on where you are at..

  • Is this like Punishment Park?

  • Ham & Bacon.

  • What a great bloody trailer. OMG!
