  • sounds so damn warm i love it.

  • killer stuff!!!

  • Dope beat man!

  • you record on a reel to reel tape machine? any recommendations for a cheap model on ebay, that sounds good? what about the speed of the tape, how importanat is that? i'm not looking for a high end sound, just the vintage feeling.

  • @phthalocyanine4 the Revox reel to reel machines are a great choice, they are rugged and sound great :)

  • the turning of the reels has something calming

  • I've felt in love to your music, and gear!!! Big ups man!!! I'm about to switch to mpc. Can you tell me if I buy an mpc 60 or mpc 2000 xl, Can I record straight to computer?

  • @Seltronic thanks. if you want to use only one piece of equipment and do all albums on it go for 2000xl. if you want to have some nice instant drums and use some other midi instruments for melodic tracks (like me) go for 60. also if you are more creative (and patient) with having less (like me) go for 60:) good luck.

  • @michal23pl the problem is I don't really have much money haha, and the 60 is cheap as I saw, and also looked the 1000 (found really cheap used ones) . How about to get both (1000 & 60) is it a good combo? What do you think?

  • @Seltronic there's no reason to get both. get 1000 and s950 and you'll have a kinda 2000xl and 60 at the same time for the price of one each:)

  • @michal23pl aah okay! Thnx for the help man! :) I'm kinda new in the "analog world" so far I only used DAW haha

  • Magnifique batterie!!!

  • this kinda style needs to come back to hip hop

  • damn i am in love with this studio

  • good stuff, grimy feel to it

  • Fat, Dirty, Graaaate Relaser!!! Fine!!!

  • very nice man!!! veerry nice!!!

  • How long have you been making music for?

  • @DollaTwo generally about 10 years including computer trackers and alto sax for a while but just a year on mpc.

  • @michal23pl If you don't mind can you tell me what a computer tracker and alto sax are/is?

  • @DollaTwo sure. the first tracker was Fast Tracker 2 running in DOS. then Med tracker if i remember well and then Jeskola Buzz til i bought RM1X as my first hardware sequencer. and then finally MPC 60. alto sax was a cheap Stagg but with a very good Berg Larsen mouthpiece. anyway good enough for beginners.

  • @michal23pl Cool, OK well thanks for the info. I appreciate it

  • Man those drums are something else my brotha. You should produce an album for D'Angelo.

  • Love your drums. As always they sound so well-weighted and polished. Do you take drum samples from libraries or vinyl? Is there a lot of processing over them? What compressors do you use for them?

    Thanx!

  • @SonnieGrey @SonnieGrey Hi. I'm chopping all drum samples from various drum breaks straight from LPs. There's no processing at all and no compression on any stage of chain. just an envelope and tunning adjustment in mpc engine. less is more:)

  • good one

  • oh yes

  • I would love to have your set up and just to have the musical equipment knowladge you got there.

Awesome jam. Kinda a mix between Tycho and DJ Shadow. Awesome!

  • great! mpc fever galore !
