@SassyCathy22 - Loops are nothing on rollercoasters! If you can do a forward somersault then you could definitely go around a loop. It may feel a little weird the first time you ride it because of the forces you're feeling, but honestly loops are nothing to be scared of :)

@SassyCathy22 What you can do is sit in the middle and then, keep your head back and look up and forward like you are trying to see what is coming next WAY before doing it!!! and stare at the other cars of the train!!!!!! that helps to!!! BUT let me warn you once you get hooked on loops that's it, there is nothing like it, you will want MORE MORE AND MORE Trust me you will love it!!!!

@GooseAnimatics The coaster is modeled after a typical wooden coaster that you would find at a amusement park located at or near a pier. I believe the coaster that California Screamin' gives a nod to is the Giant Dipper coaster that is located at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Why it is a steel coaster that looks like a wooden one, the coaster is located within a residential zone of Anaheim. Certain restrictions had to be met.

i remember this ride would launch randomly but with problems with people waving to there family/friends on the side and then hitting them selves on the head when it launched, now they are forced to count down. (that is my guess i am not 100% sure why they do that)

A Trim brake is a brake in the ride to slow the train down.

Prior to 2005 the ride didn't have any breaks to slow the train down until the end of the ride. But after an accident in 2005 they added two sets of trim brakes (right before the loop and bunny hills ) which slow the train down. The end result is the loop is not as forceful as it use to be and the strong airtime that use to be felt in the bunny hills is now almost completely gone.

A train over shot block break 6 (2:02) and bumped a train in block break 7 (2:15). No one was seriously hurt. But the accident happened 2 years after the Big Thunder Mountain accident, so it caused the ride to close for a couple of months. And during the time it was closed Trims were added to the ride.

The accident was caused by faulty air valve that controlled the breaks in block break 6.
