During the playoffs, when PHX had the ball, the Spurs (if they were losing) would run up & intentionally foul Shaq, knowing he would miss most free-throws and Spurs would get the ball back..

Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't because he made both free-throws, but that's how the phrase "Hack-a-Shaq" was coined.

Anyway, Shaq called Greg Papovich a coward so they had this beef going on during the Suns VS Spurs series. And when they played the first time in next season, Papovich played a prank.
