  • Well done! Women Airforce Service Pilots is correct. The WASP were attached to the U.S. Army Air Forces during WWII (previously referred to as the Army Air Corps). When the WAFS (Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron) merged with the WFTD (Women's Flight Training Detachment) they became the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots).

  • Women Auxiliary Service Pilots, and also in WWII it was not the Air Force yet, instead it was a branch of the Army, thus the name Army Air Corps. Great Presentation though!!!!!
