Still can't get over how amazing this really is. The song always spoke to the soul but this version is something else entirely. Sounding like a major twat online is important to me.
Yeah I saw them live in Liverpool and they just played the songs head down as fast as they could - pretty disappointing. A strange legacy. Some really good tracks with some ambition. This is their finest hour.
hahaha, tell me abut it! im from México! they never came to play here :(
mansun's shows was a really trip to connect yourself with a mistical feeling.... i relly hope a reunion of this band....i know it will never be, but i hope.....
Saw them front row being general admission at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston opening for the Sea Horses in 97, with respect to John Squire, Mansun stole the show.
This is fucking awesome. I must disagree though, their best performance was Leeds festival, NME stage, headliners, 1997. That was truly the best gig I've ever seen and I was only 16.
Sounds superb despite the lack of strings. I recon if they made it big big BIG, they'ld have been a 40 piece orchestra behind them and that would have blown me away.
It's such a cracker, isn't it? Ten years on, I'm quite certain that the track's transition into vocals on the album still defines bits of my musical taste.
This is a great live version. And I still hope beyond hope that I'll get to see it live with full orchestra.

Such a wonderful melody, skewed by unhappiness and misery. You can see Mr Draper's rage. Very dark.

NME tent, T-in-the-park, back in the day.
Fucking blinder of a show, and smashed guitars as well.

I agree on that one; they're OK live, but I don't think they do their records justice
