I love that she's completely nuts. it keeps her from being too perfect. think about it, she's beautiful but also smarter than you and me (she says in one episode she was her class valedictorian) she's also clearly very driven. just because she wanted to be a doctor to please her father doesn't make getting into then through med school and residency any easier.

I agree, that's why I liked Elliot better in the earlier seasons when she was all hyper-competitive and psychotic, it gave her a lot more depth. In the newer seasons, they don't really stress that side of her personality too much (aside from the occasional times she talks fast or in a high-pitched voice), which is why I don't find myself liking her as much in the more recent seasons~

@interruptTaylorSwift They keep changing the personalities of all the characters around. They're all over the place. We can relate to ALL of them at some point. They changed JD, Turk, Kelso and everyone else. Chalke says that's one of the most interesting things about the show.

The characters aren't specific people. They're everybody.
