@Sanderrr1994 Basically the biggest advantage of the dual exhaust is that it looks badass. Honda says it's supposed to balance out the weight of the bike.. But I own this bike and there's no real difference lol

@123michaeln There is no such thing as a 250f, there is a 250X, which is almost the exact same bike with some minor tweaking for trail racing rather than track. (Wide ratio transmission, lower end cam, softer shocks, increased cooling capacity and gas tank, electric start) I think the X shares 95-98% of its parts with the R.

@Slyder1212 No, you can't just put the F where ever you want. If Honda calls it a CRF250R then that is what everyone without down syndrome should call it as well. What you have confused is either that the CR250R could also be called a 250R. It also might be confusing for a simple person that Yamaha ends the name's of their fourstroke race bikes with an F. You really should just listen to me when I say go to the Honda site and check for yourself.

@Slyder1212 Never had a 450, had a 83' Suzuki DS 80, 06' CRF150F and a 04 CRF250X. Never had a 450, I never felt the need to go and buy a big bike if I wasn't good enough to use it to it's full potential. It seems you do have to worry about the parts because you mentioned you are waiting for parts to arrive. I assume you order parts for a 99 RM250 not an R250M right? Of course you do because that is the correct name for it.

You were throwing roost at one point so the clutch wasn't bad.

i like how he says longer header for more topend haha, long is for torque short for over rev (AKA top end power. And if you keep your air filter cleaned and oiled valve adjustment isnt as bad as every one says it is do not change them out for stainless valves and heavier springs, they are light weight so the they dont float as well as wearing out exhaust guides quicker do to the rocker arm setup.

I've got a 2005 crf250r, 2005 kdx 220r, and a 2006 klx 110....the crf sucks....takes 20 minutes to warm up and get a good setting on the carb. can't pick the front end up unless you feather the clutch like a mad man. kdx stand up in every gear but 6th and even fouls less plugs(only one in 4 years).....I hope the 2 strokes come back, much better bikes. the 110 is my wifes.....it's off limits ;-).

@Lizzylump My bike was doin the same thing i have an 08 250r and my valves were too tight out of the factory. so u just gotta get em adjusted and shimmed but its not bad. hondas valves are shit! u have to replace them after a couple of times getting ur valvs adjusted but after that ur okay. hope that helps.
