I've seen both Avatar and Battle for Terra, and although they are similar, I think people should appreciate that both have original motives. Where as in Avatar, the battle was simply for the death of a tribe, in an act of greed. The humans could have gotton unobtanium anywhere else, but hometree happened to be the argest dipost. In contrast, Battle for Terra is an desperate struggle for survival.

Although Avatar was probably better, these two films have many differences.

I have not seen this movie, but I believe there is more to it than 'all the humans in this movie are war mongers'. In the trailer it showed a few trying to maintain peace and not exterminate innocents as self-centered bastards. Desperation and idiocy forced their leader here to take over the planet, which is wrong. I also find amazing the aliens here are given much attention as characters, not just the humans.
