Nice. First concert I ever went to, in Kansas City. He was great, but said he was depressed. The fans loved him though, and he said it lifted him. Later he wrote a song titled 18th Street Kansas City or something like that, about being depressed. He had a powerful voice, a full sound even without anyone backing him. I listened to an radio interview a few years ago, did not know what to expect. He seemed to be just a likable guy, a regular guy.
