I was really into Boxing when I was younger. Mike Tyson did make boxing cool in the 80's. After Tyson, there was.......???? hmmm, I respect boxing as an art, but I'm not familiar with who's who because it's not so mainstream popular.
I train MMA, and I do train boxing. I watch MMA fighters who specialize in boxing (Reshad Evans), and They have some of the hardest, most accurate shots. Knockout shots. I do wrestling, bjj, kickboxing, and boxing as my core strengths. You'll all know me someday ;)
As far as I'm aware neither wrestling nor mma was ever mainstream in Europe (thankfully).
If you want to see knockouts, why watch mma when you can watch K1? Its not interrupted by boring groundwork so there's more of those shots you seem to like.

first of all i'll admit this, mma are better fighters than boxer. boxing is just a punching sport, mma is a fighting sport.
but mma beat boxers in street fight? wrong. doesnt matter who you are, mma or boxing. everyone is vulnerable in the streets. In the cage or in the ring there isnt eye pokes, there isnt low blows, there isnt weapons, etc. but the street does. long stort short, the street have no rules.

A prime Tyson fuck up 3 Tank Abbots in a boxing,MMA, or street fight,Dumbass. A prime Tyson wouldn't have to go to the mat to beat you cause he would KO your ass before u could bring him down. The ONLY man I could think who MAY beat a prime Tyson is Fedor Emelianenko. That's it. Ali wouldn't have made it out of the 2nd round. Masutatsu Oyama was fighting against many fighters, boxers were among them and still his technique was good enough to defeat most of them (karate, judo, jujitsu, boxing etc.).

Ali is the best heavyweight of all time. Ali fought the tougher fighters such as Foreman(in his prime) Frazier, Norton, etc.The heavyweight division during Tysons time was weak.

I was really into Boxing when I was younger. Mike Tyson did make boxing cool in the 80's. After Tyson, there was.......???? hmmm, I respect boxing as an art, but I'm not familiar with who's who because it's not so mainstream popular.
I train MMA, and I do train boxing. I watch MMA fighters who specialize in boxing (Reshad Evans), and They have some of the hardest, most accurate shots. Knockout shots. I do wrestling, bjj, kickboxing, and boxing as my core strengths. You'll all know me someday ;)

If you want to see knockouts, why watch mma when you can watch K1? Its not interrupted by boring groundwork so there's more of those shots you seem to like.

Well thats one way of looking at it. The way I see it, mixing more technique just waters it down, and makes more room for mistakes and randomness.
