AhA! I've finally found the source of all those weird dreams I've been having since I was a kid. I must have watched this show when I was an infant or something and it f#%ked up my brain.
Yeah, he used to scare me too when I was a kid, and no, Jim Henson had nothing to do with this show, at all, period. Some of the voices are similar but that's mainly due to Henson's influence on puppets in general. Still a funny show though.
the great space coaster puppet characters were Jim Henson's muppets. I think the show was Jim Henson's creativity or he was just part of it. but anyway, the same voices used for the GSC show were also used in Sesame street and the Muppet show.
Both of this puppets freaked me out...also the laugh track kind of added to the weirdness of the show. I remember the actual people singing yellow submarine in one episode. Great theme song too!
what i think you and Stevenwernke fail to realize is that the world of puppetry, at least at that level, was relatively small. That is why some of the puppeteers, voice actors, designers, etc for The Great Space Coaster also had experience working on The Muppet Show and/or Sesame Street.

M.T. Promises was the evil villain with a top hat and a thick mustache.Everytime that he came and left, organ grinder music played.He was an evil circus ringleader who was always after Baxter, The Clown, who had escaped from his show. Baxter had the power to make himself invisble!

I remember this show on WPIX 11 New York around 1984/85. It came on weekdays 7 AM followed by Robotech. Good times of the 80's.

Oddly enough, yes I do! TGSC had quite a few guest stars in it's time. Surprising for such a little known show! I thought it was shocking that they got Vincent Price to do so many episodes of "The hilarious house of Frightenstein" but there you go! The 70's were a different time! Back when you could get big stars to do kid's shows without a court order!!! (I.E. Mr. Conductor)

It becomes all the more apparent that someone with the Muppets (as you said, FL1992 Kermit Love did-- kind of an ironic name, don't you think?) created the puppets on GSC-- Goriddle looked like Animal, and the society pink bird looks like she could be the aunt of Big Bird. It's so funny that Clash did Goriddle and now does Elmo. Bizarre!

Does anyone remember the anti-gravity day episode, where everything in Coasterville including Frannie's guitar went flying up in the air? The 3 kids joked that they'd better hold onto light things like Goriddle, or they'd loose them! Baxter put his arms on top of Goriddle. Goriddle said, Now don't hold me down too tight!

Alright, I have a memory of this show that has haunted me for more than 20 years. I was 4 at the time so this question may be kinda out there. Does anyone remember a music video clip they showed that was animated, vaguely like japanamation, with several cyborg-like beings standing on the outside of a spaceship playing string instruments. I remember it sounding amazing. If anyone can direct me to the name of this band/song whatever I would be sooo greatful.

Griffis180, your not imagining the Hotfudge Sunday Show. I distinctly remember the only female actress in the cast having a character named "Pennypenwoman." The aired the show on Sunday mornings about 11am here in Chicago where I live. We grew up with some great shows of the late 70's and into the early to mid 80's. Anything after that and it all went downhill from that point on!
