I would agree with larger holes, but I think the best option would be to meter back the air flow just a bit with a valve.

I think it needs bigger holes in the cap to let that air out more smoothly. That would stop the 'bouncing'. Nice neat simple idea though. I think I'll make one!

This to me isn't a really good tumbler you can see that the eggs are being tumbled rather vigorous. Thank for sharing the video thought
