Nazi Germany was the reason, but only because they have invaded Czech and Moravian parts of the country creating a protectorate..Horthys regime during WW II was as subordinate to Hitler, as Slovak state was, so no difference there between Hungary and Slovakia during world war.Just that you deported more ppl to concentration camps ...

@Gellande really? Sorry to disappoint you, but Slovak state (not republic) was cretaed in 1939 and not established by Hitler. Nazi Germany was the reason, but only because they have invaded Czech and Moravian parts of the country creating a protectorate..Horthys regime during WW II was as subordinate to Hitler, as Slovak state was, so no difference there between Hungary and Slovakia during world war.Just that you deported more ppl to concentration camps ...

@sofamili during the 19th century ethnic composition of so called "Hungarian" kingdom is well known and you can easily be find in many sources that underlying reality that Hungarians made up less than 30% of whole population that's not a Slovak thing it's internationally well known fact and if you're not aware of that your history books purposely omitted this fact. Later composition of the population changed drastically especially bcs of so called Magyrization. These facts led to the Trianon
