Well, there are probably different rules for different sort of Tunas, but they are not always followed. Tunas need to live for several years(3-8 or so) before being able to reproduce. Fishing them before they... mate for the good sake of their own tuna sort of survival-reproduction, further increase the rate at which they are diminishing.

@mjmoto72 I say it is sustainable having spent most of my adult life on the ocean. Along with my father who has spent his whole life at sea. American Albacore is certified sustainable by MSC standards as well. We only catch our target species no waste, we use hooks and hand lines to catch our fish no nets. You need to think in a heartless way to produce the greatest good, put your emotions aside and use logic. Grain, rice, potatoes and even bugs are good, cheap sources of food, and are easily replenished. Greenpeace gets my donations because they are simply logical and producing the most good.
The average philipino gets $1AUD a day. The mens wives have to sell their bodys to support themselves and their families. The guys have to work hard hard labour in 40 degrees heat and 24/7. Its back breaking work. Taiwan is rich as hell from what I have seen. Who ever takes the fish is just a rich person getting richer. But the Philipines and few countries around it genuinloy need the fish and not waste anything.

Greepeace is doing a great job. What people need to understand is the fact that pirate fishing is robbing. When companies fish without a lisence, the stock is in real danger. Commercial and ecological sound fishing is all about maximising the yield from any given stock, without taking out to much fish and risking a collapsing stock. Piracy fishing is not registered and it is simple theft of resources. One day the sea is going to be empty if we all were going to behave like this...

perhaps they use plastic, but perhaps in order to get there message out in a way which they can afford with there funding this is the only option they can use without expending too much of their effort on making sure all there things are eco friendly. that is part of what they are campaigning for, so that it will be the social norm for everything to be environmentally sustainable. so the use of plastic in minuscule amounts is a small cost to what they want to bring in the future.
I recently watched a video showing a plastic banner laid by greenpeace that was big enough to go across a nuclear power plant smoke stack. Is that small? And what about the time greenpeace put that huge plastic banner across that one bridge? And When they put all those huge banners across and by that one mining site. Those were big. AND, once upon a time greenpeace did not give the Sea Shepherd organization the coordinates to the japanese whaling fleet. People should protest against greenpeace.

Well, there are probably different rules for different sort of Tunas, but they are not always followed. Tunas need to live for several years(3-8 or so) before being able to reproduce. Fishing them before they... mate for the good sake of their own tuna sort of survival-reproduction, further increase the rate at which they are diminishing.

American Albacore is certified sustainable by MSC standards as well. We only catch our target species no waste, we use hooks and hand lines to catch our fish no nets. The average philipino gets $1AUD a day. The mens wives have to sell their bodys to support themselves and their families. The guys have to work hard hard labour in 40 degrees heat and 24/7. Unfortunately, it's survival of the fittest. My wife is filipino and I understand how desperate it is, but we gotta avoid destroying the environment at any cost. You can't rebuild life once it's gone, and we have lots of humans to go around. It's not that fish>people, it's Earth>Groups of people. Just because the filipino are starving, doesn't mean we should destroy the chance for future people to have fish\healthy earth. The poor need to be helped in another way.

Greepeace is doing a great job. What people need to understand is the fact that pirate fishing is robbing. When companies fish without a lisence, the stock is in real danger. Commercial and ecological sound fishing is all about maximising the yield from any given stock, without taking out to much fish and risking a collapsing stock. Piracy fishing is not registered and it is simple theft of resources. One day the sea is going to be empty if we all were going to behave like this...

perhaps they use plastic, but perhaps in order to get there message out in a way which they can afford with there funding this is the only option they can use without expending too much of their effort on making sure all there things are eco friendly. that is part of what they are campaigning for, so that it will be the social norm for everything to be environmentally sustainable. so the use of plastic in minuscule amounts is a small cost to what they want to bring in the future.

I recently watched a video showing a plastic banner laid by greenpeace that was big enough to go across a nuclear power plant smoke stack. Is that small? And what about the time greenpeace put that huge plastic banner across that one bridge? And When they put all those huge banners across and by that one mining site. Those were big. AND, once upon a time greenpeace did not give the Sea Shepherd organization the coordinates to the japanese whaling fleet. People should protest against greenpeace.

i see a lot of videos about stopping commercial fishing, lot of types of commercial fishing are getting out of hand , but have you seen any greenpeace videos base on water quality for these fish, runoff, chemicals, and feces are polluting the water fish need to survive in , why no vids on this, because it won't help stop commercial fishing which is #1 priority, lot of people , businesses donate money each year to end this, none donate to find somewhere besides a river or sound for our shit to go
