  • Weird we do this kick with the other foot and just call it a back kick. Maybr its a.diffrent kick. Idk

  • I don't think people should be posting these kinds of videos online. People that don't know the principles of Taekwon-Do and self-defence martial arts can mis-use what they learn in these kinds of videos. Some might not understand that things like these are for self-defence purposes only.

I'm just saying that I don't agree to publishing tutorials of doing techniques like this. If people want to learn Taekwon-Do, they should start in a club, where they can learn it properly and safely...

  • @11thbao Well I think if people are learning techniques without discipline they can abuse it.However for people that are at clubs and just want to perhaps refresh their memories or for people like me deciding which martial art they would like to do its not such a bad idea. Only idiots would abuse it though i think.

  • This is like a spinning back kick from Vadha Kempo.

  • imma fight lik huey freeman. ill becum a black ninja lol n im not

  • ima do like hwoarang does

  • He doesn't finish the kick in normal speed...

  • does it hurt if you do a high kick?

  • Wasn't this called the horse kick or something, in early Taekwondo? I saw something similar to it. Only it was off of defense. If someone was front kicking you, you catch the leg and then do this kick. Is this just the modified version?

  • @MetalheadRyan22 it's just a kick to a target that's behind you. (you should NEVER allow any attacker to be behind you but that's what it's for. poorly demonstrated may i add.)

  • @mixed8martial9artist Oh. Thanks :D

  • Why must he always make snake noises when he kicks?

    also, learn to bow.

  • @AngelaSotoTV Those "snake noises" is a speical thecnic material artists use to save stamina its used in MMA

  • He is breathing, because than he can hit better, harder and faster.

  • like i have said before this guy is full of bulshit.

1.this is only good for if your in a street fight and the guy is behind you

    2.he is full of shit

3.the correct way of doing it is to spin and put the leg through as close to your other knee as possible this is so it is undetectible.

4.never turn side ways on this kick this leaves you open to other attacts (unless doing a spinning side kick)

  • Bio: Aaron Fruitstone is a Martial Arts Instructor & Competitor with a 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-Do. I gess it's ITF

my question is, does this guy deserve even having a 1st degree black belt.

  • I hate it when people do crap like this. Should be banned.

  • you shouldn't learn moves from vids you should learn from a master..... and he isn't his balance sucks for a blackbelt he doesn't even completely extends his leg with the kick....

  • he can do the kicks i guess but for a black belt his balance really freaking sucks

  • expert village sux

  • His bow at the end looks really off for some reason...

  • @kaitou55 You are not supposed to make eye contact when you bow, he's disrespected all 90000+ people who have seen this!

  • @RShaw420 Yeah...at least traditional. It looks really off when you make eye contact, it's just weird..haha

  • he should probally have better balance shouldnt he?

  • IDIOT !

  • What's the difference between ITF and WTF?

  • @hollaythevampgurl123

itf is the traditional original style.

in wtf, you are like a dancer jumping around trying to make points just with your legs... stupid olympia...

  • @Paivren Thanks! ITF FTW ;)

  • well last pussy from venezuela got knock the fuck out here in US ....ITF... who cares ITF is not even Olympic style WTF is .... but I guess thats the way ITF guys justified their existance .... coudnt make in WTF so they went to ITF.

  • nope not asian i refuse to listen

  • ill give an A for affort....... but this guy doesnt know what hes doing

  • you dont have that much balance for a martial artist. just an observation, no offense intended.

  • hmm it can be used with half a spin to hit an opponnent in front of you.

anyways I think this guy "opens" the knee too much that is, the knee should stay in the same line with the foot, as if you had a wall sideways (actually most people open it pretty much though...) the kick usually fails when you rotate too much your shoulders along with the spin (not this case) and then it becomes a half rotating kick :P

anyways this kick done properly is the most powerful at all, and quite fast too.

  • me aburres

  • The most interesting part of this video is that.

My TKD teacher is 51 and only a 6th dan.

and hes been doing TKD since he was 14

seems their just giving belts out to people these days

  • no its a side kick but going the other way, a back kick is where u turn and end up kicking the person in front of u with ur back foot backwards, hard to explain, give me a few days and ill post a responce with a back kick, though this video was very precise.

  • I'm curious is that like a turn around back kick?

I'm an orange belt i flippin suck at that kick LOL

  • narani errado

  • gay, its ushiro geri

  • Why cant he keep his balance?

  • Because he sucks!

  • tseee

  • That kick would stop you in your tracks, you have no idea how much it hurts to take a kick like that right to the ribs while you are advancing, it is like having a sledgehammer hit you in the kidney

  • wow so much TKD discrimination... (ITF,WTF)- i wish the two would eventually combined one day... they've talked about it, but i can't see that happening to soon...

  • i do a form of tkd called unified tae kwon do which is supposed to be exactly that, the main guy is master park something he founded it like 30 years go

  • It's GTF Taekwondo you're talking about, I practice it to xD

  • y learn ITF? it makes WTF look bad

  • itf sucks. wtf pwns.

  • LOL, ok if you say so! I see WTF as lazy tkd. The kata are different and when WTF spar the guard goes out of the window. Im ITF so I will think that way but then Ive been training for 9 years.

  • ha you fail village idiot

  • shit this guy should be striped from his belt.

I do WTF for 20 yrs my 5yrs old student kick better then him hehhehe

TONSTERD - thank you for correcting his mistakes earlier.

  • VERY BAD!

  • Oh wow, this guy is really horrible. lmao

  • But it's possible that kick exist . ^^' Or it's tha "simply version" of the true i don't know...

  • I do Taekwondo six hours on the week , i'm blue blet and i think, no i'm sure this kick is wrong. Sorry but it's more difficult to do this kick (sorry for my english i'm french) . You must turn on yourself first. I cant explain realy that X) And are you realy black belt ?

    lol ^^ Don't worry ^^

  • Correct technique is very similar to side "thrusting" kick (using ITF terminology, i.e. NOT "piercing"). You should tilt the upper body sideways and forwards to prevent curvature of and strain on the back. DO lift the knee before kicking. That way you also get more power from the hip, and can change to a hooking kick if you see the opponent ready to block your kick from the shin side.

  • DON'T TRY THIS. I've studied and taught TKD for well over 20 years, and seeing the mistakes in this video upsets me. Keeping the knee down and chest front facing damages your back... fast leg extension tugs down your spine. That's why he can't lock out convincingly, and his balance seems off... he's fighting his own nervous systems protective instincts. I've even met a 5th dan TKD master who made the same mistake, had back pain for years, and thanked profusely for correcting it....

  • hey there tonester how are yoou hope ur doing good, im very intrigued by what u said im only a begginer in TKD gaawd i love kicks :> so i was wondering if u could tell me what kicks to start with or maybe which ones to avoid that may be harmfull like the one here :/

  • Doing good, thanks :-). Big question! Start with front kick. Not too high. Simple, but can be strong, requires little telegraphing, fast, easily balanced, quick recovery, easy to keep hands up to protect or attack again.

    - pull ball towards shin & toes up as soon as kicking foot leaves ground

    - lift foot to hip height, in close

    - thrust ball linearly towards the target, not arcing much

    - extend the ankle as you're completing the kick

    - supporting foot flat on the ground

    Cheers, Tony

  • front kick, side kick, turning kick. Those are the basic ones which most others build upon as its the technique that you need. Once you understand the technique a bit better you can develop onto back kicks and reverse kicks. Fundamentals are those 3 & most of the patterns will have them in. Once you get used to front, side and turning you can integrate a jump into it to make it a bit harder.

  • @TonesterD tats coz he didnt stretch u numb nut

  • @TonesterD hey i have been wanting to learn tae kwon do for a couple years now. i took it for a little while when i was seven. im 14 now and would like to get back into it but i dont have the money for it. and i think i could be good at it my reflexes are fast and im decently strong. do you know were i may be able to find some online lessons for free? ty please write back soon

  • why is he saying tsee?

  • hes "breathing"

  • haha... oh

  • he is terible i have red belt with black and i can kicking fastest and 1000000% better technique with this 4 dg dan :D i dont want where he teaching this yop ... but i know 1 thing ... dude dont send more movies u are suck :P

  • i don't think hes fit to do this LOL

  • lol i didnt need him to teach me tat. i could have so done that without any proper training

  • lol, im better than him =F hes terrible

  • im sry but this guy is not fit to teach this. he's terrible

  • all masters on internet...

  • hahah thats really funny and true

  • Yo, I was wonderin what value do give people trained from the Kukkiwon?

I ask this question because yall know the Kukkiwon doesnt recognize other BB's. Which is some bullshit.

  • i am not saying that martial arts are ineffective but its true to say most of them are all they teach you is techniques that a person could possibly never use on the street (within reason) trying to defend urself the only thing i gives u is mind strength endurance

  • You sir, dont have any clue at all!

  • only you. not us.

u duno wads call martial arts dumb ass.

and u never get use to it cuz u r such a dumb.

  • a friend of mine says hanna when were practicing, its kinda funny, i preffer to say kyaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and launch a killer kick to the head

  • I lol'd at the fact that he's in a fighting stance while talking. Like he's afraid the cameraman is a Ninja or something.

  • My father is a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has a studio in San Diego. I don't live with him, so I don't get to see, but expert village is probably the way to go if you can't get trained from a Master. =]

  • this kick is called düt chagi in korean! düt is back and chagi is kick ;)

  • It's called dwi (뒤) chagi (behind kick), at least in Korea. Might be different in America ㅋㅋㅋ.

  • Lol.. americans are really bad in martial arts XD

  • expert village fucking sucks!!!!

My master is way better than him!! I dnt even think he is a black belt!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are blind. He is donig the basics of tae kwon do.

  • Sure he might not be the best, but I definitely think he is good enough to teach basics like this.

And BTW, you can't say expert village sucks just because of this video. Tae kwon do is only a small part of their videos. Saying thy suck is like listening to a radio station, not likeing one song and saying the whole station sucks.

  • WOooOoOOoOoOT WOoOOoOoOoOOt TKD FOR LIFE BABY

  • wow this guy has terrible balance! and what is tsst!? is he spitting on the attacker? the "backstance it too long, too high, too much weight on front leg and front foot not straight. ever. that is also a very weird kick. also not kicking deep enough for a green belt juct flicking, the heel should be out as far as possible. leg not even straight, that wouldn't break a child's ribs let alone an angry roid-filled crazy man that might attack u!

  • u re right in every line u wrote.

    Cheers

  • Yeah, seriously. That fake sound bothers me, too.

  • "and what is tsst!? is he spitting on the attacker?"

He's breathing, that's all. From the sound of it, he's exhaling between clenched teeth. Everyone makes a slightly different sound when they breathe in martial arts. Like how a lot of people have different sounds they make when they kiyop (assuming they're not just saying "Kiyop!", which drives most of the TKD instructors I've chatted with nuts). :)

  • well i guess when u strike, if breath it will give more to your strike, i do not think the sound effect is necessary

  • LOL Yeah, some people have their own unique sound. I know I do. Its kind of like your identity. Most people I see do the typical "Kiyop!" though.

  • It even depends on mood, usually mine is like "Kyaa!" or "Ye-ah!" but there's been a few days where it's just naturally come out as "Pyaaa!"

  • Like Jarhead said, its just his version of Kiyop (like, a power word). It just helps most people to put mroe power in their kicks. Most poeple say "Kiya", but I've seen people who say "Ss" and "Moo". I personally say "Heh".

  • It's better if you do same thing but with back foot that in your case would be the right foot , you would get more power and better balance but I'am not the one with black belt(have red belt) so ty for video :) d-_-b

  • Thank youuuuuu!!!!!!!!!

I'm learning so much from you!

  • If the come toward you, you could always just spin around 180 degrees and excute a back kick.

  • ur actually shite im a yellow belt n i can do beta than that!!!

  • I'm a white belt and I could do better than that. Lols.

  • so can anyone haha . .. his knee should b higher than his kick !

  • ....In my TKD class we raise the knee all the way up. It generates more power like cocking the hammer of a gun.

  • In tang soo do we keep the knee high. =]

  • In my taekwondo school this kick is called a reverse side kick.

  • Lol, we just call it back kick at my academy

  • we call it the korean way so I can't remember what it's called xD (beginner here :P)

  • It's not a side kick. It's just a back kick. There's a difference.

  • yea idk if u guys noticed but these are beginer moves so yea

  • Are you really sure this is taekwondo? Because in taekwondo you don't look back when doing a back thrust.yes,a back thrust, not a back piercing kick

  • your face is a back thrust... na jks jks ... but seriously

  • if u don't look back, how will u know what you're kicking????!!! remember, u're trying to break the ribs, more specifically it's easier to break teh bottom 2, and if u and not even looking at your opponent they could have stepped back or moved or u could kick them in the gut and misse dthe bone altogether meaning u have to waste energy disabling ur opponent with a 2nd kick and any TKD move should stuff ur opponent 1st go.

  • You spin your leg 180 degrees so that whatever you kick would be directly infront of you before you turn. Besides, the reason why we train is to enhance our speed and accuracy,no?

  • no, for self defence, respect, patience and mental improvement. speed an acuracy comes as a result practice and exercise including TKD training.

  • thats why you must practice. this is one of the harder kicks to get good at, but when you do you will do some proper damage. its not always about taking the out, you could get some good points for it too.

  • Hands up :D

  • no its how to tie your belt properly =-)

  • i mean back kick sory lol miss typed

  • and we also call that kick back flip

  • guys im a black belt lol.. and i have been or a couple years.. i got it when i was 10 years old im now 12.. im from new zealand we do it there too

  • wow....go up to a black belt and call them a geek and see who will win that fight

  • what a lot of geeks you are

  • I learned the same thing in Goju Ryu Karate... never had to use it though. I usually try not to let anyone get on my back.

  • aznboi plz stfu cuz his form is perfect, i bet u can balance perfectly either if yur doing it in slow motion.... and masterful if sumone threw that kick at you u wouldt be laughiing, youd be crying.(been taking taekwondo for 11 years and am a blackbelt)

  • thats unfortunate you studied a martial art that includes almost nothing that you can use realisticly in a real street fight. Go to your local jiu jitsu club, walk in with your black belt and try to pull this shit off. You will only soon realize what a massive amount of time you've waisted after you get your ass handed to you.

  • Martial Arts is more than just fighting.

  • Life isn't ufc. Go get in a street fight against more than one person, take one to the ground (concrete btw, not padded floor), have his friends beat your ass into that lovely concrete, then comeback and tell me what is or isn't realistic. Closed minded people like you give all martial artists a bad name.

Its the practitioner, not the style. Ground work is good to know, but not good enough by itself. Just because some TKD players are only sport or are all show doesn't reflect on the whole style.

  • If someone walked up to me with five of their friends and started pushing up on me, trying to start a fight, and i shoot in, put that guy in an arm bar and snap his arm in 2, do you really think his friends are going to be trying to fight me... i think not. another thing i said TKD was a waist of time because it is, not just because you will get your ass handed to you from someone that knows BJJ but because you would get your ass handed to you from any joe blow. TDK don't work, its all show.

  • lol ok well you are obviously underestimating people and have never been in a street fight. Maybe YOUR friends wouldn't help you in a fight, but most others in a group would. And anything can be useful. Again, go and get in street fights and stop watching UFC before you try to talk like you have experience.

  • 1... learn how to spell and fix u your grammar.. "tkd don't work" "waist of time"

    2. lol 5 friends pushing you and then you give them armbar? very unrealistic, you've probably never been pushed

    3. striking and grappling are both important... you are being a fool by stating that bjj is better than striking

    4. you think an armbar on concrete is fun? wait until he tries to pick you up and slam you... thats if you aren't hurt enough just getting him to the ground

  • Don't forget about weapons, you never know if someone has a knife or not, OR you can take one guy to the ground while his friends stab you to death! People today don't fight fair and you NEVER know what to expect in a "real" fight. It could last 30sec or more and it mean you vs, 3-8 more people. You can shoot in and get shot in the face. But like Corolla XR5 said, Martial Arts is more than just fighting, There used to be such a thing as Martial Etiquette.

  • since when did people fight fair on the streets ... lol

  • lol, i know, i got ahead of myself there. Well The point I was making is that Street Fights are not fun even if you come out on top, you just never know what to expect.

  • so how many guys have you taken out with a Tae Kwon Do Back Piercing Kick, please enlighten me fuck head. Where did i ever say striking was not important, I just said TKD does not and would not work in a real street fight. I played rugby for 4 years in Canada including on frozen ground. I could tell you all about taking people to the ground, in a fight im not giving him a chance to slam me, this isn't waiting for him to tap like in a tourney, its snaping his arm in like 2 seconds.

  • Taekwondo would work in a real fight. Much depends on how you use it. But i admit that this kick is pretty lame... I don't like that guy...

  • are u KIDDING me? TKD is known for being great in street fights

  • You'd laugh if you knew how many black belts walk into a BJJ academy thinking they're tough shit. Only to never come back after being repeatedly subbed by white belts.

  • lol yeah

but you put them in the same shoe, have the bjj white belt go to the black belt's academy and spar them under their rules

    how well will they do?

  • 1... learn how to spell and fix u your grammar.

wow you made a grammar mistake while telling me to fix my grammar. How ironic

  • uh ok, read your stuff right now and compared to mine

i made a typo, you sound like your illiterate

  • I notice when people don't have a real point or something of significance to say they just attack one anothers grammar. How about you stick to the convo rather than talking about how I spelt waste wrong. Who the fuck cares its the internet and im talking to some homo, who actually thinks a Tae Kwon Do Back Piercing Kick would actually work in a real life situation.

  • it works

just because u dunno how to use it doesnt mean it doesnt

work if there's someone attacking u from the front and ur too busy with that guy to turn around to the back attacker, that kick is an option

u never know what's going to happen so it is always good to have new techniques

u discard this technique and deem it useless. but what you dont know is that many professional mma fighters and kickboxers use a modified version of this technique

some have ended fights with it

  • Fuck this im just going to buy a gun

  • lol

  • This is stupid. I've done tae kwon do for 4 years and that's completely useless. If you're going to do a back kick/mule kick (what it's really called) you use your front leg so you can gain power off your back leg. If you kick with your back leg you will not have that much power if any at all.

  • karate fighters aren't losers.. it's the same kick of karate... ;)

  • Looks powerful but why do a back kick off the back leg?

  • dude i take karate...and if someone threw that kick at me id just laugh.

  • Karate fighters are losers ;]

  • wow ur form is horrible, cant believe your teaching this, i mean u cant even balance on one foot jeez

  • i can do that.joking.

  • this made me very sleepy

  • lol thats............ :P

  • Anything from Expert village is crud.

  • This is true.

  • Its just a side kick...

    "back piercing??"

Granted side kicks are the most powerful.

If the guy is coming from behind you might as well do a spin-side kick/jump-spin-side kick though...

  • Seriously though. Spin side kicks you learn as a green belt aka after six months. You have no buisness doing this if you can't side kick/front/round/hook/crescent/block/ect. ect.

  • rofl I just relized his hands are down

    rofl

  • Mr. Aaron, when you put stuff on the net, be ligit. Please. There is enough crud on the net as it is. Your hands are down, your leg isn't in chamber, and your way off balance. You are begging to be leg checked.

  • dude, dont teach someone how to kick if you cant even keep your balance

  • why does he go TST every time he kicks? he watches too manny movies xD

  • Its probably to get more air when you hit because getting winded is worse than saying TST and breathing

  • fair nuff still dont see how that works :P

  • his guard is poor, look at his feet, the back foot should be more slided at the back of the other foot

  • i can do it better than you man. and btw its not called back piercing kick. its called yoptsakior titsaki if you turn 180

  • uummm gay

  • Useless if the other guy has a gun.

  • How many fights have you been in where the other guy has a gun? (assuming your not in the army, cause an army guy wouldn't post such a stupid comment)

  • You're right. I'm sure your World of Warcraft skills will be more useful in such a situation.

  • The backkick is taught wrong quite a bit, You get no power when your knee is pointed down like that. You have to bring it up and fully extent through the body as if the move was flowing out of you.

  • my favorite move is the skipping side kick, the most powerful move (that i am aware of) and it is also a favorite of the hulk (u will c him use it several times in the movie).

  • sliding is better

  • on a back kick ?

  • ok americans cannot do tae kwon do, only asians >.> not to racist but seriously also he didnt bow right

  • stfu god made us equal

  • hey u dont make any scence whats the facter that makes asians differant from americans alot of americans i know are also asian what then??

  • dont judge all americans off of just this vid i know that some americans can do tae-kwon do well
