nah. i usually just fool around with the tuning until I discover some open sounding chord that's really good. but there are a few things to keep in mind. Like it's usually a good idea to heave a 4th or 5th between the bass strings because those intervals really provide a solid framework for harmonic progressions, but even I don't always do that

i can understand why ur happy at the end, it seems in the blooper u messed up at some parts late in the song so u had to start over recording all over again right? ive been recording some music but it wont upload on my comp and i have a pretty good camera (.avi) im thinking of just buying a webcam

haha yeah its terrible when you mess up near the end. that's strange that your camera won't upload to your computer. if your getting a webcam for music, make sure it has a really good microphone. mine doesn't so i have started recording the audio separately with an audio recorder and then syncing it with the video

thanks! yeah i wrote it. its in EABEBe. and as far as the nails go, i'm still taking alot of chemistry and physics and stuff like that so i can get by. i just get some weird looks every once in a while :)

i am taking piano lessons, and that is tough with long nails

To give some constructive criticism I have to say your tempo/beat swayed at a few places. And I felt that the song changed tempo a bit too often. But this is really good anyhow, you're very skilled! Keep at it.

yeah i noticed that too. i played the hammer-on/pull off run at the beginning a little bit too fast, and then the tempo slows down a little afterwards. i will definitely address this tempo issue if I ever record professionally. thanks for your comments
