I dont know about the sickest shit ever but its damn good because no one else sings like chris and you cant forget the legendary group that Chris Cornell my 4th favorite singer of this time period is singing with the GREAT EDDIE VEDER # 2 on my list, # 1 Shannon Hoon "Keep on dreamin' boy cause when you stop dreaming its time to die" RIP all of the Legends that made my childhood and teen years amazing by embracing the fact that they were different and embracing it and Loving it. I Live like them
Skip through the graveyard at night, lonely again. (Aramis Deceives) TJ sidestreets looking for another stolen motorcycle. That's an "added to" long list of gave aways.
@DeuceMackey no indie bands killed musicianship and at the same bringing a new meaning to the word "worthless" . thanks to them girls want sensitive guys with tight pants
I disagree. Musicianship was bascially sterile by that time. Rendered as a parody of itself. The Warrants, Brttany Foxes of the world made music lifeless. Something needed to kick rock on its ass. Other than Kurt, most bands could actually play the instruments. The songs just didn't need solos. It's kinda what Punk did to stadium rock in the late 70's. The circle will always repeat. Now guitar solos are back. When redundant, they will die again. Least thats how I see it.
@AzWicker1, I agree. I think pop punk is the contemporary equivalent to the '80s pop metal scene. I predict next year will mark the death-knell when something truly raw comes out.
I can't stand a lot of the new bands who claim their music is heavy when it's only hard at best. There will come a point when people realize that Pro Tools takes away from the unbridled energy of recording rock music in analogue format.
A lot of new bands try too hard to advertise themselves as heavy and melodic.
grunge killed musicianship??? sorry, but Soundgarden musically was a very complex band who played complex parts in very odd time signatures....Matt Cameron(who played in SG, PJ, and here in Temple of the Dog) is one of the more technically proficient drummers of the last 20 years....get a clue...
I think this groove is 7/4, but is writable in 7/8 (but not cut-time by 12/8 because 12/8 got the triplets and he's a classic blues groove - ta.ta.ta-ta.ta.ta-ta.ta.ta-ta.ta.ta)
@awsomeking5 You gotta be fuckin deaf or something 'cause this song is plain AWESOME. Ever payed attention to the drums here? Matt Cameron is at his best!
Same. I've grown up listening to a lot of grunge like green river, mudhoney, temple of the dog. I feel like it's apart of me to continue excellent music that has meaning.
really? cuz Temple of the Dog only came out with 1 album as a tribute to their friend that died that led Mother Love Bone. It was made up of members from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. So if you grew up on them that must make you like 15 right
@gamlovesjohnnydepp3 hahaha i was just watching Benny & Joon (not finished watching it yet) and I came here to look for this after hearing the song :D
