Excellent ! The only thing I would do different is use 19" wheels on both and reverse rear cylinder (You Tube video of one on here) to have dual carbs...
One of these flew past me in the 1980's. I will never forget it. Scared the shit out of me. I was riding a 1973 superglide down a back road near my parents house. Never saw him coming. This guy passed me like I was standing still. I did get a chance to meet him (a few days later at the local store)and check out the bike closeup. That was the only time I ever saw one. (on the road):-)I guess they only made a very limited number of street legal versions for a few years? 750 & 1000??

The best HD ever, should go back in production to compete against Triumph & Norton's Kenny Dreer idea.

It's not a XR1000..........
jumpcutkiller 2 years ago
Check the comments... it's an Ironhead... what would you prefer me to call it?
828cc 2 years ago
@828cc I would call it an ironhead Sportster plain and simple. XR-750 tank and seat does not make it a flattracker either.
matsoberg1 1 month ago
How do you reduce 883cc to 828cc? And why would you want to? I know it's not an XR750. Typo maybe? Like the helmet.
qooky86 2 years ago
The bike's based on a 1000cc 1981 iron head, 828cc is the capacity of a Norton Commando which you'll see in some of my other vids. Cheers, Anth :-)

Sweet bike. Btw, did you use Storz Performance for the rear fender? Or is it all handmade?
evel74 2 years ago
It's a Storz seat/fender but I've never found out who made the tank. Cheers, Anth :-)

how did you get it to look like that? what did you change on it and how easy are the parts to come by?....damn good looking bike ..great job
smudgey6120 3 years ago
It's mainly seat, tank and pipes and throw away all the sportster bits that aren't necessary :-)

This isn't a real one sadly, she's based on an iron head '81 Sportster with a big Amal carb and open mega's :-) Anth.

Great machine! I imagine they are fairly rare.

They were the shortest mega's I could find, they look loads better than the straight pipes that used to be on it. Cheers, Anth :-)
