your stride is way too long and your bat drops at the beginning of your swing which locks up your front elbow causing your swing to be long. Also, you should drive your back leg forward and your front leg should lock up.This will help you drive the ball.
first thing i noticed: you dropped the bat head at the beginning of ur swing. maybe start it higher up and just throw ur hands 2 the ball. second thing: you look like ruth and cobb swung when they did with the fact that u got knocked back by the ball when u made contact and it died coming off ur bat. try 2 put on some weight so your strength will make the ball carry. third thing: uve obviously got long legs but try 2 shorten up ur stride a little
Shorten your stride. Look how far your eye level drops from the beginning of the stride to the end. Also, if you "squash the bug" with your back foot, you'll get more power from your lower half.
Not Bad, you should work on a much shorter stride. That long stride of yours forces your head downwards. Work with your Coach on (Loading) & (Shorter Stride).
get the bat more vertical, its too flat and youll lose all ur power unless ur curtis granderson. second dont bring ur hands back behind and below ur shoulder, get them directly to the ball. and you made contact, but im guessing u hit a grounder on that one. make sure u finish high, not across ur body
i'd say this kid has the classic aluminum bat swing it's very loopy but won't cost him considering he has the sweetspot the size of a watermelon when he gets older and starts seeing higher velocity pitching he will be royally screwed
Amazing that you actually come close to good form on contact beings how your head is changing levels throughout your whole swing. Once you start facing decent pitching you won't touch the ball for two reasons: your body is changing level throughout your swing instead of loading your back leg initially, and you've got a really long hand path. Don't wrap the bat behind your head so much. Finally, your front knee needs to lock on contact, not after.
the problem jennings is that this swing just doesn't work... the only prayer this kid has to hitting the ball past an outfielder is the fact that he has great levers, too bad he's a twig.
baseball players, including me, do this when you want to keep the ball on the ground. i had trouble hitting, they were all pop flies, but i was putting weight on my back foot.
get your foot down earlier

Anyone who advocates 'squish the bug' is a liar, serial rapist or a ex-lawyer for Enron

your bat head needs to stay back longer... you need to clear your hips before you bring your bat through the zone. dont drop your hand when you swing

stride is okay, but back shoulder dropped and swung around the ball rather than staying inside of it.

YouTube: (Six Steps to a Great Swing)
Work on these six steps. The "LOAD" part of your swing is missing, and your (STRIDE) is way too long.
