@CRASH5band Watch it from about 4:36 and see that he constantly boosts. After he gets off the rail a minute later the aura changes to a light shade of green and blue. If you watch a more HD version I'm sure you'd notice.

@WilliamWillWillson it LOOKS better. but this has an unnecassary level up system, and WAY too much boost. unlike the Wii version you can just boost all the way through a level. you don't have to save it up for the right time.

and the hazards are very unpredictable. to get an S-rank in later levels you have to play over and over until you've memorised enough hazards to finish with a ton of rings. no creativity needed.

Sega really is screwing up latly. 3d blast would have been nice but for the flickies. Adventure 1 would have been nice if it was only sonic you controlled, same for adventure 2. Heroes due to the amount of platforming might be the perfect 3d sonic game minus the"heros". 06could have been reallyy good if they had put more work into it. secret rings needed better controls, black knight minus the sword. Unleashed would easily be the best w/o werehog. thank goodness colors and 4 are better.

theres several reasons i like the 360 version more than Ps2(and i played both)

1. you can actually use the boost the entire stage.

2. they dont cut out some day time stages off like they did Mazuri and had more night time stages.

3. in the PS2 u can only slide on water not run on it

4. certain day elements were not there like running through the Chinese dragon and stuff like it

5. even the night time stages are more enjoyable with the leveling up and critical hit element and shoy-hog-ken :P

@percival369 i actually find it really easy on Ps2 because of the fact you cant boost for such a long time, it really is hard on 360 cause you have to time everything right and react fast enough i also got the game cause in the chun-nan level you run on a dragon statue but they didnt have that in PS2 and i was pissed :P

It´s very pretty on the eye, but the level design is videogame HELL. Seriously, I have fully beaten the 360/ps3 version of Sonic Unleashed, and, I´m warning you, it puts the worldwide famous Lost Level´s difficulty to shame, specially if you want all the chilli dogs and S ranks.

Instead of act 1, 2, 3, etc , the levels should´ve been called "you hit a cheap spike ball and fall to your doom", "1 second-6 button QTE over a botomless pit", "you die multiple times" etc

Actually, you're right because I've played the Xbox 360 version just recently and quite of few of the levels especially the later levels are VERY challenging.

You need to do the wall jump. Press the A button to jump while touching the wall, and keep jumping while Sonic jumps from left to right sides and you'll be able to reach it easily.
