It is incredibly sad that this grassroots movement, which started out with little bloodshed, turned into what it eventually did. The Soviet counsels were an incredible example of direct democracy, people having real control over their lives. However the struggle between them and the provisional government led to the rise of all the foul aspects that would become the Soviet Union for decades to come. It is an incredibly complex topic deserving of more than 500 characters.
and by the way I'm not a communist or belong to any doctrine in particular, I'm just a human being who would for once like to see us rise above arguments about which babylonian ideology is the best because they all have their assets and flaws, it is left up to us to be vigilant and prefer the wellbeing of the whole over selfish ends
I find it funny how many people slam communism while at the same time if you look at a country who are captialist and democratic like the united states you can find people sleeping in the streets starving to death. While the gap between rich and poor widen you really wonder how many more people will lose everything if theres another recession but you know communism is so bad grrrr it upsets me well i really can't wait for a global depression and watch how many of you people beg for change.

Through policies of nationalization and wage increases along with public infrastructure projects he brought Chile's economy out of depression. I also agree with your view on democracy, however in the case of Allende his overthrow was an unjust intervention. Even though he was very far left, he was hardly of the Soviet breed, and a socialist in a broad sense rather than a communist. He was no threat to his people, nor was he a threat to the world.
