  • I did this in school it was awesome!

I want them to make a new version for 10.6 and 10.7 so I can run it at home though.

  • There are viruses on any OS, it is just that windows is by far the most used so no one will bother to even learn about a new and unfamiliar OS. That isn't to say there aren't simple MAC viruses which steal data, keylog for credit cards, etc. just like on Windows.. in fact windows has a lot of undetected ones even with the anti-viruses, firewalls, etc. which either screw up your system for amusement or do the same thing as above.

  • @BlackOps78321

Rootkits are the #1 security threat on Macs as of today. Worms, Trojans and Macroviruses follow closely behind. You're absolutely right about the reason for less Mac viruses. I keep trying to explain it to people who say Macs are of better quality. If Apple sold 10,000 macs in one month, and PCs sold 1,000,000 units per month, you'd obviously see far, far more technical issues popping up. The much lower adoption rate of Mac creates the illusion of quality where there is none.

  • Cool O_O.

  • I've seen this before. My friend did it on his mac.

  • Commercial for virus ! :D

  • nice effect, but this isn´t real

  • excuse me, but can you restart this so all the applications on your desktop are not fumbled up forever? please answer.

  • I don't know Macbook has a motion sensor.

  • the creeper was the first virus. it was harmless and the first anti virus was created. it was called the reaper. the elk cloner was alike in the way it infects but it affected the apple 2 and it didnt do much. the elk cloner was a the first mac virus when mac was called a apple

  • That is cool

  • I LOLED. Is there really an accelerometer in most macbooks?

  • >.< it looks the same as a friken app

  • FAKE AND GAY!!

  • @nathanjames098 As a Mac user, they can get viruses. I've never had one in 5 years though, and I certainly don't use virus protection software which eats away at your CPU performance.

  • macs dont get virus because every thing supports on windows the more people who use

windows the more people who make virus for windows!!

infact the virus software on windows can remove it in 27.7 seconds!! or less malware 5.4 seconds. AND WY DOES APPLE HATE WINDOWS ESPECAILY WINDOWS 7 BECAUSE THEY FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS FROM VISTA AND IF YOU GET VISTA IN 64 BIT IT DOESNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!! I GOT A VIRUS WHEN I WENT ON THE APPLE WEBSITE FOR NO REASEAN MALWARE!

  • noob below me

  • BUT MAC DOESN'T GET VIRUSES BECUZ OF TEH SECUR OPERATIN SESTEM AND SECURETY BETTAH DAN WINDOOOOWWS

  • @0MrAnon2 your fuckin retarded dude

  • @homekenzdude3454 And thus the point I was trying to make is achieved. Congrats on being an idiot

  • @0MrAnon2 what the hell are u talking about u fucking homo... maybe you should reply to other peoples replies with a fucking idea of what ur talking about

  • @homekenzdude3454 2004 called, they want their insults back. I was satirising a Mac user's view. Don't get so mad at people on the internet, kid

  • Wow. rigid body collision on the desktop. I didn't know the macOS API allowed applications to actually MOVE the desktop icons.I wonder if they programmed the physics themselves or if they used a 2d physics engine like"Chipmunk". They should also make a windows version.

  • It should be called "Gravity Virus"

  • @tweetyaja Isaac Newton discovered the laws of gravity, hence "Newton Virus". (something like that)

  • Cool virus but...where's the dock?

  • that is funny

  • watch?v=V5b-6_ZNyaY

  • Finally a use for the Sudden Motion Sensor other than protecting your hard drive.

  • injected by good old in-and-out? she must of been traumatized O_______o

  • how does this work u just put the file on the desktop and then it works? answer ASAP thanks

  • you see THIS is what happens when you give mac fags and it's gets it REALY high

  • We NEED a Linux version of this!! or at least a wind....s

  • take that you macfags!!!!!

  • Link is broke you moron :P

  • hey does this works on XP or 7?

  • 1,124 likes are windows users and 101 dislikes Steve Jobses

  • @Marden16 I liked this, I have a mac

  • @Marden16 you do realize thi is a joke right?

  • @Marden16 Literally the most veracious statement I have ever heard. Literally.

  • @Marden16 im a mac user and i liked the video...

  • @Marden16 that's not a real virus, get a life windows user

  • @CarrubZ wow ur a hypocrite ur gonna tell a guy to get a life but u label him as a windows user instead of usin a normal label like dude or bro this shows that u have no life and are deeply entrenched in this microsoft vs apple debate

  • lol 2:05 flashes pic

  • lolage!

  • but macs can get virusis. go to my channel to find out how

  • WHENS IT GUNNA BE OUT!!!?!?!?! ITS ALWAYS UNDERGOING UPDATES

  • mice way to brake a mac, and have to buy a new 1, lol

  • does anyone know how i can get rid of a boot sector virus, apparantly i have one in my pc because i whenever im surfing the net the screen freezes and i the keyboard and mouse wont work and the blue screen of death appears, so i took it to a repair centre and they said i have a boot sector virus and the hardware is ok i have two hard drives in it and hd 5770 ati xfx 1gb and 2gb ram, 2x 64 amd. and he said all the hard ware is fine. im not very techy but i thought i would ask thanks

  • @skyla20 Get a mac.

  • @skyla20 Get a new PC. Or get a mac and you won't have any more troubles.

  • @skyla20 the only way to get rid of that boot sector virus is to do a low level format using ur hard drive manufacturers software, only way i got it off my external hard drive. not even a regular format worked

  • Shit, even viruses are better.

  • I like this fake video guys... I don't think macs have gyro xD iPods do

  • Where can i download this? (UK)

  • @SuperMacReview Being in the UK really restricts your download possibilities. They don't allow you to download from out of the country.

  • Thumbs up if you also ran this on a school MacBook

... I did and the teacher was like Get back to FOX news, so I was there and the anchor on the video was like There was a tote bag belonging to a Chicago prostitute, and the teacher just looked at me.

  • Note to all:

While you can indeed get this off of sites like ThePirateBay (since it is not being developed any more), it appears to only be compatible with OS X 10.4, also known as Tiger.

  • Anybody notice the black apple with a mouth at 2:06?

  • win

  • Does it fix itself afterwards? Is it like a prank or a real virus?

  • @plazmotech It is a prank.

Granted, it could actually be a virus, but that would go for any program you download.

  • @duckwithnukes HOW DO YOU FIX IT AFTER?????

  • @plazmotech Please stop the all-caps comments.

Once the Virus has been activated, it will run for (either 30 seconds or one minute--can't remember). After that, everything goes back to the way it was before the virus is activated. There are no permanent effects whatsoever.

  • @duckwithnukes Ya, Thanks. i just wanted to know already. THAN… oh… right… thank you.

  • @duckwithnukes WHAT'S WRONG WITH ALL CAP COMMENTS? DOES IT BOTHER YOU? ARE THEY HARDER TO READ? DOES YOUR HEAD HURT? CAN YOU STILL SEE STRAIGHT?

  • @duckwithnukes Especially programs that run on macs.

  • what i cant understand, is why someone would like to destroy other peoples hard drives, do they jerk of watching other peoples computers get fucked up, because of their virus... i dont get it???

  • @skogis06 I Totally agree. BUT I like to make FAKE Viruses. it says "You have a virus" or something like that, then it makes you shutdown. its not harmful to computer though, it just a joke.

  • @plazmotech yeah, thats true, it scares the shit out of people :P

  • @skogis06 Yup, i ussually hide around and wait for the victim to come, then after they shut down, i tell them it was fake, and how to fix it. its fun. :)

  • @plazmotech The victim comes? hmmm...not my kind of scene. But I understand why apple people would like that.

  • People are ignorant when it comes to viruses. Do you even know who makes viruses? Think about those viruses that harm your computer, but with no personal gain for the attacker. So why bother, right? WRONG. Who profits from a virus that doesn't steal any information, but simply just jacks up your operating system? The AntiVirus companies! So why do Macs have less viruses? Simple; Supply and Demand. Less Supply of Viruses, Less Demand on AntiVirus software.

  • Is this a joke?

  • Wanna see ur mac use its acceleromteters? Get Liquidmac.

  • 144 peoples dont like Windows viruses and switched to Mac

  • Not a virus, if it doesn't infect others.

  • First time in history there is real gravity in an OS? I guess you've never used Gravité for Mac OS 7 then. :P (old-schoolers unite, yeah!)

Also, @EdgeOfPain... *what*? No, Mac OS is not 'based on Linux'! it's got a BSD Unix compatibility layer, and that layer and the kernel are open source. The UI and most everything else you'd normally associate with "being a Mac" is *not* open source.

  • Yo también quiero un virus así en mi Mac :D

  • Especially good, and funniest, because when you rotate your Mac (if you use Macbook) the screen will follow the turns of the Mac screen rotation (if you use Macbook too!)

Its very funny, Do it at your friends computers (if your friends computer is a Mac) and start annoy/scare your friends

  • only for mac?

  • This makes me want to buy a mac..

  • ....hmmm... mac has tilt sensitivity. WTF STEVE JOBBS really? fucking macs suck, instead of being useful they devevope that..... really... D:

i hate macs. they cost so fucking much seen a 6k$ comp and it had shit for it, basic mac software and A SHIT LOAD OF *TRIALS* omg mac sucks ass.

u look, mac (best comp they got 6000$) = MAC OS + TRIALS X 100 or Windows (Alienware computer [best alienware comp] 4000$) = Equipped with the Active Venting Thermal Management System A LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM

  • well theres alot more to write but that would take 5 comments, and if u really must know go here :D dell(INSERT PERIOD HERE)com/us/p/alienware-area51-alx/pd?refid=alienware-area-51-alx

  • @travazoid911 when you get a mac you get great specs os x and idk were you got the information for a shit ton of trials but thats wrong when you get a mac you get top notch performance reliability and just what you pay for there are no trial shit on there plus this wasnt made by steve jobs dumbass it was made by developers that own macs not apple themselves why dont you do some research and actually use a mac first before you start throwing out retarded false info

  • @tatertots900

The reason why you get top notch performance and reliability is because the Mac OS is Linux based! yay :D

That also means that although Apple can charge as much as they want for Macs, you can download the OS for free because it is actually open source.

So really when you support a Mac you are supporting Linux + decent hardware.

  • @Edge0fPain MAc OS is not LINUX based... It shares some code with UNIX.... LINUX is UNIx based,,,, not mac OS.. therefore, mac os is not open source

  • @tatertots900 the thing is you don't get what you pay for at all. you can get the exact same specs in a regular pc for less than half the price. not to mention a pc is far more compatible with any hardware that you want to buy (ie you can upgrade the GPU, CPU, RAM, mobo, cooling, or storage far easier). there are also far more choices aesthetically when you buy a PC than a mac.

  • @travazoid911 alienware is where you wnt wrong in that rant, never use alienware as comparison to anything.... dell is just as fucking bad as alienware. Go build your own computer

  • @mindkilla123 u dumb shit, dell didn't make it, they just host it, like walmart hosts products, macs hold all the boring shit there known for, but then they say windows is just good for games, LOOK CLOSELY they have had BETTER software then them for years. Fuck this no use arguing with an idiot.

  • @travazoid911 i wasn't defending macs, i have never owned a mac so i'm not pithing toward that but i've owned dells and alienware are as much dell as ipod is apple

  • dis some old bullshit

  • @BLUESOULDESIGNS won't work on snow leopard

  • Since when did apple put accelerometers into their laptops?

  • @Ronnie51026 they put accelerometers into their laptops for a while now. in the event of you dropping your macbook, the accelerometer senses the g force and shuts down the hard drive to prepare for impact. not very useful, but it is pretty cool.

  • @LimitedWard Wow, they should really put that kind of thing onto the website. Doesn't toshiba have something just like that?

  • @Ronnie51026 idk. i only know about macs becaue i have one.

  • @LimitedWard my netbook has that, nothing new.

  • @Ronnie51026

the accelerometers are build in for min 2 years or more... they build it in at the beginning, so that the hdd gets protected, when the notebook should fall down...

  • @Ronnie51026 Since a long time ago. 2005, I think.

  • @MBP6705 ehm, but thats been answered 2 weeks ago. Sorry.

  • @Ronnie51026 I think it is just using the webcam.

  • @lamReptar accelerometers used to protect against falls. A webcam would be very inefficient.

  • @Ronnie51026 r u serious???

  • @Ronnie51026 Since the MacBooks were released, all MacBooks have accelerometers, it's main feature was to prepare the hard drive for a fall to prevent damage if dropped, but is accessable to any software coded for accelerometers

  • @mikedamirault DUDE. it was answered already!

  • @apples do have them in teir laptops, or some kind of sensor- try downloading liquid mac from the apple store and try it urself!!

  • @schackwow yippe the seventh time i get a question answered, check the replies god.

  • @Ronnie51026 For many years...to protect the hard drives from data loss, so the writehead is put into a save position ;)

  • @Ronnie51026 since 3 years

  • @Ronnie51026 Since 2006.

  • @Ronnie51026 thats my question too!!

  • @Ronnie51026 Since like forever... I know my old PowerBook G4 had one, and all the newer models have them. They're to shut off the hard drive if it senses that it's falling.

  • @GavinRoskamp Thank you for answering my question answerer #10.

  • @Ronnie51026 Well sorry! Your question has 22 thumbs up from other people that apparently didn't know this, so it will be there for a while. You're gonna get answers. Deal with it.

  • @GavinRoskamp I got answers and most people see the @Ronnie51026 s up and down the page and happen to see that an answer is there and just think not to answer again.

  • @Ronnie51026 Years ago.

  • @Ronnie51026 Not sure, but the latest versions of macbooks have them. You can get widgets which make use of the accelerometer!

  • @Ronnie51026 Since 2005. Maybe even earlier.

  • @Ronnie51026 Since 2006.

  • @Ronnie51026 It's not using an accelerometer, it's using the Sudden Motion Detector that Apple builds in every macbook. It detects when you drop your laptop and it auto-locks your hardrive to prevent data loss. At least that was it's original purpose.... :)

  • @alexander9619 Lol you state that it's not an accelerometer, yet your description of what it is describes perfectly an accelerometer. It's like saying "this isn't an apple. This is a fruit that grows from an apple tree".

  • @Ronnie51026 Never this virus just tracks motion in the iSight Camera

  • @Ronnie51026 since a while ago

  • @Ronnie51026 They have for a long time. In case it falls off a desk or something, it will stop spinning the hard drive so you don't have a head crash.

  • @Technoguy3 His question was answered 4 months ago. I think he gets it by now.

  • @Ronnie51026 you must be kidding !!

    it's a mbpro ! it has 3-axial hdd protection sensors, doh !?

  • @Ronnie51026 you must be kidding !!

    it's a mbpro ! it has 3-axial hdd protection sensors, doh !?

  • Use this at work and say your computer got a virus that makes working impossible. Free extended coffee break!

  • I want to 2006 macbook pro, because i Was not yet trying Old Macs At Any Times

  • wow thats cool! is there a way of uninstalling it?

  • @canavra It automatically stops after 60 seconds, and deletes itself

  • I was expecting to see my own desktop fall to pieces haha.

  • lets see , "ESC", close video. All Fixed

  • @SmallxTaylor wait just a minute smarty pants! actually it's not a video. it works with the accelerometer inside the mac. pressing esc on mac os 10.6 wont stop any video btw.

  • i bet the guy holding the mac was Keanu Reeves

  • @jedilosith u retard i no this is not a real virus but macs DO get viruses only if ur stupid enough to get them

  • @MovingContradiction lol yea really ticksme off when people say its because no one uses them makes me laugh sooo much when apple has 25% of the market

  • @ninja8745

Actually, Macs generally aren't the target of viruses simply due to there minor popularity. Yes, they are 25% of the market, but that is still a nominally small figure as compared to the other 70%+ of PC based users. Macs still aren't a big enough target for people to take the time to write viruses for them. If they hit that 50% benchmark, you'll soon see that change.

  • @AndrewDeLong PLUS, its much harder to make viruses for macs because their program files are like a billion times safer

  • @purekf Actually, I know someone who bases all of his Mac hacking/virus making off from the idea that each new OS for Macs is just a build on the previous shell, and getting into the base shell is relatively easy (when dealing with the average Mac user who DOESN'T set up their comp security but leaves it "as is" (out of the box) in security terms). Basically, it depends on who you are and what you know.

  • @AndrewDeLong cool didn't know that lol

  • @MovingContradiction it is a real virus. it runs without the users command. Its just not a conventional one.

  • That's fucking awesome. I'd buy it just to play with.

  • This is very imaginative and awesome.

  • HAHAHAHHAH LOL why would you want to pay for a virus?

  • Macs being flawless? That's a big call... So things like yellow tinged screens that apple refused to fix don't count as flaws?

  • @hanger1800 lol you can fix it yourself they even told you its just a flaw in the stupid screen prefrences

  • @ninja8745 it isn't a flaw in the screen pref. its a piece of software that interacts with the mac accelerometer. after it runs for about 20 minuts it stops

  • YOU FOOLS THAT IS A MAC APP THAT IS A GAME THE NEWTON MAC VIRUS IS NOT REAL AND MACS STILL DONT GET ANY VIRUSES

  • @Jedilosith macs do get virus for one and two that is a app so shut the fuck up about macs not getting virus any computer can get a virus its just depends on if your crappy antivirus can pick it up or not

  • @ncis0520 just to clear it up a bit. there is only one known virus that actually runs on mac os X 10.5. there are 0 viruses that run on mac os 10.6. and there are plenty of viruses that un on 10.4 and 10.3 and so on... but hardly anyone has those OS

  • @Jedilosith macs do get viruses just check other videos about macs having viruses

  • @Jedilosith ahahaha i have watched many vids about mac viruses you brainwashed fanboy

  • @Messi10ibra9COPYxD lol you have to be a dumbass to get one though unless you pirated/cracked your mac

  • FAKE it's a video.

  • @Applegunkark how is this fake? i've seen this in person. it does work.

  • Actually watch from 2:05 you can notice it easier lmao

  • lol subliminal messaging at 2:08 lol

  • ...But instead, I get trojans.

  • i actually wanna catch one of these viruses! xD

  • can you change the computer back to normal?

  • this would be a good prank on my MacBook!

  • viruses that dont destroy are chill

  • ok this think is awesome, but my question is, Why does apple build computers with accelerometers in them?

  • @bro589 Mainly for HDD protection, but also cause they are cool

  • lolol rofl!

  • BWUUWHAHAHAH!! I might just have to buy a mac for this :D

    THIS IS FReAKIN HILARIOUS!!

  • Probably the only virus people WANT to have ;P

  • Theory on how virus works:

Virus goes through desktop, getting position icon and name of shortcut, exe's pictures, etc.

Virus has physics engine on it, probably box2d.

Virus renders each icon, the desktop background, and the top and bottom bar.

Virus generates a physical object for each renderable object.

Virus adds force onto the physical object depending on the angular orientation of the laptop in space, preferably webcam-wise.

Or, virus uses a premade desktop.

  • @NakedCreep macbooks have built in accelerometer, that is how it determines orientation
