@Wogiboi Correct, Oz should really add the Israeli Namer IFV to it's arsenal to either replace the obsolete M113, or supplement it, which is exactly what Israel did after a few recent hard lessons that taught them the M113 is not up to the task of modern warfare, especially regarding mine protection. It's too light weight.

Jordan, Egypt & Saudi Arabia are far more well equipped than they were 40 years ago, apart from their internal tensions which would weaken their ability to wage war, for the present at least. But threats from Turkey are also on the radar now. Lets just say that Israel would be on their own without the US, and they'd still put up one hell of a fight, imho.

D3v1lsuck's credibility is also destroyed with him getting the numbers of the tanks wrong (59 it is) and thinking that they are supposed to be guarding our nation's borders. Were a bloody island nation, they are meant for deployment. Australian defence is based on the fact that we have air and naval superiority over our neighbours. No one would ever even get the chance to land troops.

Australia has currently 21 abrams tanks deployed in afghanistan. They are being subject to removal from afghan though.
